    Why are they playing 18 holes today? Why didn't they play a sudden death hole yesterday when everyone could watch it? Why are there different rules for different tournaments?

     

    Different rules are due to the different organizations that run the tournaments.

    The USGA runs the Open, so they make the rules.

    Before 1926, the golfer played 36 holes on 2 days.

    In 1927, they played 18, 18 then 36 on day three.

    then in 1965, they started playing 18 over 4 days.

    The 18 hole playoff has always been the practice.

    Personally, I like the British Open playoff ..4 holes aggregrate score.

    Poland vs. Croatia is scheduled for ESPN Classic at 2:30 PM

    This is group B play. I think they have the games at the same time

    so that one team can't 'tank' the match and alter the standings

    for advancement.

    Similar to the EPL and the last match of the season.

    All the games are at the same time for the relegation issue.

    The rehearsal dinner, wedding and reception all went well.

    Shutting down the bar in the 7th inning helped that...LOL

     

    Other than Mrs. Lew missing out on the shrimp cocktail

    things went well...She made up for that with two marguritas

    Saturday 6.7.08, my eldest dau is getting married.

    Future son in law is a good guy.

    They will accompany me and Mrs. Lew to the Home Opener

    as he has never been to a NFL game.

    What better than the Bills as an introduction to pro football.

    ... congrats to the Red Wings...

     

    And somehow I believe that young Crosby and Co. will be hoisting the Cup

    in early June in the next few years.

    Tuesday night FX will return with Morgan Spurlock's show 30 DAYS.

     

    Tonight Morgan spends 30 days in Pineville WV , working in a coal mine.

    This is just a stone's throw from my locale. A preview was shown in a local theatre

    and the reviews from miners is positive. Morgan 'got' what it is to work in a mine.

     

    Morgan Spurlock's first claim to fame was "Super Size Me"
