  1. am i wrong for laughing at that last play? is this what we Bills fans are reduced to? laughing at our team when they make boneheaded mistakes, fumbles, or mental lapses on defense?
  2. Definitely not opposed to it, considering our current situation.
  3. I agree, the Skins are going to be looking for more than just a 2nd to acquire Cousins. My guess is that Griffin will probably sit out another week, to see what Cousins does against the Eagles. If he continues to light it up, his price tag will keep rising. With that said, I really think the Bills, if they're picking in the top 10, need to do whatever it takes to get Geno Smith. I disagree with those that think he's going to be a bust. I think he has everything it takes to succeed in the pros.
  4. Sure I do. Warren Moon was a very accurate quarterback, however not uber mobile, in my opinion. I do believe Geno Smith has the tools to be a very successful NFL quarterback, and I can see Ryan's comparisons to Warren Moon. I think he is more mobile than Moon though...
  5. I like Geno Smith too, alot. You could even say Warren Moon with much more mobility....
  6. That's a relief to hear. I really do hope he stays in New Orleans though. As much as I would love to have him as a Bill, it just isn't happening. I hope he goes back to the Saints and rights the ship that Goodell tried to sink....
  7. Spot on. If we re-sign Byrd, Levitre and Urbik, I'll be VERY pleased with those signings alone. McKelvin....ehhhh....don't think I'd lose too much sleep if we didn't re-sign him.
  8. I am really, really, really hoping we re-sign Byrd. He is one of our up and coming stars, and is going to be a stud in this league for years to come. Based on his comments, it's obvious he's not married to the idea of staying in Buffalo, but hell, who can blame him? He needs to be a priority signing, and if we have to overpay to keep him, I say we do it. Good things are on the horizon for this football team, I really do believe that...
  9. I'm sorry, I can't believe that Clayton's comments are being discussed more....am I the only one who isn't really curious about his statements??
  10. One thing I just thought about, if Payton IS allowed to come back after the regular season, he will be available to the highest bidder. With the way New Orleans has performed with him being gone, it only makes him THAT much more valuable. My guess is that when he signs his new contract, whether it be with the Saints or whoever, he will be the highest paid coach in the league. Now here's a question: Can Benson and Loomis afford to have the highest paid coach AND the highest paid player without handcuffing themselves financially? Also, do you think Payton negotiated coming back before the season is over to drive up the price of his new contract?
  11. First of all, if the Bills were to someone how get Sean Payton as their head coach, I will run butt naked down my street singing the Bills shout song until my voice gives out, or I'm arrested, whichever comes first. The situation with Sean Payton is a very intriguing one, especially with rumors that he may be reinstated after the regular season is over. The Saints are my 2nd favorite team, so I really do hope he re-signs with them. I hope that he isn't planning on going to the Cowboys. But I just don't think he would ever want to come to the Bills...
  12. You're right, we don't. I honestly am among those who think giving Whaley a shot at GM would be a good move. However, I guess that if he were to be promoted to GM, yet Chan stayed, it would give me the impression that he was forced to keep Chan from the higher powers that be. But, maybe Whaley thinks Chan is a good coach? I dunno...
  13. My first thought is that if Nix was out that Whaley would be the man for the job, but would that be fair to Whaley to promote him, but tell him, "you're keeping Chan". Would Whaley even be okay with that, and if he was, doesn't that make him just another yes man??
  14. Whoa I need to hear more on this!!! Clayton may not be uber reliable, but for him to make that statement he has to have SOME inside stuff....Nix might be out??? But Chan will be back? That doesn't even make any sense to me...if that in fact is the case wouldn't that stink of Ralph's insistence on keeping Chan? Wouldn't any new GM coming in want to bring in his own head coach? I'm confused...
  15. Great point. I've become so accustomed to losing that I wouldn't even know what to do with myself if were 8-5 at this point in a season....
  16. I understand the point you make, he still has a job to do. However, we can't say how we would react to such a tragic loss unless it happens to us, which I wouldn't wish upon anyone. He lost his kid brother. Everyone deals with tragedy differently, and let's not forget this is a 23 year old kid we're talking about. I think it speaks volumes to his character that he was able to "shake it off", so to speak, and get back into the game. I think he's dealt with it rather well for what it's worth.
