I believe the Sabres will start on Saturday night, assuming they have a home advantage. The playoffs start Friday, but there is a concert at HSBC on Fri night, so you'd have to assume Game 1 is Sat night. I was at the game last night, as well as last Friday's game against Philly. The team, and especially Miller, looked much sharper. Ballsy move by Lindy to play Miller last Saturday in Ottawa after a sup-par showing the night before against the Flyers. It's clear he knows who he wants the #1 to be in the postseason. The Sabres came out and absolutely dominated the first period...I don't know what the shots finished, but it was 14-3 at one point in the 1st. All the action was in the Habs end. Amazing how quick the Sabres looked after having three days off for the first time since the Olympics. Hell, one day off has been a miracle. They looked focused and fresh all game, it was good to see.

Some info from after last game- Ruff's comments sound like he's gearing Miller up for the playoffs (plus the fact that he played him Saturday night after a sub-par outing the night before):

It's hard to find out early, not sure what time Ruff usually tips his hand...I would bet $20 on Miller starting though.

I'm a Detroit Tigers fan (yeah, yeah, laugh all you want) and I got the same thing as you CajunBB. When they were building Comerica Park in Detroit and gutting out old Tiger Stadium, I managed to get my hands on four original seats from Tiger Stadium. They are down in the billiards room in my basement. Very cool.

I hate when you walk through a parking lot and you see that someone left their wipers in mid-wipe on the windshield of their parked car. I know that's a strange one, but it just doesn't look right. What really chaps my ass is when you're going out and you have to pick someone up, and they tell you to come in because they're not quite ready yet. Great game by a good player. I don't really dig his act though. UCLA getting down early forced them to press in the 2nd half, and that played right into the Gators' strength, with five guys who can handle. Props to yours truly for going against the grain (and my own initial thoughts) and taking the over 129. How the book sets the line at 129 and the game finishes at 130 is mind blowing. I will continue to ponder that as I collect!!! Thank God for that last foul by UCLA! (There was no scientific theory to the over- I was actually thinking under before the game.
