  1. Reed83HOF, you shouldn't post sick jokes like this. Seriously guys, somebody say April fools...
  2. At the very end of the video, the old man summed it so plainly, so perfectly, for ALL of us.... "I still keep coming back. That's my team." Great video, gave me the chills. At the end of the day, no matter how much we fuss and argue with each other, we are still family. A FAMILY of Bills fans. Thanks for posting this OP!! Made my day!
  3. I would normally agree with you, but I'm sorry, I just can't see letting him go to our arch rival for nothing. Mr Walter Payton Man of the Year decides he doesn't want to play for the Bills for whatever reason(s), whether it was the Sammy trade, realizing he didn't want to play for the Bills after all, wanting to help heal the world after the Charlottesville massacre, etc. The bottom line is, he signed a contract to play for us, we have his rights, and if we can get ANYTHING to help improve this team, let's get it. And the fact that it's the Patriots we're talking about only solidifies my sentiments that we get something in exchange for him. This is the team that has made headlines for how they've taken our players, turning them into solid starters while we get nothing in return. I don't care what we get for him, as long as it's something. Regardless of what it is, the media will still make it look like the Patriots got the better of us once again.
  4. Sweep the leg....DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT? No sensei. No Mercy!
  5. My mistake, I don't know why I thought Seymour was in the competition for that #2 corner position with Gaines and Wright. I know injuries kinda hurt his chances, but I seriously thought from what he did last year, that he would probably land the number two spot, at the very least be the nickel back. With regards to Reilly, I do understand your point about being able to contribute on special teams, but I still thought he had a solid if not spectacular TC, caught nearly every pass thrown within a city block of him, and in the last pre-season game he left EVERYTHING out on the field. IMHO he deserves to be Buffalo Bill.
  6. Agreed, and whether the end result is good or bad, they are certainly doing the most with the opportunity they've been given. Unfortunately, up to this point, and especially with the moves they've made lately, they haven't done alot to inspire confidence in me. Just my opinion. Quite a bit, and I'm sorry, for the life of me I just cannot understand their infatuation with Vlad Ducasse, the decision to cut Brandon Reily, and the trading away of our number 2/3 corner for a short slot receiver who can return punts/kicks when we already have that in Tate!! I just don't get it.
  7. And you could very well be right. Again, I was only stating what was my opinion. However, we all know that what is said to the media/general public and what actually happened, often are two different things. I don't necessarily think McDermott is a "bad guy". I just think that alot of the moves that he and Beane are making are coming off as more ego-based than for the benefit of the organization. Even though I am beginning to personally dislike his attitude, I still 100% support him for the sake of our Buffalo Bills, the same way I can say that I personally don't like Donald Trump, but I still support him and root for him to succeed because he is our President. You don't have to like a person to support them. I'm praying that every move that he's made thus far pans out and we as a team benefit from them, but McDermott and Beane are making increasingly more head-scratching moves as we draw closer to week 1. How can any of us as Bills fans not look at keeping Vlad Ducasse on this roster and possibly starting him over Miller as anything but confusing?? When McDermott was named head coach, although he was not my first choice, I was on board. But when Pegula decided to give him complete control, and allowed him to name his GM, instead of the other way around, I was immediately concerned. And ever since then McDermott has taken that authority/power and run with it. And each decision he makes, in succession, is becoming more and more ego based and less and less logic/good for the Bills based....in my humble opinion. And that is what's making me dislike him. I could be dead wrong, and if I am, I am more than happy to come back here and eat my crow, because that means his moves have panned out, and the team is succeeding.
  8. 😅😅😅 I almost choked on my spaghetti!!
