Derek and the Dominoes 1971 was a great year for music. And I am old/young enough to remember most of it.

Around noon we went to TJ Maxx , Target and a couple of other stores. Not very crowded at all. Cashier at Target said the store was crowded on Thursday until 11:00 PM and then it was empty until 8:00AM on Friday. The department store, Elder Beermann , that anchors the mall was PACKED when we went there around 3:00PM Friday. This store had great deals.

Headed to Morgantown WV to see younger daughter and son in law. Eldest daughter and hubby both work.. Also headed to the WVU--Duke NCAA Elite Eight soccer match in Mo-Town on Sat.

Belated Happy birthday. I was in the middle of a cruise on your birthday. Met a lot of Bills fans and we commiserated about the loss to the Pats .

Bathroom. Wanted to replace curling wallpaper, shower door and a light fixture. Gutted the whole thing and have a walk-in shower, shower heads on either end of the shower, fancy tile, HEATED tile floor and enough lights to illuminate the whole house. The heated floor is the bomb and the cats love it.

Memorable concerts while I was in college. Allman Brothers played at homecoming concert in October 1971, Sadly, Duane Allman was killed the following weekend in a motorcycle wreck. Luther Allison was the warm up act and was so popular, he was asked to headline Homecoming the following year. Quicksilver Messenger Service. 1972 I and a large portion of the crowd left after the third song. < Yawn >

I remember reading The Exorcist when I was a freshman in college and wondering if it had been made into a movie. Next year lo and behold it was a movie. Absolute classic.

Memorable in a great way ELP at Rich Stadium in 1974. Lynryd Skynyrd opened and they were great. James Gang was the second group. ELP was awesome. Quadrophonic speakers in each corner of the end zones. Memorable in a bad way.. Bob Dylan in Charleston WV 2003. Sound system was terrible which added to the singing / mumbling of Bob Dylan. Ugh

I learned about the attacks here on twobillsdrive. Then most of the rest of the work day was spent in the conference room huddled around the TVs located there.

This was a better episode than the earlier shows. Not explaining how Madison and Strand escaped the bar was a failed plot point. I like the previous poster's idea about Chris coming back with the band of evil bro dudes. Alas this will have to happen after a 3 or 4 episodes as this show, IMHO, will not have more than one more season after this current stretch of shows.

The Olympics needs to be in one or two locations and then alternate them. Greece and a location in the USA would get my vote. This would reduce the economic hardship on the host nation(s) since facilities would be built once then re-used. Alas the IOC would be deprived of the graft and corruption they extort during the 'bidding' process, so this idea wont hold water. and yes, somewhere Hope Solo is saying "Thank you, Lochte."
