  1. It was the Saint's 2nd play of the game. All of Tennessee's starters were in. Bush will break one of those a game. Say all you want about the speed of the NFL, Bush is still faster than everyone on the field. There were five NFL linemen, LBs, and safeties that Bush simply beat to the outside and ran past. I'm not disputing the question marks of him running inside, but you can't deny him in the open field. I don't understand why so many people are ready to dog him. The dude is as exciting as it gets. I think Vince has many more question marks than Reggie.
  2. Good point. She also lists Mexican, which can only mean tacos.... Victoria looks pretty good... I picked Brandi because she has that WNBA face and Misty because her quote was " To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides." Both sides, that either means front door/back door or maybe a little bisexual experimentation...
  3. Don't let it happen again.
  4. So which two Panthers cheerleaders will we find lezzing it up in a bathroom stall this year? I vote for Brandi and Misty. 2006 TopCats roster
  5. That's funny you say that, Darcy just made this quote in the Buffalo News: That 'Sabre dollars' quote cracked me up. They definitely tried to have their own little independent financial world...similar to Moneyball.
  6. Rewards aggresiveness and risk taking. Par is zero points. Stableford scoring system
  7. Why does having cancer even matter? He walked their best player to pitch to their worst player. Forget the cancer part of it. If the kid has a uniform on, he's on the team. If he sucks at baseball, tough titties.
  8. When the NHL was locked out, it was well publicized that Darcy, Lindy, and all of the Sabres scouts watched thousands of hours of video. They became extremely familiar with every single NHL player on every single team. They put together a grading system that essentially ranked every single NHL player. The Numminen signing stemmed from these video sessions- they said the guy never made a mistake. Perhaps that experience led them to the conclusion that they can be very successful in scouting players via video. Given their offseason spending, I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they really believe this system works, and it's not just the organization being frugal and minimizing scout's salaries, travel, etc. Another point is that it's easy to collect video footage of NHL players and NHL games. I would imagine the availability and quality of video drops when you are talking about Juniors and European/Russian leagues.
  9. Somebody should've taken a flagrant foul on the autistic kid in Rochester once he caught fire from 3-land. "Nobody runs it up on us, B word!"
  10. Bottom line: Middle of June in the regular season, you pitch to young Pujols and try to get him out. Middle of August in the championship game, with two outs and the tying run on third in the last inning, you walk young Pujols if there's a better chance for an out with the next batter. Both teams played long seasons, and probably won a lot of games to make it to the finals. Every player got to hit many, many times over the course of the season. Both teams were playing to win in the finals...Hence the reason the Yankees walked young Pujols to pitch to young Lance Armstrong, and hence the reason Lance's parents and all the Red Sox coaches were mad about it. They all wanted to win.
  11. I agree KRC...I beat you to it a few posts above^^^ The coach had to expect that might possibly happen.
  12. I think the fact that he's a cancer survivor is clouding judgement here. Forget the cancer part of it. Why does the coach of the losing team have his worst player batting behind his best player??? Why would you not walk the big dog in that situation? Why pitch to the kid who's 4-4 when the tying run is on third when you can pitch to the kid who's 0-3? I understand it's a young league designed around fun, but that's the championship game. I'm sure they had a lot of fun all summer in the previous 15 games. I'm sure the cancer kid got plenty of chances to take some good cuts. But in the last inning of the finals, you are trying to win. Period. If the coach penciled the cancer kid in the fourth spot in the lineup to make him feel good, he should be prepared to watch him strike out in a big spot. In the end, the pitcher should have just thrown four sh*tty pitches to the stud hitter and "unintentionally" walked him. Then there wouldn't be the big hubbub.
  13. A young and explosive Eric Moulds on an 82-yd catch and run. Was that really eight years ago??? Where has the time gone? Good lookin out Lori...This will be something to watch. Colbert lit it up as a rook in '04 but regressed last year. Carter wasn't even active until week 13 last year, but he made the most of his time. And like you said, I will be interested in watching Fowler at C for the Bills. Overall, great preview, but with one glaring omission: We need some preseason TopCats info!!! Where will the lesbo action go down (pun intended!) this year???
