  1. Gotta throw some Jimmy John's SOMEWHERE in there too now 👍 I don't live in Buff, but the last time I was up there visiting, my cousin took me to a sub shop called Shy's. I don't remember where it was but I think it was in the hood somewhere. All I know is that i ordered a steak and sausage sub with mushrooms and some sort of secret sauce, that the only accurate way to describe the way it tasted was that it was an explosion of love in my mouth, of the highest caliber. Best steak sub I've ever had in my life. Second best was this other sub shop in Buffalo that closed down years ago, called Rick's, which was also in the hood somewhere. My God that is some good eatin...
  2. Damn you, you just made Dr Pepper come out of my f****ng nose!!! ROTFLMAO! 😂
  3. I gave your comment a like because I too share your optimism about the fact that we traded for Diggs, drafted Moss, Davis and Hodgins, and that I also am hopeful that Knox fixes his drops issues and becomes the best TE this team has had since Metzelaars. HOWEVER, those are ALL just "ifs" at this point in time. I do strongly believe that the Diggs addition is the closest thing to produce immediate dividends. But for all the talk, all the hype surrounding Davis, and to a lesser degree Hodgins, these are still just rookies(4th and 6th rounders at that) who have yet to play a down in the NFL, at a position that typically takes a couple years to really get adjusted to, even for bonafide blue-chip 1st rounders. And the same goes for Moss. We're talking about a 3rd rd draft pick that hasn't seen the field yet, has been a little banged up in training camp, and isn't even projected to be the primary RB. I think he has a great chance to be productive in his first year, however not sure how much of a "difference maker" he can be, especially this year. I'm praying Knox has worked through his drops issues, and if he has, man his ceiling is sky high...but if we have the ability to sign a guy like Ertz, and I'm Beane, I'm breaking BOTH legs running to the phone to make this deal happen. The guy is a proven top 5 talent at his position and takes our offense to certified ELITE status instantly. No brainer.....i make this happen 100 times out of 100...
  4. SDS, thank you for all you do, all your hard work. You are a scholar and a gentleman sir, and we are ALL grateful! ??
  5. I believe he's already gotten better, dare I say leaps and bounds from where he was this time last year. I know its only been training camp, and an abbreviated one at that, but everything my eyes show me is a more confident, more accurate, more decisive quarterback. By all accounts his deep ball is better, he's really taken command of this offense, and he's making better, quicker decisions with the football. I'm excited to see how he performs this year. And the best thing about it all, to me at least, is that he has ZERO excuses if he doesn't get better. He has a PLETHORA of offensive weapons now plus a solid if not excellent offensive line to protect him. It's put up or shut up time for Josh Allen, and my gut tells me that he WILL rise to the occasion.
  6. You think Hodgins makes the 53? Ooh wee that would surprise me. I mean I've read that he's had a solid camp and all, and how he's got NFL genes and such. Perhaps he's just been overshadowed by Davis's strong performance, cause that's who I read and hear about pretty much every single practice. Honestly other than him being 6 foot a hundred, has he really had that strong of a camp that you feel he's a LOCK to make the roster?
  7. Valid points, all of them. I guess you're right in that Gabe Davis actually makes Williams that much more expendable. Now that I think about it, Duke's biggest asset last year and probably the main reason he made the roster was because he was the biggest WR on the team. Now that we have size (and talent) with Davis, yeah, Duke's probably a goner. Sad, i liked him and felt like he had potential. As far as McKenzie, I personally wouldn't have him in my final 6, but he does do quite a bit. I can easily see how he could make the roster.
  8. Agree 100%, whoever they end up keeping won't have any impact whatsoever on the season, that's just a testament to how strong and deep our WR core is this year. What a wonderful problem to have. Again, I don't envy Beane and McDermott one bit on having to make the final say on our WRs.
  9. I'm going with 11-5. AFC East Champs for the first time in 25 years. Divisional round playoff game: Home vs Steelers. Bills 24, Steelers 9. JA throws two TDs(Diggs and Davis), runs for another. AFC Championship game: Buffalo vs Kansas City. Bills 30, Chiefs 27. Allen throws for 300+, Singletary runs for 124 yards and a TD, adds 46 yards receiving. Moss rushes for 78 yards and a score. Super Bowl LV: Buffalo vs New Orleans. Bills 27, Saints 26. A close contest throughout, one that sees Josh Allen outplay his counterpart, future first-ballot Hall of Famer Drew Brees, to the tune of going 27-38, 296 yards and two touchdowns and one pick. Singletary again shows out with 107 yards rushing and a TD, but the game is won on the last play of the game, a, you guessed it, 47 yard FG by rookie kicker Tyler Bass, that JUUUST squeaks through the right crossbar. The Buffalo Bills FINALLY bring home the Lombardi trophy to the city of Buffalo. I suffer a massive stroke just as Bass connects with the football, and unfortunately do not live to see the Bills win. However, they do have wifi in Heaven, and i am still able to rejoice with my fellow TBDers online for sixteen consecutive days... Go Bills! ?
