Amazing item on conserving fuel
smokinandjokin replied to spidey's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Yawn. Might as well make this your signature and just hit enter every time because it's all you ever write. -
Opening line is Michigan (-3.5) That's a little strange, considering: PSU is AP #8, UM is unranked, and two teams, Notre Dame and Minnesota (who Penn St. crushed) have already won in the Big House this year. The 6-4 loss to Iowa last year looks a long way off now...

This reminds me: I saw a comedian out in L.A. when the Kobe Bryant trial was going on. He said this: "Everyone out here is talking about the Kobe Bryant rape trial. 'Do you think he would do that? Is she just setting him up? She just wants his money...' Well, I'm sick of it. I'm sick of everyone talking about it. You are all just speculating, you don't know what really happened. So let's just drop it. He is innocent until the proven guilty, so stop the speculation. I mean, really, the only people who know what happened in the hotel room that night are Kobe Bryant and that girl that he raped."

Yessir. I'm glad the Bills won, but I can be skeptical. I know what I was watching. I was EXTREMELY happy with the victory, but I was pretty disappointed with the way the Bills played. I saw a very, very average team hang on at home to beat another average team that deserved to be blown out. The victory= I feel great The team= Not so much
-
They even had him in motion on one play. I think throwing the pass to him is another example of the Bills (TC/MM) trying to be too cute, instead of hammering away with McGahee.
-
He was moving pretty good, considering he had one arm in the air and one arm holding up his pants. Unfortunately the $50 his buddies bet him won't get him close to the $900 fine for running on the field.

Both teams are average at best. Miami's turnovers killed them. The penalities were bad; two on third downs that kept the second touchdown drive going were the real bad ones. And what's with the long snapper on punts? He three-hopped the one that gave it to the Bills around midfield. The real disappointing part of the game is the Bills playing "not to lose" in the second half. They were so cautious it was pathetic, and it almost cost them the game. I used to make so much fun of the dink'n'dunk teams; now I fear the Bills are among the worst culprits in the NFL when it comes to the short pass routes. Holcomb completed 19 passes for 120 yards when you take out Evans' 49 yard catch-and-run on a short slant. The 3-yard routes were painful to watch. Is it because they fear the line cannot hold off the rush to get receivers downfield? I'm not saying to air it out at all costs, but one or two bombs per game are worth an attempt. At least Ferrotte took some shots downfield. Thankfully they called Brown's fumble on the field; I think the replay was so close, they had to go with the call on the field. But the Bills got the win, and that's all I care about. Always nice to beat Miami, no matter what the circumstances. Our upward climb towards average continues.

I saw someone wearing a t-shirt that said "Aruba: 143 out of 144 high school students approve!" Ouch.

Why does Hideki Matsui squint during night games? -
I would have gone with a Jessica, but it would have been Alba. No idea either about Gong Li.

LAMP: I ripped one in a meeting at work

Anytime Ghost. What else am I gonna do? Work? -
I was playing cards last night until about 1am with a group of people. Obviously, we were grilling some food and drinking plenty of beers. I did not feel all that "with it" when I woke up for work this morning. But I toughed it out and made it in...I mean, when are you not a little hungover for work on Friday, right? So anyways, I was sitting at my desk in my office, and I let a little squeaker go that absolutely smelled horrible. I was the only one there and even I was horrified. It was a devilish mix of some grilled shrimp, steak, and Labatts Blue. I had to take a walk just to let it clear out a bit. Of course, I have a meeting today from 10am-Noon. It is a year-end planning meeting, and there were about 12 people in there (including 3 women) and everyone is sitting at a big conference table. The guy running the meeting was sitting at the head of the table. He had a laptop in front of him and was taking the group through a powerpoint presentation which was projected onto a big screen on the wall. So there I am, about an hour into this thing, and I could have farted about 15 times. But I held it in because I knew the smell would dominate everybody in these close quarters. But finally, I guess I either gave up, or I just wanted to see what everyone would do when the powerful odor made its presence felt. So I let a nice one go, silent but most certainly deadly. About 7 seconds after I let fly, I could smell it. It was the same, if not worse, than the one in my office. Absolutely horrible. I just sat there following along with the presentation like nothing happened. I noticed some people start moving in their chairs a little bit. I heard a few sniffles. I saw some people looking at each other with the "What is that?" face. Then, the guy talking through the presentation just stopped and said, "Oh my God, who did THAT?" The whole room burst out laughing, and everyone was just looking and pointing at each other. I was sitting there, laughing like everyone else, saying it was disgusting, but of course not fessing up to it. I even saw one guy trying to pin it on one of the ladies. I was dying. The guy who was running the meeting just got up, shook his head, opened the door for some air, and then sat back down and got on with the presentation. I did not have the stones to cut another one loose; besides, I got my chuckle for the day. Oh man, the weekend cannot come soon enough...

If you jokers don't beat them this year, you may never beat them again. Your boys may want to consider tackling Peterson this year.

I don't see crushed confidence as a problem for JP. This is what worries me: Will JP get jealous if he sees his offseason fling, Sam Wyche, whispering sweet nothings into Holcomb's ear?

A bright spot for UB athletics

YES!!! I did hear that on the radio. That's hilarious. Do you think Uncle Rico will try to throw a football over them mountains? -
UB's Mens Soccer team is 10-1 on the year and ranked #20 in the country. Not bad for a school that has not had too much success in the athletics department, especially with the Fall sports. They have a huge game tonight at home against the #2 team in the country, University of Akron (10-0). Supposedly Akron is the highest ranked team to ever play in WNY. Too bad the weather is so sh!tty. Git er done Bulls!

It's taking a wiz on us up here in B-lo also...

I'm getting real sick and tired of hearing that I don't support the team because I disagree with a roster move. I would rather be passionate and have an opinion on the best course of action the Bills should take, rather than shake my pompoms and yell "Hooray" for every single move they make. If anyone out there plans on posting a new topic about why I am a bad fan and Kelly Holcomb should be my new favorite player, save your time. On Sunday I want the team to win at all costs, no matter what. But I don't have to blindly follow the company line and support every move they make. That's what being a good fan is: You care what happens to your team.

How come recording artists release more albums when they are dead than when they are alive?
