  1. Thanks for the write up man, always love to hear from classy opposing teams fans. Glad you enjoyed yourself in the QC, ahh, hearing you talk about LaNova's, sniff, sniff, it brings tears to my eyes...Man I miss me some LaNova's!!!
  2. I agree that he's still an elite quarterback in this league, without question. It's surprising to hear that he's leading the league in completion percentage as well as in throws over 20 yards, but not a huge shock. matter of fact that's one of the main things I love about Brees is his pinpoint accuracy and his delicious touch on the intermediate and (used to be) deep ball. It seemed like a couple years ago, every time he reared back and let that thing fly long, you almost always assumed the catch. Again, it just seems like the last year or two, he is beginning to routinely underthrow his receivers on the deep ball. With that said, Monday nights game alone the man looked 158.3 to me. I used to live in Charlotte right after college. Left in 2004....
  3. The Saints are my second favorite team (my wife is from New Orleans), so I follow them, albeit not as closely as the Bills. With that said, I would still say no. The main reason being that I don't think Brees has too much left in the tank (last nights game being an anomaly, as that's the best he's looked all year). I think his surgically repaired shoulder is finally starting to wear down on him. I have seen him underthrow too many balls these last couple years, and giving away a first rounder for him, I believe would be too much. I love Drew Brees, and was a big fan of his coming out of Purdue, but I really do think his body is starting to betray him. Had you asked me this before the season started, I would've said a resounding he!! yes...
  4. Couldn't agree with you more in regard to Cutler's attitude, and his what seems to be apparent lack of care, lack of desire. Again, that's just my opinion from what I see from Cutler. However, with that said, I'd still say he's a hell of an upgrade over Kyle Orton. I don't care what he does in the next two games, I've really seen enough of him to know that he is NOT the answer at QB for the Buffalo Bills. In all honesty, have you ever seen Orton upset after throwing a pick? Have you ever even heard Orton at a presser say, "I" played poorly, "I" have to make some better throws..? It's always a team effort with him, I've never once heard him acknowledge playing a crappy game. As much of a piss poor attitude that Cutler has, I'd take him in two shakes of a lamb's tail over Orton. I hate to say it but that's how tired I am of watching Orton. Heck, even if the coaching staff decided something as crazy as putting EJ in for the last two games, I'd have ZERO problems with that.
  5. No other way to put it. Enough good things cannot be said about this defense. Schwartz deserves a TON of credit for what he has done with this group. It seems like even when a player goes down, we don't miss a beat. We had no sacks last week, and still entered today's game ranked first in sacks. And even though we only had one sack today, in the last two games we have gone against not only two sure-fire, first ballot hall of famers, but two quarterbacks with arguably the two quickest releases in the NFL. I am damn proud of our defense, and I pray that the stars do align, and we somehow find a way into the playoffs, because it would be a shame to have a defense this unbelievable not participating in the post season.

  7. I share the same sentiment as most of you on here, I am hoping for a Bills victory, and I know that anything is possible on any given Sunday, but I am also a realist. There is a reason that Denver is a 10.5 point favorite, and 90% of "experts" are predicting a Bronco victory, and a comfortable victory at that. What most of us have stated is that for the Bills to win Sunday, they will have to play out of their gourds in all three facets of the game, (offense, defense, special teams), AND Denver is going to have to play some ****ty football for us to have a chance. It is disheartening to know that unfortunately, that is where we stand. Heck, we as Bills fans, who live breathe and die Bills football, are predicting a Bills defeat, and the experts are predicting an unholy ass-whooping. That Mark Schlereth, being the from now on in my eyes douchebag he is, even in jest, predicted a 100-0 Bronco victory. With all that said, this game IS winnable, and as one of our posters pointed out, this is NOT the Broncos team from last year, and we DO possess the defense to harass Manning, as we have proven that nobody gets after the quarterback better than we do this year. I have 100 percent complete faith in our defense to get after Manning, completely shut down the run game, and force the Broncos to try and beat us with the dink and dunk. What discourages me more than anything else is our QB, Kyle "Pass me the Skoal" Orton. If not for our defense, last week in particular, shutting down the Browns, forcing turnovers, scoring a touchdown(should have been two), that Browns game EASILY could have been a loss. Orton has YET to do anything to impress me. I mentioned it during the game thread two weeks ago that just for a couple times, I'd love to see him throw the ball to a receiver and hit him square in the hands. Damn near all of Woods' catches last week were unbelievable catches, awesome snags that really bailed Orton out! Since he took over as the starting QB, I have YET to see him "throw a receiver open". I have yet to see any receiver catch a pass, in stride, and be able to continue running his route. I'm sure Orton has thrown some, but I can't recall any. The touchdown pass to Chandler last week was a pretty nice ball, i'll give him that, but other than that, it has got to be slim pickins. Plain and simple, Orton is going to have to play above his pay grade Sunday, and if he doesn't, we WILL get destroyed. I have very little confidence that Orton will do so, and it is for that reason that I believe we will lose Sunday. I'm praying for a Bills victory, but Orton gives me no optimism, no reason to feel anything else than worry and doubt. If we lose Sunday, and Orton continues to stink up the joint, I really do hope the Bills sit him the rest of the year and go back to EJ. Go Bills!
  8. I'm mad that I am cracking up laughing at that one! I just spit tea out all over my laptop lololol.
  9. Is that a fact? I was just curious, because I didn't think that Sunday's game was a mathematical elimination game...
  10. "SOMEBODY block 94!" "Get up Wes you can't be dead" "What day of the week is it?"
  11. Very true. If we can make it to week 17, and be playing in a game that actually means something, it will be unbelievable....Even the Pats, with something to play for, have shown they can be beat. Yes, it will be a TALL, TALL task to go into Foxboro and win, but man just think how that will feel!!! When's the last time we won in Foxboro? Just curious....
  12. I wouldn't give Orton a game shoelace. I thought he was pretty crappy. Most of Woods catches were more spectacular catches than good throws by Orton. Matter of fact most of Orton's yards came from his screens to Gray and Jackson if I'm not mistaken....
