Buffalo Getting Old, Besides Being Bad.
smokinandjokin replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Now, they all move to Boca Raton, buy Cadillacs, drive real slow, eat dinner at 3pm, B word about politics, watch Jeopardy, and in bed by 8pm. -
We need to get our cheap shots in now- it may be a little somber in here on Monday.... I guess I'll begin: When Brady heard Bruschi had a stroke, he showed up at Tedy's house with a boner and some lotion.

Are they from the same village as Shaquille O'Neal? Are you willing to wager on Buffalo at +8.5? I must say, you are the first. I'd go first-born child on the Pats. -
Well, one guy listed a positive... http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=33873 The positive is that everyone expects us to lose by 25

I think Brownie could be a nice fit.... -
It's a decent drive...make sure you get some road head.

Good point plenz. I think a team with character would have beaten a 1-4 Oakland team last week to give the franchise sole possession of 1st place in the division for the first time in 9 years. If they think losing builds character, I'm sure they will be chock full of it on Monday.

Yawn. I will support them till the day I die. I want them to win badly this Sunday. I suppose just because they don't have a good team, and their track record suggests they will get blown out, I will forget all that and predict a 37-3 Bills victory so tards like you don't question my loyalty. Pats by 10+. Leadpipe lock. Go Bills.

Change the game to Ralph Wilson Stadium... Even that doesn't guarantee a win. When it comes to the Bills, I am as optimistic as anybody. But I don't see them being close in this game. Bills lose by 10 or more. Say all you want about the Patriots being down, they are still a lot better than we are.

Which Personnel move most defines 2005?
smokinandjokin replied to AKC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The question is "defines 2005 season" so I went with the QB. The JP experience has gone like this: Offseason hype, preseason and week 1 excitement and anticipation, underperformance, abandon plan. That pretty much defines the entire team's season thus far. Offseason hype (D and ST will carry us to playoffs,) excitement and anticipation (D shut Houston down, JP managed the offense well,) underperformance (D makes every RB look like Walter Payton, JP implodes,) abandon plan (the Kelly Holcomb era, give McGahee the ball 15 times). -
Say Goodbye to Fisher DeBerry
smokinandjokin replied to plenzmd1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I understand you cannot say such things as a NCAA coach, especially at a prestigious military academy, but he is right. I hate when there is a big hubbub about these things, and sports anchors nation-wide get on the high horse and say these remarks are insensitive, racist, etc... When is the last time UMiami had a white guy returning punts? How many white sprinters did the USA send to the last Olympics? Black dudes, overall in an athletic arena, are faster than most whiteys. Everyone knows it, but when someone actually says it, people act like it is breaking news. DeBerry doesn't need to answer to the media or to the black community. He needs to answer to the white players on his team who, as he indirectly said, he wishes were black. -

Sunday at 8:30pm? -
I know the BCS has flaws, but it's hard to say it will fail this year. Everybody's clear-cut top 2 teams (should Texas and SoCal run the table) will play each other for the title. That's what the system was set up to do. I understand Virginia Tech's beef, and Georgia or Alabama, should they go undefeated. But in my opinion, Texas and USC are a class above those teams. I know I said it earlier, but based on where we were pre-BCS, this is better. USC would play a Big Ten pretender in the Rose Bowl, Texas would play Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl, and Virginia Tech would play Georgia in the Orange Bowl. At least the BCS pairs two of those teams up. The fatal flaw was two years ago, when USC was #1 in the AP and Coaches Polls, but #3 in the BCS. I would prefer a playoff, as I know everyone else would. But the current system makes every game a playoff game. Texas at Ohio St. wasn't a playoff-type game? USC at ND? Same thing. The losers of those games are on the outside looking in. The argument, since every game is a playoff game, is what happens when more than two teams win them all? That's the tricky part. I think a semifinal and final would answer most of the questions. If you are ranked 5th and left out, you probably have one loss. So the answer is the same as it's always been- you can't lose. The positive effect of the current BCS is better non-conference games. I don't see Texas and Ohio State agreeing to play if strength of schedule was not factored in. Hopefully other major programs will think this way also. Going undefeated while beating Louisiana-Monroe 58-6 doesn't help you much when the other teams are playing the big boys. Coaches have to decide if going undefeated while playing a Top 10 non-conference game is worth the risk of losing that game and having that one loss burn you. Hmmmm...but in a playoff system, one loss DOES burn you...

