Stromboli takes a lot of time and it is so good. Those attendees at the graduation parties should be thankful. -

Windstar cruise sounds great. You will be spoiled. Our next cruise will be a 14 day tour of the British Isles, Iceland and Scandinavia. No that the kids are on their own, cruises seem to be our favorite vacation spot.

Having fun went away with the decrease of playing neighborhood pick up games. As a generalization it seems that neighborhood pick up games are ancient history and 'structured' sports have become the norm.

Myrtle Beach. I had the 'rights' bad. Not a slice, but not finishing , the ball just went right. Sea Trails course. The driving range was to the right and of course I plunked one over there. Much to my amazement and my buddy, I found the ball and since I was still ticked off I gave it a "Happy Gilmore" whack and knocked a 200 shot to about 4 inches from the cup. My buddy is still shaking his head about that one. The next day we played a course that had houses adjoining several fairways. One house had TWO nets to protect it from wayward shots. The netting was TALL. My same buddy said, "There's no way, you'll hit that house" I not only cleared the net and hit the well guarded house but the ball bounced off that house and hit the neighbors too. Fortunately, no broken glass. Been close to a hole in one on 2 occasions.

To answer Meads question. Yes, bowling fan here. Spent many hours at Frontier Lanes in Lewiston. Also enjoyed watching Strikes, Spares and Misses ,and Beat the Champ on Channel 4 WBEN. Saturday afternoon meant ABC's telecast of PBA bowling with Nelson Burton Jr and Chris Schenkel. The definition of smooth was watching Earl Anthony on the lanes.

In college I had a lab partner who did not know she was color-blind. Until we did a titration where the initial solution was green and the endpoint occurred when it turned blue. While she was titrating, I was in another lab area and came back to a full beaker of blue solution that she thought was still green.

vegetable beef soup. Harkins to childhood when parents would get a soup bone from Loblaws and cook it all day with a variety of vegetables, esp.. barley. The dog would have a feast on the bone after it was extracted from the soup. Good times.

Are you embarrassed to wear Bills gear?
LewPort71 replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I proudly wear my Bills stuff on a regular basis here in SWV. When Mrs. Lew and I go on a cruise we always wear Bills apparel. Great conversation starter -
At What Temps Do You Set Your Thermostat
LewPort71 replied to Gugny's topic in Off the Wall Archives
2013 we had the master bathroom totally remodeled. Heated floors and a walk in shower. The heated floor has a timer controller and it is great. The controller starts the heat at 4Am and shuts off at 7AM. Alarm goes off at 5AM, so the floor is nice and warm by then. We have had no problems (knock on wood) and the cats LOVE the warm floor. We have a contractor who knows what he is doing so that helps too. The controller Brand same is AUBE. www.aubetech.com. -

POLL: Can you drive a manual transmission?
LewPort71 replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in Off the Wall Archives
My first car was a 69 VW Beetle. So I had to learn to drive a stick. 1991 Camry was a stick too. Driving a stick shift car in WV is fun. -
