A winnable game the Bills will lose: At Kansas City. No Bills team has ever played well in that stadium. (can't we get one home game vs. those bastards?)

The real joke is the excuse they give for not having an 8-team playoff: Our student-athletes need time to prepare for finals. Every other division (where kids actually have to go to class) have a playoff...That is just a lame excuse for the NCAA execs defending the Bowl money they collect.

I think Fresno State is going to be a tough team this year...#24 in both polls. I am a grad of USC, and I will be heading out west to check out the USC-Fresno St. game on Sat. 11/19, and then driving down to S.D. on Sun 11/20 for Bills-Chargers. What a weekend! Fresno St. could be a dangerous game for USC though. Pete Carroll didn't have to take the game, but he said he admired how Fresno took a "We'll play anybody, anywhere" attitude. So he scheduled them. However, the game is a week after USC plays at Cal, so they will no doubt be bruised. And the following game is the Rose Bowl rivalry against UCLA. Fresno is the textbook let-down game. Not to mention, Fresno St. has a bunch of California kids who probably were not recruited by USC, so you know they want to roll into LA and do the business.

True, I forgot they had Buchanon on the other side. Didn't he have a game-clinching pick against Bledsoe in a high scoring game at the Ralph in '02 against the Raiders? Anyways, on plays where a safety blitzes, the other safety will have to shade to one side...In such a situation, I would probably play Robinson on Evans, and have Buchanon on Moulds with a look from the safety.

Dunta Robinson, last year's 10th overall pick out of South Carolina, had a nasty rookie year. He became a star as the season went on: So, if you're Dom Capers, who do you want Robinson to lock down? Assuming they're planning on blitzing and the corners will be in a decent amount of one-on-one, do you use DR on Moulds or on Evans? If I coach, I say Moulds...Evans has the top gear, but it seems that Moulds is always the key to the other receivers getting open. But, while not as fast, EM may also be harder to cover man-to-man...Any thoughts?

The Bills D starting blitzing JP right after the draft in the minicamps. I know, I know, practice is not the same- the point I'm making is that MM and TC know that teams will be coming after him. Obviously the Texans aren't keeping it a secret either. It doesn't take many nice gains to make a D question their blitz schemes. If JP can read it and make them pay for it, and if Willis runs well, the Bills will be on their way.

He was pathetic returning punts last night. This guy was believing his own hype. He looked real tenative and didn't even want to catch them. There was a few he could've easily fair-caught on the 15, and he let them bounce, and FL State downed them inside the 5. Plus, he had one muff overturned by replay and recovered his own fumble on another. I remember him from last year and I know he has game, but man, he was out of it last night.

Drew Haddad is a training camp hero who played pretty well against a bunch of other guys who got cut by their teams. It was a local boy feel-good story that the media kept pumping at us. I think Josh Reed will be very adequate in Weeks 1 & 2, and then Roscoe takes over.

Good job Ramius. I posted something very similar a little while back, but the calls for Holcomb continue... He is a career Captain Clipboard with a monster playoff game that everyone cites as how awesome he is (Browns lost that game BTW). There's a reason he came to Buffalo as a backup and isn't starting for another team right now. I think either JPL or KH, with the Bills supporting cast, could go 7-9, 8-8, or 9-7 this season. It's not really the QB who will get the job done this year. So we might as well have JP in there. Otherwise it will be Summer 2006 and we will still have an inexperienced QB. I like him as an insurance policy, but yanking a healthy JP to start the Kelly Holcomb era will be disastrous.

Last week I bought a minipack of 5 games for the upcoming Sabres season. I figured if I was only going to five, I wanted to see good games, so I got three "Gold" games, one "Silver," and one "Bronze". The teams are Bruins, Canadiens, Flyers, and two Leafs games. The 200 level are the most expensive seats, and they have the 100's and 300's broken down into three different price ranges. I bought two tix for the five games noted above in the best 300-level seating. The total- $470. If I wanted the 200-level, those five games would have been $976. DAMN!!!! Sure makes the Bills season tix prices look fantastic. At least you know the team will show up and play hard because every game means so much. With hockey, you never know when you'll see the "We'll get 'em tomorrow" attitude. And speaking of value- Bisons playoff game Friday night! Go future Tribe!
