  2. He is thinking it is 1977 again. In '77 Tom and Jack played the greatest two head to head rounds in British Open Championship. IMHO anyways

  4. reminder... LA Galaxy and the return of David Beckham and his good friend Landon Donovan... first game tonight....
  5. PTR...You should land in Charleston in the rain or fog... More thrilling and white knuckling than ANY ride at King's Island or Cedar Point or 6 Flags ,,etc.. btdt
  6. ?? the night before her birthday... Cheap bastard did not want to buy a birthday gift... geesh
  7. Buffalo(WNY), for the most part, is a large family spread out over miles but it's a place that we all still call home, no matter where we are today. amen
  8. Therein lies the problem. US player goes overseas and rides the pine,,, unless he's a goalie.
  9. Go UB...beat the dog-snot outta Pitt. I am still ticked off at Pitt for beating WVU a couple of years ago and ruining WVU's BCS title shot. Of course, coach Fraudriguiz's mind was elsewhere that week.
  10. "Now that's a REAL stimulus package"
  11. The Philly swim club incident was on the ABC news last night. But no mention of Akron.
  12. Hopefully he did not do a fist bump with that Fe fist

  14. from Buffalo News on July 4 http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/story/723196.html
  15. Saw YES two times.. OSU homecoming 1973....This was the concert tour that the 3 album set "Yessongs" was made. Then in 1977 in Charleston WV and Pat Moraz was the keyboardist. Tales from Topographic Oceans tour... That was the loudest concert I ever attended, in that my ears hurt for two days afterwards. Even louder than LZ at the Aud...... "Yes-light" << pretty damn funny. and Pooj...ELP in concert was awesome...esp in an outdoor venue like Rich Stadium (1974). there is talk of an ELP concert tour reunion But Keith is suffering from a hand injury.
  16. Congrats maurader guy !! Well done !!!
  17. Buried in the ever growing USA Confederation cup thread there is a mention of poster's favorite teams and championships (or lack thereof) So when did you become a fan of said team and when was their last championship. ? NFL ....Bills..became a fan in 1961....so 1964 and 1965 was fine by me. NBA...Cavs....getting closer MLB...Pirates (NL) 1960....I liked 1979, but since then ....... Indians (AL) 1965.,,, Can't remember 1948 NHL....Sabres...No Goal still bites.
  18. The Brazillian goal in the 46th minute was brutal... Kinda like running back the second half kick-off in a football game. Still have to be proud of the USA in this tourney. Coming back from the depth of elimination to play in the finals is an achievement...Moral victory...sure. But is shows that more can be done. On to Mexico City in August....!!
  19. Happy Birthday.. HAve a great day !!!!
  20. Deer Hunter. great cast
  21. Happy Birthday Ed. !! Hope ya have a great day...........
  22. "No one...I repeat, no one Circles the Wagons like the USA men's soccer team" with apologies to Chris Berman.
  23. Wed 6.24 ESPN2 at 11PM East Coast time will show a replay...So go set that DVR
  24. You are correct PTR, The guys were tired. They get an extra day to rest before Sunday's CHAMPIONSHIP match. After the first two matches can you believe the USA will be in the finals ? And FIFA has to get rid of those damn horns... esp before 2010
  25. The referee made the call on his view of spikes up and the foot above the ball. The challenge might have been late, also. I did notice that only ONE replay of the foul was shown.
