  1. A felon for the Felons No contract yet though, so maybe the Raiders still have a chance!!!
  2. Mama I'm Coming Home- The Ozzman (even though it was about his wife Sharon)
  3. I'm sure I have the same complaints as the rest of you...Too much NFL/MLB/NBA/NASCAR and not enough of the Three C's- Curling, Competetive Eating, and rooster Fighting.
  4. As bad as you out-of-towners think the announcing is for the hockey games when you don't get the Jenarette feed, this past Sunday made me realize there is something far, far worse (and you've all probably experienced one of these guys before...They are prevalent at Bills games, but hockey is much worse because it's a faster game): When you attend a game in person and the guy sitting behind you proceeds to give you the entire play by play for the entire game. Luckily, this only lasted two periods, because at the end of the 2nd, I had built up enough "Latbatt's courage" to turn around and ask him politely to tone down his commentary. It was annoying as hell!!! The guy definitely fancied himself as a hockey 'expert' because he probably plays in a Men's Rollerblade league on Wednesday nights. He mentioned 10 times how lazy Maxim is on defense and that he doesn't like him as a player, continuously pointed out Sabres turnovers, and repeatedly questioned the decisions of the Sabres players, i.e. "Why would Kalinin pass that up the boards?" and "Point! Point! Oh man, Briere's gotta pass that back to the point!" The only thing that made it worth while was situations when he would complain about Kalinin passing it up the wall, but the pass would end up jumpstarting a 2-on-1 break. I don't know how this guy's friend could stand going to the game with him. He did rein it in for the 3rd period after I said something. I really wasn't a dick about it, I said I know you're excited, but this madness has to stop. I think his buddy was thankful. Trust me, laying on the couch with a brewski listening to OLN is better than hearing some nerdy hockey hero barking in your ear all game.
  5. Sounds to me like the problem is you got your 3 yr old doing the job. Put the little tyke back in the playpen and tell the wifey to get back in the kitchen and wash the dishes!!!
  6. I went to the game, and was a little surprised when they announced Grier as the 3rd star (not that the stars mean anything anyways.) I do know that Briere had two assists, Dumont had a goal and an assist, but Grier had zero points. Being at the game (and drinking 24oz Blues) probably had me missing some of the non-flashy plays. Can anyone comment on Grier's performance? Obviously, that line as a whole played well, because Forsberg, Knuble, and especially Gagne were invisible.
  7. Leinart most certainly would've gone #1 to the Niners last year. Now he's #10 to Arizona. How much money do you think he lost? Over/Under $10 million? On the flip side, how many daddy's girls did he deflower his senior year in LA? Over/Under 26
  8. I agree with your statement, but the recent drafts don't seem to reflect that. 2000- 0 safeties taken in the 1st round 2001- 2 safeties taken in the 1st round, with Archuleta at #20 being the first to go. 2002- 2 safeties taken in the 1st round, Roy Williams at #8 and Reed at #24 2003- 1 safety taken in the 1st round, Polamalu at #16 2004- 1 safety taken in the 1st round, Sean Taylor at #5 2005- 1 safety taken in the 1st round, Thomas Davis at #14 Seems like teams look for value at this position in later rounds.
  9. There's no denying the impact a playmaking safety can have on the game. However, the two best in the NFL right now IMO, Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu, were drafted 24th and 16th overall, respectively. With Lawyer gone and Vincent on the decline, it was a need position (among others.) It definitely seems like the Bills went too high for Whitner. Too bad the Raiders effed everything up and passed on a QB to take Huff. Mark Kelso ( ) started four straight Super Bowls for the Bills. If you are going to go out on a limb for a player, why would it be a safety?
  10. The guy is an idiot: He surpassed the necessary web hits, so he invited over two of his internet buddies and had a gay threesome. Elephant walk!
  11. Not sure how you could leave out Uncle Rico taking Kip's steak off his plate and humming it at the face of an unsuspecting Napolean as he was riding his bike.
  12. I was at a Sabres-Bruins game in early March, and they typically show the two potential hits for the Carrubba Collision on the Jumbotron, and then the crowd votes via noise which one it should be. The two hits from that game were so lame, the crowd booed them both mercilessly. The "Why Guy" was on the mike, and he said, "I guess the booing was louder for #2, so we'll go with that!" The worst is, at the arena, they include sound effects like a big crash and breaking glass, and the hits were pathetic. Easily could've been included in the Miro Satan archive.
  13. He played 30 seconds of the 2nd period on Wed and left the game for good. He had a speedy heartbeat. He has a heart condition that he has dealt with before, and it even caused him to miss some games at one point with Dallas. He is aware of his condition and figures he will need surgery somewhere down the road (10, 20, 30 years.) I guess he just didn't feel right, and maybe a little scared. If this was the NFL, he would be listed (like all hockey players in the playoffs) as questionable. Sabres Notebook from today's Buffalo News.
  14. I was thinking the same thing, it's been awhile. I saw a thread with 'doobie' in the title and I had to wander over.
  15. Obviously, any contract would have to be approved by the Fins. If I were them, I'd probably let him play. They could hope that he lights it up in Canada, and then they could potentially trade him before the 2007 season. I had a feeling they were going to try to ship him this year until his recent suspension.
  16. This just sounds kinda funny. I can hear the Bears brass now. "Dropping to 41 would be fine, but 42, what are !@#$ing kidding me? Who wants to pick that late?"
  17. You should have married a taller gal!
  18. So where did this guy A. Linebacker go to school? I've never heard of him.
  19. Wow dude, ballsy pick. And you're right, this will get you laughed at. Did you run out of room in your post for the closing scene from Dirty Dancing? "Nobody puts Baby in the corner."
  20. Great call LA. You left out El Guapo's best line here though. He is watching the Amigos ride around shooting their (toy) guns in the air, and he turns to Jefe and says, "I like deez guyz. Deez are funny guyz. Just keel one of them." Hilarious.
  21. My concentration in business school was International Business...I have not started my own, but I have invested HEAVILY in some Canadian enterprises. Corporations such as Pure Platinum, Sundowner, Seductions, and Mademoiselle's are well-positioned in a niche market and deserve a look from you foreign investors out there.
  22. By the way, even if Forsberg DID score at the end of the game, would that not have been the cheesiest hat trick ever??? Goal 1: Forsberg skates down the left side, Campbell stick checks the puck away from him right to the front of the net, where it hits McKee's skate and goes in. Goal 2: Shot by Gagne rebounds behind the net, Forsberg just throws it out front off of Kalinin and Miller and in Goal 3: Empty netter with 12 seconds left I understand Forsberg made these plays happen, and luck has a lot to do with a fast game like hockey, but all this 'Forsberg took the game over' crap is rediculous.
  23. Yeah I heard that. Probably only makes things worse...You're at the game, you are into the sauce a little bit, you're Philly trash, of course you're not going to do what the PA announcer tells you to do.
  24. Word is out of SoCal that potential USC starting QB (and the nation's #1 high school recruit from 2 years ago) Mark Sanchez was arrested for suspicion of sexual assault on a female student. With Bush, Justice, and now this, things are starting to get rediculous. As a USC alum, I am embarrassed to say the program is on its way to 1990's UMiami territory. Carroll better tighten the ropes. While there's never an excuse for sexual assault, you get these 18-22 year old supreme athletes, who have had everything gift wrapped for them, and put them at a top school in a major city...Once they have success and are on a pedestal, they don't seem to take into account the repercussions of their actions. Even Bush, while I don't think him specifically did anything wrong with this house deal, he potentially put the USC football program in real jeopardy for sanctions.
