Divisional Round: Buffalo at KC Sunday at 6:30

Yesss....great point you make about him picking a spot, then poof, gone. His decision-making skills are constantly improving with regard to that, which gives me much relief, and allows me not to have to hold my breath every time he tucks it away and takes off. What's really funny is that even though Josh is 6'5 and close to 240 pounds, he just does not give defenders much to work with when it comes to getting a nice, clean, big hit to lay on him. -
I saw that on ESPN.com this evening. Super cool stuff. I don't know much about her as a player but this is the 2nd year in a row she's advanced to the 4th round of the Australian Open. Love the outfit she wore for her match, Buffalo love down under!

I wouldn't be surprised with that at all. The funny thing is though, as valuable as Josh is to us as a quarterback, his running ability makes him every cent as valuable, because of the fact that you simply cannot gameplan for his ability to generate huge chunks of yardage with his legs...I mean it is insane how effortless it seems for him to get a 1st down for us when the defense calls the seemingly perfect play to stop us on 3rd down and Josh cooly takes off 3 strides later he's 20 yards down the field. I swear I do not envy defense coordinators the week they see Buffalo on their schedule. And like I was saying earlier, the most beautiful thing to me in all this is he's only becoming an even better, smarter runner with the football...it's a thing to behold to see how every year Josh takes these awesome strides in his passing game to become a more complete quarterback, yet I totally have been overlooking the fact that he is also evolving and improving his run game. Scary stuff if you think about it. -

Could not agree with you any more. The crazy thing(s) about Allen's rushing ability are, at least to me: 1. His speed is so deceptive. Josh Allen is effing fast. When running the ball, it's not like he looks slow by any stretch of the imagination, but before you know it, he's already run for 20+ yards. It's crazy to see him take off and simply leave D lineman and even some linebackers in the dust. I can't for the life of me(aside from the slip and fall at the Tennessee game) remember the last time he DIDN'T get a 1st down, by a country mile. 2. As great of a runner he has become, he's still only finding ways to get even better. I used to hold my breath every time he ran. Now he's becoming an even smarter runner. He still isn't afraid to bowl over a defender, hurdle one, or stiff arm the living crap out of one, but he's also smart enough now to know when to slide. My biggest fear with regard to him running was that defensive players were taking exception to him running the way he has been, and that someone was looking to make an example of him if given the opportunity. But because of Allen's maturity, he limits those opportunities much more so now than before. 3. The simple fact is, Allen is just a big, fast, physical specimen of a QB, and to be honest, there really isn't much defenses really CAN do when he takes off with it, except to hope to tackle him. I'm with you 100% in that next year I do believe he will be the 1st QB in NFL history with 4,000 yards passing and 1,000 yards rushing. -
I have to keep in tradition with last week's prediction in the score and stats not making any real sense. Don't wanna change anything

Buffalo 36 KC 17 Allen 25 - 31 376 yds 4 TDs, 42 yds rushing as he doesn't need to utilize his legs as much Sun Motor 24 carries, 151 yds, TD, Rec TD Diggs 7 - 122 yds TD Knox 6 - 86 yds TD Sanders 4 - 56 yds TD McKenzie finally takes one to the house this week, 98 yd kickoff return TD, to go with 5 catches- 61 yds

Thank you for the great tips on dressing warm good sir, much appreciated.

I'm gonna go on a limb and say for all the whipping he has taken for his ST's issues this season, losing his job, being benched, heavily criticized (and rightly so at times), McKenzie finally takes a KO to the house this post-season, and in a big way.

Trent Dilfer Brett Favre who most reminds him of himself

If I had to chime in I would also say that one of the things that really impresses me is how deceptive his speed is. When watching him run, while it is impressive, it's his speed that really quite often turns into a difference maker. I cannot for the life of me think of many runs where Josh does not reach the 1st down marker(or well beyond it). It's like you blink your eyes and he's 20 yards down the field. If you think about the fact that he still has significant room to improve as a runner, it's quite unnerving to be honest, in both a very good and very bad way. The sky is virtually the limit with this kid. All that said I do hold my breath every time he tucks it and takes off. He has a knack for making defenses(individual players in particular) look very dumb oftentimes, and I fear for Josh's safety on a play-by-play basis. -
No disrespect, but Alpha put his money where his mouth was, came on here and put his words/feelings out for all to bear/flame away to. Not to mention, I feel like 99% of the material he posts is informative, substantial, and fact-based. I give props where I feel it's due....👍

Nice Alpha.....mad props to you sir!!

