After a trip to Sam's club, we'll bring a large jar of Utz pretzels and some Chex mix.

Elbow grease.. We had a new janitor who was cleaning the tile floor. I mentioned that she needed to apply some elbow grease. She asked (in all seriousness) "Can I get that at the Storeroom?"
have to mention that she was 20 and this might have been her first job...She was more interested
in talking on her cell phone than cleaning and did not last long

First car > 1969 Beetle (GREEN) ...I could fit ALL of my college stuff in it...Even the stereo with the monster speakers...Now when I take my dau's to college we have to rent the BIG van from U-Haul...Dwight Eisenhower invaded the Normandy beaches with less stuff than the kids take to college nowadays..< but I digress >

Congrats to the women's soccer team and their victory over Brazil 1--0
and they did this without Abby Wambaugh.
The US women have now won 3 out of the last 4 Olympic titles.

Hard to believe how fast this team has fallen apart. In 2005 they were one of the league's big stories as an up and coming team. It's been all downhill since Palmer's knee crumpled in that playoff game.
They have fallen faster downhill than Jean Claude Killey

Parkersburg supports its HS teams in ALL sports..Not just football and hoops. Attendance at all games is very high. And they travel well also. My kids went to a school in the southern part of WV and when 'we' hosted either the Big Reds or the Patriots of Parkersburg South, the crowd from the visitors matched or sometimes exceeded that of the home school.
I'd like to see Parkersburg win this contest, but am realistic enough to know that some large city will win..
