  1. Welcome Skins! Count me in the camp that wants to get our franchise QB that has eluded us for decades. I do like your analogy, and this topic is probably the most divisive besides "who do you want as QB?". I'm glad I'm not McBeane, and such an important decision, arguably one of the most important decisions in the franchise's history, doesn't rest on my shoulders. I've got tunnel vision now, and it's really hard for me to process the fact that yes, we DO have a butt-ton of draft picks that if kept could possibly yield up to as many as 7 or 8 starters, especially considering how McDermott NAILED last year's draft. Throw in Beane and boy oh boy the possibilities are endless. You see, I can say all of that, yet if I was the GM, I would've ALREADY given the Giants whatever their asking price was and we would right now be sitting with the number 2 pick, with a few draft pick trinkets left to snag players at positions of need, hoping they can at least contribute on special teams. Regardless of the camp you're in, when this draft is over, with my faith in the leadership we have in place, I can say we will either have our franchise QB of the future we've been waiting for, or a plethora of players that we expect to start day one. Another excellent analogy....and dear God I pray that you are wrong. I don't know if my heart will be able to recover from this one, and I'm one of the most optimistic people I know!
  2. Christ almighty he looked 400 EASY!! Good for McBeane getting something for him..
  3. I do think he showed some flashes in the Indy game. I thought that TD throw to Benjamin was very 'veteran-esque', and in those conditions, u gotta give him at least a little credit....I will even go as far as to say if he hadn't gotten hurt, I think he could've redeemed the SD performance in that game alone....
  4. Now this I completely agree. He absolutely will be fighting for his roster spot this summer. You think in addition to our 1st round pick rookie that they will bring in an undrafted QB? Between AJ, the rookie, Nate, and an undrafted camp invite, I'm confident Nate can secure a roster spot. My guess is we go into the regular season carrying 3 qb's yes? If we release him I fully expect a team to immediately scoop him up.
  5. I concede, you make a valid point. It sucks that he set a record like that. I do still believe he was forced into a rough situation, and that first pick really effed things up....
  6. Wow. Do you really feel that strongly that Peterman is a guaranteed bust already? Last year was his ROOKIE year for God's sake!!
  7. I'd bet money he's the most untouchable player on the team, moreso than Goff even. Just my guess...
  8. ?? that makes ALOT of effing sense. Dang if that happens that would be a good thing for us right? Giants take Darnold, Browns take Allen, Jets take Rosen or Mayfield, we trade to 4 to get the other one.
  9. He doesn't have to be. He can make people forget.
  10. Count me squarely in that 0.1%. To make the assumption that he's not the future after a bad, heck I'll even give you horrid performance against a great defense, on the road, and as SoCal Deek pointed out, DiMarco giftwrapped the 1st int, and then we lost our #1 WR. Think it's irrelevant? The only quarterback that can lose both his starting WRs in the 1st quarter and STILL win the game is Matt Ryan. Oh wait... I am firmly in the camp of drafting Mayfield or Rosen, and even warming to Allen. And I also loved the McCarron signing. But I still hold out hope Peterman can develop into a serviceable, and heck even good QB. He did come back to play some solid football in a BLIZZARD, even tossing a pretty TD to Benjamin. I'll admit my opinion may be biased because he is a fellow Panther, but to say with 99.9% certainty he's not the future, to me is a bit premature. I certainly respect your opinion, but wholeheartedly disagree. I think we can both agree as Bills fans whoever is under center for us this year will have our full support yes? Go Bills (and draft PLEASE @#%#@ hurry and get here)
  11. I like J'Mon Moore as well. Lauletta I do believe has the chance to play in this league and be successful. I suspect he'll go in the 2nd....and wouldn't be opposed to spending a round 2 pick to get him. After getting over the heartbreak of not snagging Mayfield or Rosen.
  12. I would be absolutely thrilled to get Chark in the 3rd.
  13. He sure was...i think he still is, to a lesser degree, but I LOVE his size... But Chark.....man that kid can flat out fly...do you think he can be had with our 1st pick of round 3?
  14. I second that. I also like Equanimeous St Brown...
  15. I definitely feel like Peterman got a bad rap, and yes he stunk it up in SD, but he did come back to have a solid quarter or so vs Indy. IMO we haven't seen enough of him to already label him NOT the answer. I still have faith in my fellow Panther. However, I feel like the McCarron signing was perfect, and I expect him to beat out Peterman and the rookie to start day one. BUT... If the rookie, for arguments sake we'll call him Baker, goes lights out in camp, throws 5 or 6 touchdowns in the preseason, and has clearly shown that he is "the guy", how do you not start him? I'm ALL for letting him sit for a year, hold that clipboard, and soak up some knowledge. That would be our IDEAL situation, but if he shreds in camp, all bets are off. Throw him to the wolves and see what he's made of.
  16. I would imagine both. I expect them to still sign one, maybe two depth guys, and I'm praying McBeane cracks a few 400 yard homers ala T White, and we get a solid rookie who can start at nickel come day one. Cause after White and Davis the list looks AWFULLY skinny....
  17. And the bad news, we would have missed out, yet again, on the chance to grab a potential franchise QB, and even worse, we had a freakin armada of draft capital to swing a trade! You are right, and maybe it does push a very good prospect to 12, but there's literally nobody this year that I would take solace in us drafting that's not named Josh, Baker, or Sam. Bruce Smith and Reggie White could have a love child named Bruggie, and he could have 32 sacks 19 tfl, and 90 tackles....and if we drafted him at 12 I'd still go in my room and cry.
  18. Holy crap I had no idea the kid said all this. And I liked the sh!t out him BEFORE reading that!!! Yeah....whatever we have to give up to move up to ensure he becomes a Buffalo Bill. Whatever. Do it. You have my full support. That is all.
  19. Was JUST saying that in another thread....ever since they swung that @#%# deal to get into #3 I've had a bad taste in my mouth that won't go away. And it has only made time until the draft go by that much slower.....?
  20. I heard multiple people that either knew him personally or met him say that Peyton Manning is one of the biggest a-holes they've ever known. I'd take him and his a-holistic, douchebag personality 1000 times out of a 1000.
  21. Lolol funny yet cold! ? I just don't think he falls, at all to be honest. The red flags that keep getting mentioned are probably more smokescreens to deter some GMs to pass on him. If the Browns take Darnold at 1, I fully expect either the Giants or whoever swings the trade into 2 (us presumably) to take Rosen. I don't believe he makes it out of the top 5.
  22. I share your sentiments regarding talking down to people who don't align with your opinions. We are all Bills fans, and because we all share the same passion and love for our team, it should bring us all closer, and in many ways it has. There's NO denying we have some absolutely brilliant posters who have an unparalleled DEARTH of football knowledge, team knowledge. Countless times I am taken aback by some of the things my fellow TBDs know and share. However, this site CAN get brutal. Opinionated, passionate people can get worked up over our Bills, me included. One thing I've learned since becoming a member 13 years ago is to grow thicker skin lol. And if you post something stupid, be prepared to get roasted and torched.... The draft can't come soon enough. All of us are on edge waiting to see what McBeane and company do. The Jets deal for the number 3 pick really, really irked me and I have had a bad taste in my mouth ever since. Tempers are flaring, people are ready for the draft TONIGHT. And with every useless, poorly thought out, silly LAMP it just makes many people more agitated. Don't worry my friend. Once the draft comes and we're sitting pretty with our Franchise QB of the future, plus hopefully 4 or 5 quality starters, we will all join hands and sing kumbaya....virtually. And btw, I love Mayfield and will be ecstatic if we get him. Rosen is my first choice but Mayfield is right there with him..
