  1. Oh that's right he did play a season with the Ravens...forgot all about that.
  2. Oh ok. I may be in the minority, but I just wouldn't be thrilled with bringing in Leonard. I guess you could say when he was here in Buffalo he was in his prime, and even then I would've considered him a marginal, modest player at best. Matter of fact, I heard more about him and his play when he was with the Jets.
  3. Coach, wasn't A Williams a disaster at corner? Honestly I don't even really see him as a good safety, but he definitely played better there. I just can't say I'd be happy with bringing in Leonard. He played two or three seasons with the jets, one with the broncos, and now on his Wikipedia page it has him with the Saints. But he's not on their roster on NFL.com...
  4. I respect and value all your opinions and comments, but I just have to ask; do you think Powell is a good punter? I know he hasn't been the starter that long, but have you seen this big leg of his everyone was talking about? I'm not gonna say I don't like him, but I've been far from impressed from what I've seen from him. And I don't think punter is really a position that you have to spend alot of time getting acclimated to, or "get up to speed", so I would fully expect he come in and immediately be, "who we thought he was". I haven't watched every single one of his punts, and maybe I need to go back and look at some, but I have yet to see him just boom the stuffing out of the ball on a punt, and like JR in Pittsburgh was saying, I also have yet to see him plant one inside the 5 or 10 even. Maybe it's like some of the posters are saying, since he's the holder, they don't want to rock the boat with Hopkins... Just my opinion....
  5. Agree 100%. We've invested in Manuel as our QB of the future, and I say let him sink or swim, throw him to the fire, see what the kid's made of, all those great cliches. There's no doubt in my mind he's gonna have his games where he struggles. Let him work through them. I don't think many people on this board think we're going to have a 10, 11 or greater win season. I'm sure all of us hope we do, but I just don't think it's a huge possibility. So let him start from day one, and stick with him no matter what he does. I think to pull him when he gets in a slump would only make things worse. Even if he's ineffective for long periods, like you said, at the end of the season, go back and evaluate. I know it takes NFL players, most especially QBs, time to develop, but if he has a full year of play, I truly believe you'll know what you have with him moving forward....
  6. Love the effort, have to say not a big fan of it though. Like alot of the other posters have mentioned, I think it looks like someone drew it, by hand. Don't think it looks professional enough for the side of an NFL helmet. Plus, I think I'm too happy with the charging buffalo.... Again, great effort though by a fellow Bills fan!
  7. I agree, neither have I. Picking up Kluwe would be an upgrage, IMO.
  8. And if not for Lechler, he would've been probably a 5 or 6 time pro bowler....
  9. Well this team is certainly young and inexperienced, from the front office all the down to the last player. But a franchise QB can do wonders. Let's hope EJ is that guy. I have no doubt this season there will be PLENTY of growing pains, but I'm still excited and ready for the ride. This season is such a mystery. We could finally finish with a winning record, or we could win 1 or 2 games. Either way, I'm strapped in and ready to go. But the youth movement is definitely here.....let's do this!!!!
  10. I agree. I haven't really been impressed with Powell at all. Maybe I need to go back and "look at the tape", but I'm not seeing this big leg everyone was talking about...
  11. I would guess Lewis, Kaufman, Blatnick, either Brown or Gaskins, and Rogers
  12. Judging from Byrd's press conference, it appears to be pretty obvious that he doesn't want to play here. If that in fact is the case fine, let him walk rather than pay him as the top safety in the league, as he isn't. I wonder, do you think it was the same case with Levitre? I don't really remember much about any of his comments, but I didn't get the sense that he wanted out of Buffalo...
  13. Which was awesome. But don't you think they could've signed at least ONE of the two between Levitre and Byrd, if not both?
  14. Don't get me wrong, I am happy the FO was able to extend Wood, who I believe,(if he can stay healthy) will be our center for the next decade, and I'm happy about them re-upping Stevie, and even Kyle Williams,(though he seems like he may be on the downside), and yes, paying the big bucks to go after Mario. However, with that said, I still believe they could've at least re-signed ONE between Levitre and Byrd, if not both. If it in fact is the case that neither wanted to be here, which is a distinct possibility, then God bless them both and don't let the door hit you on the way out, but, as vincec just said, they had plenty of money to re-sign both.
  15. Wasn't Legursky challenging for a starting guard spot with Brown? so he would've been good for depth....not sure he should've been in the game this late...
