  1. Hard to believe that with incredible stats like that, this guy has zero votes! Not enough old timers on the board, apparently!
  2. Yeah, I arbitrarily left Kelly, Ferguson, and Kemp off the list...Several others probably could've been left off, but I just included all (except the three mentioned) who had over 200 career pass attempts for the Bills. Players like Reich and AVP would suggest that simply due to their longevity, they could not possibly be considered the worst of all time. The worst of all time does not stick around for nine years. Speaking of Reich, is there a cooler record to own than the greatest comebacks in both NCAA and NFL history?
  3. Well said. There's no refuting that logic.
  4. "WGR Sucks" They keep giving me Sabres updates and nobody has told me what kind of car Whitner rolled up in. Oh yeah, the Buffalo News sucks to. They only devote four daily columns to Bills training camp.
  5. They both had major mental obstacles to overcome. Collins was replacing the greatest QB the franchise has ever known. Johnson had to deal with a divided locker room and divided fan base during the Flutie debacle. I voted for Vince Ferragamo. That was in my early years of watching and actually caring about the Bills. I didn't know much, but I knew Ferragamo sucked.
  6. Since everyone loves to B word about QBs, let's annoint the worst of all time. All-time Bills passing stats (through 2004 season)
  7. Since every moe with a keyboard can start a thread saying who they think will start at QB, this moe decided to chime in! Just Play Losman!!!
  8. What does Holcomb give them a chance to do? Win 7 games? Pick up 3 yards on 4th & 8? It may appear that JP does not give them the best chance to win because of his inexperience, but this team is not going to win playoff games this year with either guy at QB. JP gives them the best chance to be relevant in the NFL in 2007 and beyond. Well, every safety in the NFL must read the Stadium Wall then, because they all seem to know Holcomb has no arm also. I'm sure Willis loves standing in the backfield looking at 3 LB's and 2 safeties all within six yards of the line of scrimmage. By the way, I'm sure you could've found 19 other threads where your extremely intelligent post would've fit just fine. But I'm glad you started a new one...
  9. That's F'ing awesome! Should be a great fall...Besides watching a ton of ball, you'll get to visit some great stadiums, campuses, and college towns...VERY JEALOUS...
  10. Oh yeah no question...But as the BCS conferences go, they certainly have the easiest path to an undefeated season. Basically, beat Louisville and Pitt and they are gravy. It is realistic that if they were one of only two undefeateds, they would play for the national title. Not to bust balls Joe, I know you were just using an example to make a point.. but Texas and OSU can't BOTH be undefeated this year- they play each other!!!
  11. Personally I like the preseason polls...It gives a starting point to reference the teams and matchups. Sometimes they are blatently wrong, but that's for the voters to sort out during the season. The breakdown is fairly well-distributed by the big conferences: SEC- 6 teams ACC- 4 teams Big 10- 4 teams Big 12- 4 teams Pac 10- 3 teams Big East- 2 teams Other- 2 teams (ND and TCU)
  12. I've been hearing a lot up here on the radio/TV that they will probably try to package Dumont with Biron in a deal. That would initially save $5 million against the cap, but Kalinin, Miller, and a backup goalie still need to be signed. Mair has his arbitration today- I don't expect that to break the bank. The problem is that most teams have already solved their goaltending needs, and nobody wants a $2.1 million backup. I think the Blues are really the only team on the market in dire need of a goalie. However, if we could get 2-3 draft picks for Marty and JP, I assume coming from St Louis the picks would be fairly high up. I'd do it. I expect Darcy to pull the trigger on a trade before 2008.... Just kidding Darcy- keep up the good work man! Golisano is making the committment and backing it up with $$$$- I love it!!!
  13. The baby looks like Tom....only taller!
  14. I've never been hunting, but some of my buddies like to slay the deer. We are always grilling up the back straps (from what I'm told, they are the filet mignon of the deer.) As simple as marinating them in some Italian dressing overnight on Saturday and grilling them up on Sunday. They are melt-in-your-mouth delicious. As for drinks, typically beers, but last year we got into the 7-and-7's quite a bit. It's always more interesting when you bring whiskey into the equation!!!
  15. You only showed the rest of the first round, picks 9-32. You have to show the 2nd round picks if we are going to pinpoint who else Marv may have taken at #8 instead of Whitner...
  16. Kelly Clarkson always seems a little dumpy, but damn she really stands out as pudgy in a lineup with all those hotties. It's no big deal, but she's just not in the same class as those other chicks. Like usual, I go with J Alba as my favorite.
  17. Not being snide, just wondering- has there ever been a 3-13 team in the history of the league where people said the 3rd-year QB "performed very well?" I voted for #5- I don't care much about the record, but playing tough every week is all I'm looking for. It would be a nice change of pace from previous years...
  18. I'm not questioning the fact that Miami will miss their top receiver and back, and I'm sure FSU is happy they can face the U without those guys. However, I'm positive Miami can insert two VERY talented players, who will have five weeks of practice with the first team. It's a bit harsh to conclude that FSU sucks if they lose this game to a top-10 caliber team, especially in Miami.
  19. I think the only true way to know the answer to this question is to wait and see who plays better when they face off in the AFC Championship game in Buffalo this January!
  20. I remember watching an XFL game and Rod "He Hate Me" Smart's team (whoever they were) was on the road playing some other schit-ass team I don't remember. All I remember about the game, and really this is probably my only lingering memory of the XFL, is the fan who brought the sign that said "WE HATE HE." I thought that was great.
  21. Well put Kelly. I have friends from college who grew up and live in Long Island/NYC, LA, and elsewhere. They have come to visit (some several times) and they LOVE Buffalo. I think what makes Buffalo is the fact that the girls all seem to party pretty hard, at least as the going out and drinking goes. And in the summer, they are dressed all scandalous because they only have 3 months to wear all of their skimpy hootchie gear. You can find any city in the world where the dudes go out heavy and get mashed, but the ladies can throw them back in the B-Lo. Several of my friends from out of town have had to tap out after two straight nights of raging in Buffalo...They said they couldn't handle a third...That's when you mention that the nudies and casinos in Niagara Falls, ON are only 20 minutes away, and suddenly they are feeling lively again!!!
  22. I was there this past weekend for the Jim Dandy stakes, I'll be there this weekend for the Whitney, and then again at the end of the month for the Travers. Words cannot express how much I love Saratoga in August. If you are even a minor fan of horse racing, there is no better place in the world.
  23. Whoops. Make that 18 of the most athletic players Miami is already in mid-season form. Aren't you supposed to wait until the week before your Bowl game to break team rules?
  24. Are these skanks all standing on a slanted floor in their individual photos?
