  1. I'm not sold on Ngata. There must be an undersized (but high-motor) white guy out there who we can draft.
  2. I also think he'll be back, and they'll go 6-10 next year. Yes, I know they have been hit terribly hard by the injury bug, but Favre's decisions are poor at best. He doesn't have the mystique he once had, and I think DB's are licking their chops when they play the Pack because they know they are going to have a chance to get their hands on a lot of forced throws.
  3. I'm heading back to the main board. That sh-- sounds contagious.
  4. A decent article in todays Buffalo News that talks about the Sabres all-rookie line of Gaustad, Pominville, and Paille. They suggest that the rooks will earn another notch in their NHL belts by playing in the big rivalry game up in Toronto. Gaustad is rapidly becoming my favorite player. Git 'er done Sabes!
  5. The difference is, most NFL QB's can actually reach the endzone with a toss from midfield. KH knew he would barely make the 10 and didn't want the embarrassment.
  6. Holcomb took a sack intentionally on the last play of the 1st half near the 50 against the Bengals because he didn't want to heave a Hail Mary and have it land at the 15 yard line. He never had any intention of throwing that ball, as he started running around all scared until he curled up under the arms of a defensive lineman.
  7. Holcomb throws 2-yard passes on 4th & 7. Terrible play call to send Moulds to the flat, and an even worse decision by KH to throw it to him.
  8. Yeah, the Pats did have a few husky girls in there. I like 'em thick sometimes (read: when I'm drinking) You sure about that? They of course have their share of hotties, but as a whole, they are down in the bottom half of the NFL. Some of the Broncos girls looked sexcellent. I like pic #46, where the Chargers girl is doing a backflip, and her big fake titties aren't moving anywhere. Just two big rocks on her chest.
  9. So what does Oregon do in the Holiday Bowl against Oklahoma? Will they play their asses off to prove they should not have been locked out of the BCS? Or will they, much like Cal last year, suffer from the "NIT Effect" and lay an egg in their bowl game? (I heard a sportswriter call it the NIT Effect because the last hoops team not to make the NCAA's is usually so downtrodden that they lose their 1st round NIT game.) Big 12 looking for more respectability after Nebraska (10 point dog) upset Michigan last night...
  10. You can't go wrong with a monkey...Especially a monkey getting head! But Jessica Alba is something everyone can enjoy.
  11. Losing a game to the Pats, Fins, or Jets never makes me feel better, regardless of the draft implications. Remember when our 2-12 Bills in 2001 stormed into New Jersey and beat the 9-5 Jets while they were battling for a playoff spot? I'm sure that didn't help our draft pick, but damn, it felt good.
  12. "It will be 9/11 times 1000. That's right, 911,000." -From Team America World Police Outstanding flick. I highly recommend it.
  13. Maybe it's his third leg.
  14. JSP- you are back to posting the quality, informative threads that I have come to expect from you. I vote for no BotD hiatus in-season next year!!! No wonder why we are 5-10!!!
  15. Yeah, I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, but I had a feeling she had no chance before the interview even started. She was a referral by HR, so it was more of a courtesy interview on my part. The woman was, as expected, unpolished and had a few gaps in her employment history which she was dancing around. I gave her a solid 20 minutes and then gave her the old handshake and a "I'll have HR follow up with you." You hate to pre-judge, but she was the type of candidate I would expect to have "bitchmode" on her resume.
  16. I don't know what game in what year you are referring to, but the Bills are favored by 1 Sunday at NYJ. Jets by 4, after the Bills just beat Cincy???? No way. I don't think the Jets have been favored since Week 3.
  17. Oh come on boys, I'm smart enough to change it around a little bit. Bitchmode and a few numbers was the quickname, and the domain was yahoo or hotmail or something. But feel free to fire away to bitchmode99.
  18. I have to conduct an interview later today, so I was looking over the woman's resume in preparation. At the top, she lists her personal information- phone numbers, address, etc. Then I look at her email address. Judging by her experience and years of graduation, I would anticipate that this woman is around 35-37 years old. Wouldn't you expect that she would be smart enough to not include this: bitchmode99@yahoo.com I can't wait for this interview. Any other funny resume gaffs out there?
  19. It should be a good game, but I think USC will win because: - Texas has made a habit of losing big games in their recent history. A very gutsy win in the Rose Bowl last year may have gotten them out of their funk, but they have consistently come up short against Oklahoma recently when it really mattered. I question what Mack Brown had to do with that. Texas had Cedric Benson last year, along with many of the same players on this year's team, and they couldn't beat Oklahoma. - Recently, the Big 12 champ has been unable to compete in a BCS title game after rolling through the regular season undefeated. (2004- Oklahoma loses 55-19; 2003- Oklahoma loses 21-14, AND conference champ Kansas State loses 35-28; 2001- Nebraska loses 37-14 AND Colorado loses 38-16.) In two of those years, 2003 Oklahoma and 2001 Nebraska, those teams were undefeated going into the conference title game and were blown out, and yet still backed in to the big one. - It is a virtual home game for USC. - Pete Carroll has a month to prepare a scheme for Vince Young. He is known as a defensive coach, and brings the NFL mentality of game-plannig to take away what a team does best, and forces them to find a different way to win. Stoops looked dumbfounded last year as USC shut down both Adrian Peterson and Jason White, which didn't seem feasible before the game. - I am not sure there is any way to stop Reggie Bush. Even if you are fully committed to stopping the run, Leinart to Jarrett and Smith can be lethal. USC scores at least 38, Texas scores no more than 27. USC (-7.5) covers.
  20. Well, TD did tell us they are "high-motor guys," I would hope they are going 100%. The only thing I don't like about Schobel is that whenever a team runs to the left (our defense's right) they gash a hole and pick up at least a good 6 yards every time. I think it's because Schobel constantly tries to use the speed rush up the outside, and the tackle just rides him off. The guard seals off Anderson, the FB squares up on a LB, and it's the RB vs. Clements and Milloy in the secondary. Schobel's 12 sacks are nice, but I wonder if he could do more by mixing up his attack a little bit.
  21. It proved that Terrence McGee was a gross oversight for the Pro Bowl. I was almost thankful our defense was so bad this year, because McGee returning kicks is about as exciting as it gets.
  22. The worst win in team history was in 1988 against the New York Jets, in OT, to clinch the AFC East title. That victory spurred a decade-long string of successful Bills teams, but ultimately resulted in nothing more than four straight Super Bowl losses, and the butt-end of many jokes. Looking back on all the hardships we endured through the 90's, that win in '88 was the catalyst of all the pain. Losing is always better.
  23. I agree with the list, and I would add Josh Reed as well. He earned a job for next year. Maybe not with the Bills, but somebody will pick him up. He had his most consistent season as a receiver, and unlike Evans (JP) and Moulds (Holcomb), Reed was open and utilized by both QB's. His catch on 3rd & 7 last week when he held on after getting popped was the game-winning play.
  24. Assuming the Bills beat the Jets Sunday, and assuming Houston beats San Francisco, is there a chance of the Jets getting the #1 overall pick? There would be a logjam of teams at 3-13, and when the record is tied, the team with the lowest strength of schedule (your 13 opponents' total win percentage) pick first. The Jets are in the middle of the SOS pack right now, but playing the 5-10 Bills will help in that regard. Alternatively, the Packers play Seattle, and the Saints play the Bucs, who should boost their SOS. I don't know- it seems unlikely they'd get to #1, but I would hate to see Reggie Bush twice a year for the next 10 years.
