I think Foles would be an excellent quarterback for the Bills, but as so many others have mentioned, Hackett would figure ways to mess things up. Besides, no way Kelly gives up Foles and a 3rd rounder for EJ when he's seen exactly what EJ can (or can't) do now. He might have at once been in love with him, but I'm that love has faded.

I am on the detroitlions.com website now trying to get free tickets, but I can't even get pass the "enter the letters below" page. I put in the letters, but every time it just keeps saying you have entered an incorrect code...go figure.

I have no doubt they've improved, and this game definitely worries me. I'm hoping that the Bills can still pull through regardless. The defense is gonna have to keep us in this one early on for the offense to pull us through late. I have faith we can do it.

I also agree with machine gun Kelly. I can totally see Marrone being told to fire Hackett and given one more year to right the ship. In all honesty, I wouldn't be displeased with this option if it comes about. While I am certainly no Marrone fan, I don't think he's the worst coach we've ever had, and would love to see what he would do with a proven OC. Now if we could just get this little QB issue resolved.....

I can't lie, I would do backflips if we were to land Cowher. And I would do several of them in a row, on the concrete. And I don't know the first thing about gymnastics. Seriously, he was the coach I voted for that I wanted to see Pegula hire. I agree with both Kirby and FTL this would be a VERY attractive job for him. Pegula appears to be a "hands off" type owner who will let his GM/Coach do their thing, with little intervention, which I'm sure may have turned off some of the bigger name candidates the last time the position was vacant... Yes please on some Cowher!! Git r done Terry!

Other than the one you mentioned, the only other reason I could see Marrone on the sideline next year is if the Bills finish with a winning record. I don't have the stats, but I bet it's EXTREMELY rare for a coach to get canned after a winning season. Oh wait, you said its assumed the Bills finish 8-8. Never mind. I think Marrone is history.

To Dirtbag and Big Cat when I say that EJ was served a slice of humble pie, it was not me saying that EJ was "cocky". I agree that he is a very likeable, humble guy. I just meant that by being benched for the first time in his pro career was a serving of humble pie. Again, making him the 16th player taken off the board, handing him the job on a silver platter, and never having to really compete for the position might have given him the impression that he really didn't have anything to compete for.

The jury is still deliberating on that one. I personally, do think that he can be successful one day, and at the very least am willing to give him ONE full season to see if he really can be our guy. I think him getting benched could end up being one of the best things to happen to him, since coming here from day one he was given the job on a silver platter and told, "you're our guy". I agree with Shrader 100%. We saw 5 seconds of video, and people are throwing out racist comments, saying the guy is "the scum of the earth". Really people?? If she really was being an ass herself and giving Saints fans crap for half the game, as a Saints fan, would you be so quick to hand her a ball? I agree 100 percent the guy is a complete douche. Jerk, a-hole even. But saying he's the scum of the earth, throwing out racist comments, saying he should be beaten, his tickets should be revoked is way overboard. I couldn't agree with you more Alpha. Orton was absolutely piss-poor tonight, and played very EJ Manuel-esque. They always say you can't pin a loss solely on one player, but I'll be damn if he doesn't deserve a lion's share of blame for tonight. Was it just me, or were the receivers' body language tonight eerily similar to back when EJ was badly over/underthrowing/missing them?

The Bills came out, on primetime television, and showed the country exactly who they are. They gave all the "experts" all the more reason to continue dumping on us. And tonight, aside from the suspect officiating, Kyle Orton was very EJ Manuel-esque. I was thoroughly un-impressed with his performance tonight. 15 years and counting with no playoffs.

I was able to let go well over 15 years ago. My mood was a direct reflection of the Bills game that Sunday. When they lost, I wouldn't speak to people, I refused to turn to ESPN, watch any NFL highlight shows, the works. I remember once hanging up on a girl I was dating back in 2003 because she couldn't understand how I could let a football team ruin my mood. I didn't speak to my college roommate in 99 for two weeks because he laughed during the Music City Miracle kick return. I've become numb to Bills losses now. I at times even am able to find humor in some losses, when Buffalo finds a whole new amazing way to lose a game. Today was no different. I'm just kinda numb. A little ticked at the suspect officiating(whoever it was in the gameday thread who said Walt Coleman hates the Bills might really be on to something), but just still overall numb and non-chalant. No playoffs 15 years now....

I am willing to contribute. It will have to wait til payday though, you see my checking account is linked to my savings account, and then that account is.... Seriously though, I love this site. I will contribute something just because..
