FBI Issues Alert for 11 Missing Egyptian Men
smokinandjokin replied to Tux of Borg's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Maybe if this guy wasn't bouncing around the country giving reports on NFL training camps, the Security Committee wouldn't have these drastic oversights. -
Did I hear a "niner" in there?

Jay Cutler Seems To Be Lighting It Up
smokinandjokin replied to Buffalo Baumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They have as many QB questions as the Bills do. Daunte WAS a Pro Bowl QB when he had the greatest deep ball threat in NFL history to throw to. Last year, without Moss, he looked very similar to Losman. His team was struggling badly and losing like crazy, and then he tore three ligaments and some cartiledge in his knee. That same team proceeded to win like crazy with Brad Johnson. I agree, DC is a step up from Jay Fiedler, AJ Feely, and Sage Rosenfels. But I'm not sure he's the rock-solid foundation you think he is. You must've heard that he's making good reads in camp. -

You might as well delete that retarded post. They've signed EVERYONE so far, with Tommy G's blessing.....

This is a HUGE misconception. The core of this team is very much intact. Nothing has been dismantled. You're telling me they're really going to miss Grier and Pyatt??? Come on. Adam Mair will do both of their jobs ten-fold. Granted, McKee would've been nice to keep, but sorry, not at that price. Good for him, it was his last big contract, and now he's set for life. I'm just glad it's not counting against our cap. Dumont would be nice to keep, too...But again, with the glut of forwards on this team, he is expendable. If the contract doesn't fit our needs, bye bye. Who else have they lost in this dismantling you speak of???

I would've thought it smart for the Sabres to accept the award and then try to trade him alone or bundle him with others in a trade. They may not have gotten a good feel for the market demand for Dumont, because no teams wanted to offer anything when there's a decent chance the Sabres wouldn't accept. If they accepted, it would force other teams to make an offer. However, I can definitely understand the Sabres declining Dumont's salary. The team's payroll is already higher than I'm sure they anticipated, and Darcy is already saddled with one contract that he doesn't want (Biron) and one that was much larger than they hoped (Briere.) It will be interesting to see what JP signs for on the open market. Even if the Sabres accepted and then got 'ripped off' in a trade by sending him somewhere else for a 4th round draft pick, that would've been better than letting him walk and receiving nothing in return. Like I said, with the payroll where it is, I can understand the apprehension of taking on a salary they feel is too large, even if they had every intention of moving him.

ESPN and more of their ridiculous stats

I can think of a friend of mine who would rank very low in the Bad Decision Percentage if it measured going out and hooking up with nasty chicks. Bad decisions by my friend are based on 4 things: 1. Alcohol intake 2. Staring at any visible cleavage (even if she's fat) 3. Making out in the bar 4. Alcohol intake -
No biggie. The girl would be smoking either way...Granted, mom doesn't need to bum her one and light it up for her, but it would be worse to be hypocritical about it and tell the kid how bad smoking is as mom puffs away. It's 2006- they know what they're doing to themselves. Personal choice.... Aren't there situations where a minor can drink alcohol if accompanied/approved by a parent? Is it only in the home? Not sure....

Holy christ! The #11 overall pick has been elevated to backup over 7th rounder Bradlee Van Pelt and undrafted Preston Parsons? He must be lights out. You jumped in before me Kelly the Dog... -
Who's hot / who's not in '06 I can't wait for this action:

Why would they ask him questions like this when we have yet to determine if topless Brett Favre still has his tractor and red hat?

Who is the worst Bills QB of all-time?
smokinandjokin replied to smokinandjokin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It looks like we could be close to annointing the worst QB in Bills history. I would be slightly surprised if Toad Collins won out. He was in a tough spot replacing Jimbo, and didn't everyone more or less know from the start that he didn't quite have 'it?' I never had much hope for the guy. Anyways, it's not surprising that two of the more recent QBs earned most of the votes. It is the nature with any Internet poll- the young demographic dominates. I'm sure Paul Pierce would garner many more votes than he should if a poll asked about the greatest Celtics scorer ever. Short attention span and shorter memories... I am 27 years old, so obviously I didn't see many of these QBs play. Thanks to some of the vets for enlightening me on some Bills history. Keep the stories of Hall of Shame performances coming. It seems like Marangi and Darragh got most of the votes from those who saw them play. I voted for Vince Ferragamo. I was 7 years old in the fall of '85 and I distinctly remember how bad Ferragamo was. The funny thing is, I don't really remember Mathison much at all. But if you added the two 1985 QB's together, they would have 45 votes, one more than Toad's 44. Is it safe to assume that the two-headed QB monster of 1985 could be considered the worst quarterbacking options in team history? In other words, if they weren't dividing the votes amongst each other, and one of them played the full season, would that guy be the worst ever??? -

So....you're into bad boys huh? I'm single and a little lonely, and I'm definitely willing to relocate. I enjoy the outdoors, long walks in the woods (sometimes overnight), and I'm very handy. I try to stay as low-key as possible. Give me a call if interested- Regards, Bucky Phillips -

Not at his salary. He was not making 'situational' money.

Yep. That was the guy TD targeted at 12:05am of the free agent signing period. It's hard to say he underperformed in Buffalo because I never watched/noticed him play before he got here. I know he would've liked to rush the QB more- BUT, some guys find their way to the ball and make plays. Posey seemed to wait for the system to put him in position to make plays, and blamed the system when he wasn't perceived as being active.

Who is the worst Bills QB of all-time?
smokinandjokin replied to smokinandjokin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I set the number at a minimum of 200 attempts in a Bills uniform. Dufek had 150. I should've included this originally, I'll edit and add to my first post. All-time Bills passing stats (through '04 season)