  9. I will go on record and say this. I am not a fan of McDermott and Beane, but I do support them and want them to succeed, for the sake of our Buffalo Bills. With that said, I am nowhere near as high on them as I was when they first got here. McDermott, in my humble opinion, is becoming more and more a control freak who screams, "It's my way or the...actually it's just my way, nothing else." I was shocked to see Pegula give absolute carte blanche to a completely unproven Defensive Coordinator, coming off a few seasons of mediocrity. And I was even more shocked that this first time head coach was allowed to pick his own GM, and not the other way around!! Nonetheless I still supported McD, and as he began a complete housecleaning of the FO, scouting, coaching, I remained optimistic. However, the Sammy trade was the first decision that raised my eyebrows, and tbh, I have been both confused and bewildered with pretty much every move since then. It's as if McDermott is on a crusade(love that word and keep thinking of that picture) to not just rid the team of essentially EVERY Whaley pick, but to show the football world that he and he alone singlehandedly turned this franchise around, from top to bottom. There is a certain air of audaciousness to every move he makes now, and he is making it increasingly harder to both support him and remain optimistic. It's as if he has this Belichick-ean air of cockiness about him, yet he hasn't even won a single game yet. I will go as far as to admit I'm beginning to dislike his attitude, mainly his sureness of himself. Obviously, if the season comes and we start racking up the W's, I will probably start liking him again. But I guess time will tell...
  10. Dammit, that was extremely well said. I am in complete agreement with Klos63, I am both confused AND annoyed with some of these head-scratching decisions McD and Beane are making, and the fact that they are both newbies makes every decision they make that is not CLEAR cut advantageous for the Bills a WTF moment. They certainly are doing it their way, and there's almost a degree of audacity with every decision they make. I desperately want the Bills to succeed, and I have been on board with the McDermott hiring from early on. But with every decision they make, it's making it increasingly more difficult to remain optimistic for our team's success, particularly this season. Like the majority of us, I will do my best to reserve judgment until seasons end. With regard to this particular trade, I don't like it one bit. Even though Seymour has struggled this year, with injuries as well as some inconsistency in his play, I felt that he was solid enough to man either the CB2 or the Nickel corner position. Clay from what I've both read and seen, appears to be nothing more than a return man/special teams guy....i don't believe he's any more of an upgrade over Tate. I guess time will tell.
  11. Allen looks mighty good, but I voted Darnold simply because he seems to be the more complete package. I don't see any flaws to his game. However, I'd be ecstatic with either of these two picks. (But Peterman is going to be our QB of the future)
  12. He's right guys, you really need to stop with these childish, immature and downright insensitive posts. What if he's right, this guy could be a real curMudgeon...
  13. You've got some talent, but the first time someone ticks you off, you'd set the building on fire. Sorry, the risk outweighs the reward...
  14. Mark my words, come draft time none of you will be talking about drafting ANY of these guys, because we will KNOW, not think, KNOW we have the franchise quarterback this entire fan base has been clamoring for, in one Nathan Peterman. I have heard all the talk about drafting a quarterback in the first round regardless of what Peterman does, but I personally do not subscribe to that theory. Yes, McDermott and Beane have stockpiled draft picks, and have enough ammo now to move up to take one of the top QBS in next year's draft. That's IF we find a trading partner, and as several posters have pointed out, with so many teams that will most likely also have a dire need at the QB position, it wouldnt matter if we had 4 number one picks, no-one would trade with us. I personally believe that we have found our franchise QB. I'm not just saying that because my avatar is of Peterman, and because I also happen to be a Pitt alumni, but because I have seen enough of this kid already, from training camp, to his play in pre-season to know that he has what it takes to be a very successful quarterback in this league. While I am not a Tyrod fan, I am a Tyrod supporter, and I can say without hesitation, Peterman has several things Tyrod will never have. He has unbelievable poise and coolness, especially for a rookie. He never looks rattled. He is decisive on all of his throws, whether they be good or bad. He already possesses a great ability to look off the safety, and as we witnessed last night, he is developing a great hard count. However, most importantly, he has two things that unfortunately TT has never had, which is the ability to CONSISTENTLY hit receivers in stride, to throw to where the receiver is going to be, versus waiting for a receiver to get open, and only then throwing the ball. Second is his ability to routinely utilize the middle of the field. I know it's only pre-season, and yes, his work was mainly against 2nd and 3rd units, but what he did, regardless of who it was against, was highly impressive and impossible to ignore. He has the "it" factor, and if you compare his play against the other rookie QBs highly touted of his class, Trubisky, Watson, Mahomes, and Kizer, Peterman has looked as, if not more impressive than all of them. Call me crazy, but if I were McDermott, I would start Peterman week one and I wouldn't look back. I know that many people believe rookie QBs need to be brought along gently, to sit behind the starter, hold that clipboard and learn, all while getting ready for their day to come. I agree with that to a certain extent, depending on the situation. If Peterman were sitting behind a Ryan, a Brews, a Rodgers, then yes, let him sit and learn. We have Tyrod. To me, Peterman has shown a maturity level, coupled along with his play, that screams to me, let him play. We know what we have with Tyrod. My ideal scenario is one where we start Peterman, he shows us this season that we have finally found our quarterback of the future, and next season, we have a more than capable backup in Tyrod Taylor. Then we could use our multitude of draft picks on other positions. Just my humble opinion fellas. But mark my words, this time next year we won't be having this same conversation...