  10. Well said sir. Man, we really DO have the makings of a damn special, uh, special teams! It's nice to see Beane and McDermott willing to pay extra attention to our ST unit, because you said it very well when you talked about the margins of victory being so small nowadays in the NFL and how the teams that put together all three phases are the ones that end up playing football in January... So did I
  11. My stab at our 6 WRs(provided that's what we go with) would be: Diggs, Brown, Beasley, Davis, Roberts, Williams. Call me crazy but I think ol' Dukey makes the 53.... Is there any chance they go with 7 WRs? If they were to go with 7 then I would add McKenzie... (Hodgins to the PS)
  12. Ditto. I think he's definitely worth taking a look-see, the real question is could we afford him? I'm wondering what kind of money he's gonna be asking for... You know what though? It's a refreshing thought to know that maybe, just maybe he'd take less money to come to a team that has a good chance at winning it all. Its so nice to be on the other side of that equation for a change, instead of having to break the bank to sign top level talent...
  13. Completely agree. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we see a trade for another TE in the next 24-48 hours. I really do feel bad for the guy. No, getting your foot stepped on isn't your fault, but dang this guy is as unlucky as they come when it comes to injuries and more specifically, getting on the field for the Bills. Something's gotta give sooner than later..
  14. Very, very well said. Couldn't have put it better myself. Both were absolute class acts. Tyrod's style of play infuriated me to no end with his inability to throw anything beyond 10 yards to any of his receivers, and his performance in our playoff game vs Jacksonville single-handedly lost that game for us. I was all too happy to see him go. I loved Fitz for the exact reason you stated, he gave his all, he was never afraid to go for broke. He just simply wasn't talented enough. Personally, his scream after the Bills beat the Raiders on the last play of the game, and in the post-game presser, he said that an 11 year old girl had run onto the field and was the one screaming was one of my favorite Fitz memories....? But they're both gone, God bless em both, and I wish them nothing but the best. Unless they're playing the Bills. Then may they suffer from explosive diarrhea and mess themselves right on the field.
  15. I tell you what, the guy looks freakin good...i believe he not only makes the roster, but also pushes for playing time as a starter....i mean I do believe Smoke and Beasley are better WRs at this current time, but if Davis continues to shine the way he has, could they perhaps move Smoke into the slot, and Beasley comes in as WR4? Or is Smoke entrenched in that WR2 position? I don't envision Davis as a slot guy as he's just so darn big....
  16. With our defense, if Josh Allen throws 40 touchdowns and runs for 10 more, the Bills will ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY win more than 8 games....more like 11 or 12, comfortably...i have zero doubt on that one.
  17. Absolutely....and the more money a person has, often times leads to more bizarre, freaky stuff...so I can only imagine what goes on in that brain(and bedroom) of his...
  18. indeed they do my friend....but to me, this doesn't seem crazy as much as it does lame, juvenile and just plain ol creepazoid...
  19. Can the league take a team away from an owner? I'd be surprised if that were the case....but damn Danny boy, really??? Seems so lame, so 7th grade-ish...reminds me of back in middle school we had little pocket mirror key chains that we would tie onto our shoes so we could go up to girls and look up their skirts...sheesh...?
  20. Agree 1000%. What good is having a cannon for a leg if you can't hit from 38-40 like clockwork...kinda the same thing as what good is having a howitzer for an arm but can't hit the broadside of a barn, from inside of it lol. I didn't realize Bass had missed 5 or 6 times from inside of 50. Here's to hoping it's just rookie nerves or getting the rust out...i really want this kid to make it. With that said though, if Hauschka outperforms him and wins the job outright, he'll definitely have earned it, and perhaps the competition he's had to face from Bass was what he needed to dial back in and become Haus-money once again..
  21. Hate to say it, but this is so so true. I have no problem admitting I absolutely LOATHE the Pats, and would love nothing more than to see the team go winless...and then spend the next ten years buried in losing season after losing season, subservient to the Buffalo Bills...
  22. Thanks Yolo! Man I'm really excited to see how the scrimmage goes tomorrow...just hearing how multiple players are saying this is the most competitive training camp they've ever been to, all the positional battles for roster spots, how the WR corps is arguably one of the best the Bills have ever had, how the rookies have shined from day one and are exceeding everyone's expectations...man I do NOT envy McDermott and McBean having to make the choices on our final 53...there are going to be some extremely talented players finding themselves on the outside looking in come D-day...and even the practice squad won't be big enough to harness all of our talent. I have zero doubt that this team has the talent, depth, and coaching to take us all the way to the Super Bowl. To me, anything short of making it to the AFC championship would be considered a let-down...
  23. Even feels weird just saying it."we have a deep receiving corps"...but I love it! Aside from Stefon giving me a near stroke the other day when he fell...i effing LOVE watching him run routes, with his crazy lightning quickness, the absolutely SICK moves he puts on DBs, and the effortless fluidity of his route-running....and please forgive me y'all for being honest right here, but I hold my breath every time I watch him run, because of how quickly he's able to stop and change directions. It scares the living dookie out of me... But DAMN am I ready to see this offense take the field!!!
