  1. Sunday night, 9.17 on PBS is the first episode of Ken Burns' Vietnam War series.
  2. Theismann... no one else is close.
  3. Ditto for me.
  4. TSO has an East coast orchestra and a West coast orchestra. They have done this for many years. It will be interesting what type of tribute is done for the passing of Paul O'Neill.
  5. Happy birthday to CGF !!
  6. Tie.. Andy Mayberry and The Beverly Hillbillies.
  7. My wife's Avalon has this feature. When we travel out of WV and get to some flat roads, this is a GREAT option. You can set the distance to one , two or three car lengths ahead of you. The operations manual is very emphatic that this is NOT a braking system.
  8. I saw Randy play HS football and a game or two at Marshall. Athletic gifts out the wazoo. But I'll take Jerry Rice any day
  9. Not much use for cruise control in the mountains of WV. Esp where I drive to work. 45 miles... 1 hour up and down a mountain or hillside or two.
  10. mine was 153. I was a freshman in college and we gathered money for a prize for the guy with the lowest number. The guy who 'won' was 10 0r 11. He never went as we all had the student deferment. My birthday is March 8. When 'they' drew the numbers March 6 was number one, and then March 7 was number two. The mathematical odds of 3 days picked in a row are astronomical
  11. Mrs. Lew and I traveled in Switzerland and Germany in 1990 for my company's business. The car rental was a stick and I am surely glad my first car was a 69 Bug many , many years ago. Driving on the Autobahn at 125 mph was not unusual. My business host reminded me to stay in the RH lane except to pass. This was great advice as a time or two a Benz zipped by us at 150+ was my guess. The business host also reminded me to observe the speed limits in town i.e 30 kph. Right hand turn on Red was not the law in 1990 . Oops. I brought a little bit of America to Northern Germany. Renting that car triggered good memories of driving a stick and I bought a 1991 Camry with a manual transmission. Driving a automatic transmission in Germany was thought of as frivolous in 1990 according to my business host and his co-workers
  12. 92 years young. YAY Marv !!
  13. "She pulled out of her wedding dress a 9 mm pistol. Pointed it at her new husband's head and pulled the trigger," said Evans. ^^^ My favorite quote from the article. This should be a new feature on "Say Yes To The Dress" Wedding dresses with a pouch for a 9mm pistol. Geesh
  14. Ugh. I have been to Bluefield. It is the pits.
  15. Continued failure of concussion protocol .. Big red flag.
  16. Bald Eagles were taken off the endangered species list in 2008
  17. Back in the day..Cheerios, Corn Flakes and Rice Krispies. Now CrispX. liberal amounts of raisins added then and now
  18. As a current resident of WV and proud dad to a Marshall grad, I have to go with We Are...Marshall. My young daughter graduated from WVU, so we have the state covered.
  19. 2001 A Space Odyssey Dr. Zhivago.
  20. My neighbor does that. Tieing off the dead man lever. He also mows wearing sandals . WTF ?
  21. My next lawn mower will be the Honda self propelled mower from Home Depot. Current mower is a 12 year old Try Bilt that still chugs along pretty well. Back in the day, I mowed 0.5 acre with a push mower. When I was 15 we FINALLY got a mower with an engine. It was a Jacobsen that high level of safety features that were new back then, but taken for granted today.
  22. June 8..8pm USA VS Trinidad and Tobaga for World Cup Qualifying FoxSports1. and Sunday June 11. USA travels to Mexico city to take on El Tri in the most brutal venue ever .
  23. My favorite thing at Chik Fil A is the milkshakes. Awesome !!
