  1. I don't know who any of those guys are. Any O-linemen in that bunch?
  2. That sucked!!! Big Ben obviously got dinged up and he was not himself for most of the night. Just a little off. For some reason Pittsburgh's blitzers were not getting to the QB. They looked like a Jerry Gray defense. The old theory: When something looks extremely obvious, go the other way...But 4 points, COME ON!!! Right back at 'em this weekend
  3. That was great when he was carrying 6 Bills and Coy Wire finally brought him down.
  4. I remember constantly thinking about McGahee's injury every time he ran last year. It didn't help that he stayed down quasi-injured after he got tackled. It is not even a blip of a thought this year. He seems fully recovered. Even with all the b.s. last night over Bruschi, I think most fans are glad he's okay. It doesn't necessarily seem safe to resume playing when you are talking about heart and brain issues, but I'm no doctor. If he wants to play, I hope he reamains healthy. Any comeback for any player is a good one.
  5. I bet you are sitting in front of a computer as you read this...
  6. He can't post as BradRiter when he is typing compliments to himself logged in as McGee and McGahee.
  7. All of that with other coaches players. The guys TW recruited are juniors/seniors now. I don't anticipate Weis having any trouble recruiting players to ND, especially to play in his "pro" offense. But he's doing pretty well with guys Ty recruited. I don't think they are as successful this year if Willingham stayed; I'm just throwing those "Devil's Advocate" points out there. I agree with your post. To think they fired Ty for Urban Meyer. They really landed ass-backwards into Charlie Weis.
  8. Sorry buddy. I listen to tunes in the car. I contribute and read idiotic statements here, I don't need to listen to them on the radio also. Now get back down there, I don't think Brad is finished off yet.
  9. Is this thread a replay of last night? BradRiter is Tedy Bruschi and McGee and McGahee is the ESPN commenators, blowing Bruschi at every opportunity?
  10. I didn't know he was married, but now I hate his wife. ESPN made it clear early and often that Bruschi was above the game last night.
  11. Exactly. That's all I'm saying. That's great they wanted to use Moulds as a decoy, but the bottom line is he is still out there as a receiver. Why not use him as a decoy on a 10-yard route, so that should something tragic happen where you are forced to throw to your #1 receiver, at least he is in a position to pick up the first down.
  12. Campy, you're missing everyone's point, man. Why did Clements have to call the pass play that utilizes Moulds as a 2-yard safety outlet? I can't speak for everyone, but I wasn't blaming Holcomb. If he really thought that's all that was open, he's got to hit him. He's clearly not a scrambler, and a sack is a big no-no in that situation. So if that's it, Moulds was the final option, than give it to him. Don't tell me Clements didn't call the play. Perhaps it's not designed to go to Moulds, but the fact is, there is the option to go to Moulds. Why not call another play/formation where Moulds runs a route that is at least five yards downfield? He didn't have any trouble getting open for his other catches. Take out the 55-yarder and the two-yarder, and Moulds still caught 7 passes for 68 yards (9.7 avg.) You're a little sensitive about Holcomb pal. It would have been great on 3rd and 7 for him to go through his progressions and dump it off. But to lob it out for 2 yards on 4th down makes me wonder what he's been watching in his 10 NFL seasons. Throw it to Roscoe and get picked, and we are not having this conversation. I guarantee nobody would have said "Well, Moulds was open on the left side at the line of scrimmage."
  13. Texas could start to feel the pinch. On the schedule, USC still has (AP rankings) (21) Fresno St, (23) California, and (7) UCLA. Virginia Tech has (5) Miami plus the ACC title game, presumably against (9) Florida State. Texas has only (25) Colorado (or somebody worse) in the Big 12 title game. If all three win out, based on strength of schedule, VT could make a play at Texas' #2 spot.
  14. All of the new designs for the Peace Bridge include Tedy Bruschi laying across the Niagara River, single handedly providing international travel and commerce.
  15. That's not a Jane's Addiction cover band, is it?
  16. The hole in his heart was not surgically repaired. It was filled with man-love from Mike Patrick, Paul Maguire, and Joe Theismann.
  17. I was the same way as you Kelly. There were a few 3rd and 3s where I would have left McGahee in, but I can't complain about Shaud's performance yesterday. He did have a few nice 1st down pickups on screens and draws. He and Willis complement each other well, and they seem to like each other, which helps.
  18. Nice dude, congrats. I like the Grove. The big tree looks like Sam Adams clogging up Ronnie Brown's running lane. The last time I referenced the "claw," I was using it on some girl in high school, so I was expecting a different photo for that one.
  19. Perhaps having Moulds 10 yards downfield as opposed to 2 would have occupied that safety's attention for a second longer...
  20. Ty Willingham would have loved to get tossed around by a mediocre Michigan State squad at home and then get a 10-year extension.
  21. I heard that in a game back in 2005, he had already amassed 58 hits on the game's first 7 plays. This of course made him the career leader in hits, as this is the first time the stat has ever been calculated.
  22. You're right Campy. Having your #1 receiver run a 2-yard route probably was the best play available. Holcomb did everything possible to find an open receiver before that. I'll just skip along through the park today whistling on my merry way, not upset that the Bills lost to the Super Bowl champs in a game they deserved to win. The game is won and lost on a sequence of "one plays." The Bills chose the biggest "one play" to deliver their worst play call of the night. All I'm saying is it leaves a bad taste and an opportunity for second guessing. Incomplete to anybody (Moulds, Evans, Parrish, Campbell) for 9 yards, I would say "Dang, tough break, they played hard." But to end it like that, without a prayer of making a first down, makes it hard to take.
  23. Big deal? I think everyone knows what the play was. It was designed for Moulds to run a two-yard route, which he did. The question is: WHY? The one guy who is our money man, couldn't be covered all night, but we're going to look for Roscoe "One career catch" Parrish? If you throw to Moulds, or anybody beyond the marker, what's the worst that happens? Interception, pass defensed, or bad throw. Game over. What's the best that happens? Completion, pass interference. Both = first down. But we throw short, take the pass interference out of the equation, and ask a guy (without a head of steam) to beat 3 defenders and pickup 7 yards. Please.
