  1. Yeah and now he is the PASTOR of a church!
  2. Correct. It was just a small desert town back in the 40s when Buffalo was considered a big city. Good example of how gambling can bring in the money and jobs. And I'm speaking from experience. My uncles have lived in Vegas since the 60s.
  3. Any TBD members tailgating and where?
  4. OR sit around, collect unemployment and B word about the good old days with the steel mills...
  5. Hey Genius - Las Vegas is one of the fastest growing cities in the country. Google it.
  6. Half a brain? Help ecomonmically? You gotta be kidding. Look no father than the town of Salamanca, sixty miles south of Buffalo. After the casino was built it brought jobs and money to the town. The Buffalo News ran an article called "Casino brings prosperity back to Salamanca" last month. Property values are up, population is increasing and business are looking to open nearby. The city of Buffalo doesn't like change and it will continue to die a slow death like the dinosaurs if they continue to be short-sighted.
  7. Buffalo Bills - Odds To Win Super Bowl XLI: 80-1 Let’s see, how did the Bills do this off-season? They hired failed ex-Bears boss Dick Jauron in a flat-footed surprise move, thanks to Mike Mularkey whacking himself. Marv Levy, the favorite face of the franchise, comes back to the club as the General Manager. What’s Levy’s resume as an executive, not coach? Um, there is none. Don’t ask. They re-acquired Peerless Price. Super. They signed Redskins TE Robert Royal, who set a club record with 102 drops in a season (joke, but it sure felt that way). And the QB battle is between JP Losman, Kelly Holcomb, and Craig Nall. For that, they passed on Matt Leinart in the draft, taking SS Donte Whitner and DT John McCargo. I hope it works out, because the fans in Buffalo are some of the NFL’s best. I don’t think anybody will miss overpaid guys like Sam Adams, Lawyer Milloy, and Mike Williams. Eric Moulds stings a little bit, but hey, who doesn’t want Lee Evans as your number one! Come on folks, enthusiasm, please! It’s gonna be fine. Trust ol’ Ralph Wilson. Just because he couldn’t read nor understand the language in the new CBA, doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a firm grasp on how to run an NFL team in the new millennium. At least Tom Donohoe is out. Hey, did I mention that Marv Levy is back? Did I?
  8. Yes he did. Grew up outside of Silver Creek.
  9. I want my 5 minutes back I spent reading that crap.
  10. Apparently we was well liked at the station. Some "onair talent" are neighbors and we chatted this morning. They think the new news manager is a spineless woman who did stand up for him. Now everyone is looking over their shoulders and moral is sinking faster than the Bills playoff hopes at midseason.
  11. Howard resigns last night over a mistake that wasn't his fault.
  12. Dean, Thanks for the update. I'm bummed I'll miss Steely Dan when they play in Charlotte August 12. I'll be sitting on the 50 yard line for the Bills/Panthers game instead. Oh well.
  13. Liberty Mutual. I was with Erie Insurance until I moved from NC to SC. They have higher rates in South Carolina. I've been pleased with Liberty and just renewed for another year.
  14. He has six today. Long live the Banana Slugs!
  15. Yeah don't get LABilzfan angry. He hates talking hockey on the Bills board...
  16. Or the Bills away uniforms.
  17. My nightmares are coming true... sigh
  18. Captain - I vote blue. Nice work!
  19. "Could be tough sir - Buffalo wants it bad..."
  20. PLEASE GOD LISTEN TO ME! I have suffered all my life as a loyal Buffalo sports fan. Recently you thought it would be funny to change the Bills uniforms to a more USFL look. We've sucked ever since. Now you are playing with my mind redoing the Sabres jersey. I hope you are playing with me and my friends god. Every man has a breaking point and I'm geting close to mine. Your humble redneck servant SC
  21. Agreed! I guess the only thing we can do is sign his petition online and hope for the best. But with that crack Sabres Marketing department that pushed the bloated Falsh website our way, I'm not expecting much...
  22. ""We couldn't believe what was happening," said Sam Weber, owner of Playmakers, a Raleigh sports bar. "I still don't understand it. We had a decent crowd here to watch the 1982 North Carolina vs. Georgetown NCAA Championship game on ESPN Classic when out of nowhere a lamppost comes crashing through the front window. Then these huge pasty white guys, all wearing, like, matching sweaters, run in screaming like madmen and holding this giant planter over their heads, which they demanded I fill with beer."
  23. What!!!! No warning? At least SDS hands out warnings over on the Sabres board. I got a yellow card for calling out a fellow poster. DOOOH!
  24. One of the funniest things you'll read today...