  14. And boy are your arms tired? [Tomatoes] Boooooo!!! Hiss!!!!! [/Tomatoes]
  15. The voting logic is definitely !@#$, you'll find nobody who disputes that. I guess the only applicable logic would be that the team who lost early is now peaking, while the team who lost last week is showing cracks in the armour. Another explanation could be that the team that lost early on had a young ___________ (insert player here) who is now playing like a savvy veteran rather then the scared freshman he was ten games ago. I agree, all b.s. and they should be ranked on their full body of work. But if it does result in some solid week 1 & 2 matchups, I'm all for it. I know Miami can beat Ball State 73-7...I don't need to see that crap.
  16. I am a JP guy and I will be one pissed off season ticket holder if I have to watch Holcomb lob the ball around eight times this year. But I have no problem with the camp competition. Give both a real good look and play the one that is honestly better. I think we've all seen Holcomb play...If JP can't beat him out then that sets us back. I place no stock in who starts the preseason game, I just hope it's Losman under center come Sept. 10. Besides, JP got starter's reps last year in camp and that didn't seem to help much...Maybe watching Holcomb run the same play right after he runs it will help JP go through his progressions and pick up the parts of the game where Holcomb excels.
  17. I agree, much different in the NFL. I think he can be very comparable to Cadillac Williams. Same division in the NFL, and Cadillac had questions coming out of college about his size and ability to handle a full workload, since he split time with Ronnie Brown at Auburn. Cadillac proved he was a difference maker, but also proved it's much harder to stay healthy when getting popped by 245lbs of angry muscle 25 times a game. No doubt, some LBs will want to knock Reggie's head off. But they are also going to have to attempt to cover him on pass patterns and tackle him in the open field, which I really don't see one guy doing.
  18. Seriously, I don't really think that he has any weaknesses. Can you name any? Certainly his speed, vision, creativity, cutback ability, and pass catching are not weaknesses. He was very good at picking up the blitz in college, coaches say much better than the bigger LenDale White. He rarely fumbled in college (except fo the occasional untimely lateral.) I would say he definitely has some question marks, such as size, and the ability to take an NFL pounding 25 times a game. I would say the only weakness will be with Houston Texans ticket sales when they realize what they left on the table. I think he's going to be a game-changer. Knowing what you know now, wouldn't you draft Marshall Faulk or LaDanian Tomlinson #1 if you had the opportunity? Oh yeah, the Texans already have Dominick Davis
  19. Not good is right...Damn that would be annoying...I know many very cool Southern gals, but that right there is down home Louisiana trash. She CAN be super hot, and she IS super rich, but I'm not sure how long I could listen to that diarrhea flying out of her mouth. "Huh?"
  20. No doubt #58!!! Mike Stratton baby! This should make your decision easy The hit heard 'round the world!!!
  21. I also love 'hangetitten.' Droopy breasts!
  22. Arschficker! Doesn't take long to guess what that one means!
  23. If the Bangles taught us anything, these guys should be pretty easy to find...
  24. Strength of schedule is one by-product of the BCS computer rankings that actually helped the sport. You could also argue that the BCS has had a hand in teams scheduling some tough non-conference games early on. The schools have noticed that you can go 11-1, but that one loss is viewed drastically differently by the voters when it is the 2nd game of the season rather than the 11th game of the season. A one-loss team that lost early and then ran off 9 or 10 straight wins can find itself back in the national title picture, while a team that starts 9-0 and then loses late is typically left for dead by the voters. In the end, I could be wrong, the BCS may have nothing to do with it. It may just be coaches wanting their teams to be battle tested before conference play starts. And I'm sure the money the schools bring in from marquee matchups has a big effect as well. Anyways, whatever the reasoning, I agree Bart it has made for some great matchups early in the season. Ohio State is a real good example of this. The Texas game last year was great, and it should be another good one this year. In 2008 and 2009, they will play a home-and-home with USC in Week 2 of each season. Hopefully other schools follow suit!
  25. Borat typically pokes much more fun at Americans then he does at Kazakhs. And besides, Sacha Baron Cohen (Ali G) is British, so if the Kazakhs do get mad, they can direct their anger at the U.K. Anyways, I can't wait for this movie, it is going to be f'ing hilarious! I laughed HARD four or five different times during the one-minute trailer.
