  1. Well you and I both have plenty to be concerned about. I'll agree that many posters have "the sky is falling down", point of view, but as terribly as we've performed in the preseason, can you blame them? I swear, in the Hall Of Fame game, didn't it seem like Tennessee was the team who had had an extra week of practice, and not us? In the packers and steelers games, didn' Trent Edwards look downright terrible? I mean, just plain poop-a-licious? I have been a Bills fan since I was 6 years old, and this team, other than the signing of T.O., has done absolutely nothing, and shown absolutely nothing for us to get excited over? I'm predicting an 8-8 season, and the retention of Dick Jauron as the head coach. And trust me when I tell you, I am one of the most optimistic people you will ever meet. I pray you are right, and the preseason means nothing, and that Monday, September 14th, we see a TOTALLY different Bills team.
  2. yeah, because come regular season, we're going to see a TOTALLY different team.
  3. Well my friend, this is a Buffalo Bills message board. We as fans, this is where we come to voice our concerns, complaints, and rants. If all you're looking for is rainbows and fairy tales, you might want to look elsewhere. In case you haven't noticed, there is definitely reason for concern with this team. True, it is only preseason, but in case you haven't noticed, we have looked absolutely abysmal. Hopefully, come September 14th, the kinks get worked out, but with all that seems to be wrong, it doesn't look too likely....
  4. Oooh wee, those are some big time words! For a big cat eh? I hope to God you are right!
  5. somehow, the bills will finish the season 8-8. Dick Jauron will be retained.
  6. I agree with Special K. I am not saying that Lee Evans sucks, but I don't feel that he is a truly legitimate number one receiver either. Trent hasn't exactly been getting him the ball, but I'm sorry, number one receivers find ways to get open. There were TOO many instances last year when Evans simply disappeared from the offense. You can point the the poor QB play, and even point to lack of creative playcalling to get Lee more involved, but man, as the number one guy on the team, you've got to be good for at least two or three catches a game right? This may not be a good comparison to some of you, but Steve Smith to me is what a true number one receiver is. There's no other receiver on that Carolina squad that strikes fear into any other teams corners or def coordinators, yet he absolutely dominates, week in, week out. The guy is what, 5'9 or 5'10? And I'm quite certain that defenses double him or roll a safety to his side every time he's on the field. I think Lee Evans is a gentleman, a consummate professional, and a great teammate. But a number one receiver. I just have to respectuflly disagree.
  7. "We wanted to get him the ball, obviously. Unfortunately, it just didn't happen. We'll look at the film and go from there."
  8. In all honesty, I don't know if that will make much of a difference. It really seemed to me last night that Trent had time to throw. I don't think Langston Walker is gonna get confused with the Ogden's or Pace's of the world, but he didn't look horrible. I feel like something is really wrong with Trent. His confidence has got to be at an absolute zero right now. Did he even attempt a pass over 10 yards yesterday? I am very, very worried about him, and I am one of the most optimistic people you will meet, but I just don't know if two weeks is enough time for him to right his wrongs. I hope I'm wrong.
  9. Lol it tells me our offense is lookin like a fresh, moist, steaming pile of fecal matter. And I only pray that DJ and company have something up their sleeve, are saving it ALL for Monday, September 14th.
  10. Man that was freakin scary how much Trent sounded like DJ. This guy's gotta be in denial. Or they know something they're not tellin us...
  11. Dick Jauron never tricked a bunch of innocent people into drinking, toxic, deadly kool-aid.
  12. Does anyone agree with me that during DJ's press conference, at about 1:10 into the video, he seems to call Trent out to a certain degree? He says Trent has to be more careful with the ball, "But he can't be timid, you gotta pull that trigger". to me that sounds like DJ's way of telling Trent to stop effing checking it down every other play! If so, I think that's a good thing...
  13. Personally, I find it just a little bewildering that Edwards would make that comment, "There are alot of guys who haven't faced a 3-4 in their day". Didn't he face the 3-4 9 TIMES LAST YEAR? Don't the Pats, Dolphins, AND the Jets employ the 3-4? And specifically, how many teams in the NFL run the 3-4? I don't know, that comment really just didn't sit well with me. I know I'm just a fan and all, but that just really eats at me. A rather piss poor excuse if you will.
  14. Great points all of you. I too agree that he really doesn't need to show what he can do. I guess my only concern was him developing a chemistry with Edwards. But there's no doubt his work ethic is 2nd to none. I wouldn't be surprised to see him sit the rest of the preseason. I do remember Bruce barely playing in the preseason.... But i definitely would be concerned if it's really turf toe. Hopefully that's not the case.
  15. Forgive me for not providing the link, but on ESPN.com's main page they posted that he will miss his 2nd straight preseason game... I know it's only preseason, and I seriously doubt that it's too much of a concern, being as though nooone can question T.O.'s work ethic, but don't you all think that the preseason, live action is necessary for him to continue to develop a chemistry with Edwards? Could it be something more serious than they are letting us know? I sure hope not. Thoughts?
  16. I sure hope not. From what I've heard, turf toe can keep a player out of the line up for significant periods of time. I'm gonna say maybe it's really just a sore toe. Plus, the coaching staff all knows what T.O. can do. No need to risk getting him banged up in the pre-season. Heck I don't have a problem with him getting limited reps in the preseason.
  17. I don't remember seeing Edwards, Fitz, or Hamdam take a sack...did Baker get sacked?
  18. I'm sure that TO definitely created some division within the locker rooms, but from what I read, he was very much respected by most all that played with him, especially in relation to the players.
  19. great post. I couldn't agree more. My only fear is that two years away from the game is definitely a long time, especially in the NFL. But IMO, he would be a tremendous upgrade over Fitz or Hamdan. But if we signed him, I would definitely be excited.
  20. I agree with you. From what I saw in Sunday nights game, Stupar played the best, in my opinion, off all the tight ends. Fine did show a few nice flashes. I wanted to see more of Nelson as well. But I definitely think Stupar played well.
  21. couldn't agree with you more. I know it's only preseason but dang....
  22. Favorite: Drew Brees and Payton Manning Least Favorite: Tom Brady by a long shot.