I am usually pretty good with my Halloween costumes. I try to take somebody in current events and dress up like them. The pinnacle was two years ago, when Roy Horn got mauled by the tiger. I had a gay-ass white jumpsuit on, a sparkley gold vest, and I bought a little stuffed white tiger. I stapled the tiger to my collar, and had a big gash on my neck and fake blood on my shirt. Everyone loved it, except for one girl who called me the "most classless person she has ever seen." I mean hey, come on, it's not like the guy died! That same year, in July, Kobe was accused of rape. My friend (a black kid) went out on Halloween with a full Lakers Kobe Bryant uniform, with the shorts, high tops, everything. His girlfriend (a blond white girl) wore a khaki skirt and white button down shirt, with a nametag from the Cordillera resort (or whatever it was called.) We had a crew of about 12 friends out in the bars, but people were appalled when they saw Kobe walk in holding hands with his accuser, followed by Roy Horn with a bloody tiger on his neck. It was hilarious. And one of my friends was Bartman from the Cubs game...He looked just like him with the turtleneck, sweatshirt, Cubs hat, and headphones on...It was nice. So, that brings me to this year...I have to go to a party on Saturday, and I don't know what to do...Anybody have any good suggestions?

Interesting Radio Question Yesterday

Yes you are. I've only ever played with 6. Next week looks like the same scenario...Baltimore at Pittsburgh (-8.5) on Monday night without Ray Lewis or Ed Reed...Very similar to Atl-NYJ game... -

Nicely done! How'd you get the Falcons as a Pick'em? I assume your tease was sliding 6 points? I had them at -8, and my buddy had it at -8.5. As a USC grad, it has pained me to do it, but I have been riding UCLA this year. They are covering machines. They are doing for me this year what the Chargers did for me last year. Ride her till she bucks ya.... -
Our record by seasons end
smokinandjokin replied to Bowl Winner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills will be 5-11 unfortunately. The team has no identity. They say they are a power running team, but they don't back it up. The Oline will never maul a team into submission. The passing game is disgusting to watch. AKC must be going nuts watching all of the short passes. The defense is pathetic. It's easy to be #1 in passing yards against when teams are racking up 6 yards a carry on the ground. They don't have to throw for a first down. McGee on special teams is about the only thing worth watching. vs. Oakland at Carolina at Pittsburgh vs. San Diego at Atlanta at Denver I am almost certain the Bills would be 0-6, but at best 1-5 with this schedule. The Pats are going to lay the beat down on us Sunday, I'm sorry to say. New England is only considered "down" this year because they were so high "up" over the past two. With all of their personnel losses (coaches and players), and with that brutal schedule, I think 3-3 means the Pats are still pretty damn good. -
I heard this today and I have never heard it before; I was always under the impression that RP was sitting in the front of the bus and refused to move. I heard today that she was actually sitting in the back in the "black" section, but as the bus started filling up, a whitey wanted her seat. That's when she refused to give up her spot, and the bus driver wouldn't move until she did, and so she got arrested. Good for her. RIP RP

Interesting Radio Question Yesterday

Greatest inventions ever: 1. Electricity 2. Remote control 3. The point spread Was anybody else heavy on Atl (-8) last night? I know I was cursing at Vick and chitting my pants when the Jets were driving to make it 27-21. Vinny's injury almost ruined a sure thing. BTW, great topic...I don't have any answers but I will be paying attention- I am interested in this also...