Wife is from New Orleans, Saints fan by marriage. Also liked Drew Brees, ever since his days at Purdue. Funny, the year they won it all against Manning and the Colts, we drove down to New Orleans to watch the game and celebrate with her family. The city was alive with Saints fever. Seeing as my Bills were long out of it, I wore my custom #34 white Saints jersey I had bought that year. I ate, drank and celebrated with her family, and even as the game ended, I celebrated in the streets of New Orleans with complete strangers, slapping high fives, sharing hugs. Yet the only, and i do mean only true feeling to pulsate through my veins that night, (other than the 5th of bourbon) was envy. I wanted this for Buffalo worse than I had ever wanted it. "When will it be OUR turn to do this?" I walked back to our hotel alone, and sober. I can honestly say, only after this past season, I feel our time is not as far away as it used to be my friends. Am I saying this year necessarily? No. But I've never been more optimistic than now.

Questions Surrounding a New Stadium in OP .

Good questions all....I wonder the same thing. Seems like such a huge amount of stuff to just throw away... -
A theory definitely not easy to debunk....aside from Sammy Morris, I don't distinctly remember any of these other Bills to have done much. I remember hearing how Avion Black had real potential, Leif Larsen was supposedly like the strongest player at the combine, and how Eric Flowers was this speed dem.....er...excuse me I'm gonna be sick

1. We had the worst special teams units in league history, like ever. Opponents average starting position was like their 37 yardline. Christie's leg absolutely died that year. 2. The 2000 NFL draft saw us take: 1st - Eric Flowers, DE 2nd - Travares Tillman, FS 3rd - Corey Moore, LB 4th - Avion Black, WR 5th - Sammy Morris, RB 6th - Leif Larsen, DE 7th - Drew Haddad, WR 7th - Dashon Polk, LB 3. Rob Johnson started the season for us, Flutie mailed it in. 4. We were sitting decent at 7-4, then proceeded to go on a 4 game losing streak to quietly and efficiently end our playoff chances, and won a meaningless finale against the Seahawks..

flashback 2018 espn draft coverage of Josh pick
smuvtalker replied to First Round Bust's topic in The Stadium Wall
What's truly amazing to me is on draft night, as I watched this unfold, I had to be pulled inside off the ledge. I simply did not want Josh Allen as the next QB of the Bills. I was on the Mayfield 1st, Rosen 2nd wish list. I texted my family members in Buffalo countless texts of obscenities. I thank the Lord that I am not employed by the Buffalo Bills, in any capacity. Now, as I rewatch this video, all I can do is smile the biggest, cheesiest, proudest grin possible, feeling like we are SO lucky to have #17 under center for us, and to be able to watch him grow on a weekly basis..... -
Loved the Dolphins, Chiefs wins bigtime, but got dang seeing us go into Foxboro, amid the Bellicheck lovefest having been well-rekindled, all the hype once again swirling around the Patriots again, and have us go in there and straight up manhandle them like that gave me wood that STILL hasn't subsided!! That was the most satisfying victory for me in a long, long time...nothing like seeing Bellicheck at the presser, defeated, angry and speechless!! I know this may not be a popular 2nd choice, but last week's game against the Falcons gave me great joy as well, considering: 1)The Falcons were still in playoff contention, so we got their Sunday best, 2)we overcame not only a crucial muffed punt and three JA interceptions in a row to win a game as soundly as we did TRULY showed me that that was as complete a team effort as could be. Shut them out in the 2nd half, no panic, and with the game waning away, we lined up and told the Falcons, "we're gonna run this clock out by running it down your throats. Stop us.", and they still couldn't do a thing about it! Peaking at the right time gentlemen....

Agree with you that BB and McDaniel are really sheltering him and not putting more on him then necessary right now. I also wouldn't call Jones trash. IMO, he's a rookie, hasn't really done much yet, but also made some smart decisions with the football. He's CERTAINLY no Josh Allen! Never will be....

Jesus his hands are huge. 50 is only a few years away so I just had my first prostate exam. You hear about it but it isn't the same until you have to experience it. I thank the Lord he chose a career in football. I couldn't have handled...... "Okay, Dr. Allen will see you n - uhh sir, where are you going? Sir? Sir?"