  15. We have absolutely made scheme change after scheme change. That is a fact no-one can ignore. It is one of the things that has set this franchise back on so many occasions, most notably Rex coming in, inheriting the friggin number four defense, led the league in sacks, and turns them into a 3-4, has pure sackmasters and D linemen dropping back into coverage. And what was the result? Unhappy players, a defense that went from awesome to below average, and an offense that put up top 10 numbers only to be negated by our subpar D. And McDermott is definitely getting rid of players who don't fit his scheme. I do believe that both the Darby and the Ragland cuts were due to not fitting McDermott's scheme.
  16. I concur. I think that is one of the biggest reasons that Bill Belichick is one of the greatest coaches of all time is his ability to adapt his system to the talent he has on the field. (Well that and having the GOAT) A good portion of coaches in the NFL have such great egos they think their system will work regardless of the players that they have to run it.
  17. I hope that you are right, because damn near the whole world can see that Ducasse is a turnstile. However, if it's not as much a competition as McD is making it out to be, why continue with the charade of telling everyone that it's a "real battle" between the two of them? Also, if Miller is truly our starting RG (as he SHOULD be), why continue to give first team reps to Ducasse? That's taking valuable reps away from Miller... By the way, all my fellow Stadium Wallers, this is my 1000th post!! Finally!!! After only 12 years!!
  18. I agree with you they are definitely giving this guy every chance to win the RG position. He has failed miserably. I can certainly see them trading Miller. If they flat out cut him I will definitely lose some respect for McD. If they trade him, do you think we could recoup the 3rd round pick we spent for him? In my opinion, Miller is a solid, above average guard, who's young and has only gotten better each year...
  19. And what's sad is that McDermott really feels like this is really a competition at that position. I am beyond baffled at this, and wonder what the H E double hockey sticks McDermott sees that I'm missing. If he actually ends up starting Ducasse, I will lose alot of respect for McD.
  20. To properly handle/balance the QB's playing time issue. To have the team playing more disciplined football. Even though it's the last game of the preseason, penalties need to come down, and it's on McD to get it through to his players tonight that they still need to show some discipline, and not keep committing so many penalties, especially drive killing ones. To coach his team to his first victory.
  21. You really think Miller is on the bubble? I would be beyond shocked and unbelievably appalled if this happens. To me, not only has Miller outplayed Ducasse, but Ducasse has looked pretty freakin terrible, and on too many occasions. My personal opinion on this is that McDermott likes Ducasse, and also is on mission to rid the team of ALL of Whaley's draft picks. Honestly, if Miller is cut I will lose a TON of respect for Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane, because a move like this defies logic, and screams "ego and power trip". Again, not only do I think Miller has outplayed Ducasse, but I think he is a valuable asset to our O-line, and has shown marked improvement from one year to the next, is still young and has alot of good football in front of him....if we cut him, wherever he goes next he will be the starting RG, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him make his first pro-bowl... I 100% agree with you on Andre Holmes, he SHOULD squarely be on the bubble. However, with losing Sammy and Boldin retiring, I suspect he will make the roster. If I'm not mistaken he is the tallest receiver we have right now, and his size makes him harder to get rid of. Sammy was 6'2, and Boldin was 6"1 or 6'2.. So my 3 would be Ducasse, Ola, and Mudge.
  22. Since it's the last game of the preseason, and given the fact that both Tyrod and TJ have legitimate chances of BOTH sitting out, I would be inclined to let Peterman play the entire 1st quarter and then let him sit. I think if the Lions were playing their starters, I'd play him into the 2nd quarter, but we know they won't. Although I don't want to risk him getting hurt, I'd still like to get him as many significant live fire reps as possible to get him ready for the season opener.
