  1. Single seats still available for game 6 on sabres.com
  2. I think it was more of the established vets (Bruce, Thurman, Kelly, Reed, etc.) that had the longer leash, or none at all really. The younger guys were held in check pretty tight and weren't out boozing and stuff with the other guys from what I'm told.
  3. I agree with elementary and probably even middle schools. But to say high school kids aren't old enough to decide for themselves what kind of freaking drink to to buy seems crazy to me. A senior in high school could turn 18 and buy smokes, porn, go to war, get married, etc., but little Johnny might get fat so only diet soda for him!
  4. Another classic from flyersphans: "F**k this team. I'm going to go downloading porn. If I want to see someone get f***ed, I at least want it to be sexy."
  5. Dude, she's middle aged woman from homeland security, not a 16 year old on myspace. What gives?
  6. Oh, well I'm sure we could call up ESPN and have them run all new potential nicknames by you for approval.
  7. I think Berman already busted out Ashton "Shake" Youboty. I thought that was pretty good.
  8. There usually is. I've tried it before, but honestly it gets pretty distracting. Unfortuneately, you're better off just listening to the tv guys.
  9. According to NHL.com, game 6 will be on OLN tonight.
  10. Even though they may both fail, it could actually help the Bills. If they bring in two teams, they might allow them to be expansion teams instead of relocated teams. This would keep the # of teams in the league even. I thought this was always one of the sticking points with bringing in a single expansion team to LA.
  11. Yeah man I can't even tell you how many Sape = pro bowl and Kamil Loud = Tedy Bruschi threads I've seen on here.
  12. Playoff hockey is the schit. Man wouldn't it be sweet to see our Sabes shaking hands tomorrow night after a solid 3-1 victory!? Can't wait for the game. Good thing I don't have a final on Wed, since tomorrow night I probably won't get much done.
  13. This isn't a Tedy Bruschi thread....
  14. "Mama Said Knock You Out" by LL, and no "Dear Mama" by Tupac?
  15. Lol.....Hell I'd do it for only 237 million!
  16. 90 something posts in like 2 days? Christ, have you left your computer screen in the last couple days!?
  17. I'm not saying he wasn't one of the conference's premier recievers for his career, and the premier receiver during his final year (I know he was also a 2nd team all american that year). All I meant was that it seems hard to say hands down he is the best for two stright years when in the first one, 6 guys all together were named 1st or 2nd team all conference players and he wasn't one of them. His final year, yeah he was the best for sure. The previous year, you can make cases for some others. Didn' t mean to ruffle your feathers. Also, Darius (sp?) Watts was one of the recent MAC recievers who has caught on and had a little success at the NFL level.
  18. That would be Ryne Robinson you're thinking of. He is a hell of a punt returner and a very good reciever but he's real small. He's like Dante Hall a few years ago in that whenever he touches the ball he can break one. He'll be a senior next year and will probably be drafted in the late rounds as a return man if he doesn't persue a baseball career (he probably will because he's a star baseball player too). That being said, Nance was always the "go to" guy. Robinson really only emerged as a legit receiving threat in 2004 after Nance went down. If he was healthy all of 2004, I think a lot of people would have heard of him coming into this draft. FWIW, after Roethlisberger was drafted he said in some interview something along the lines of "I won't be the biggest name to come out of Miami, it wil be Martin Nance." Obviously, that isn't going to happen but it says something about his talent.
  19. Just because he caught more passes on an admittidly "bad" team does not mean Ridgeway was better than Nance. In fact by being a standout on a bad team, his numbers may have been inflated as the only go to guy. And saying Ridgeway was hands down the best receiver in the MAC for two years running is debateable since Nance had better numbers in 2003 and also made 2nd team all MAC as a sophomore. Ridgeway didn't even make the all MAC team in 2003. If Nance doesn't go down early in 2004, he puts up big #'s again, doesn't start rusty this year, and is probably a high round draft pick.
  20. I think Davis has a tough time making the final roster. Didn't we only sign him to a 1 year deal? Also, I have no idea about this stuff but if we sign a guy and he gets cut he surely doesn't make all the $ he was due to make does he? Like say Peerless were to get cut, is there some clause in the contract that voids it (except for the signing bonus) ? I say our recievers for week 1 are: Evans, Aiken, Parrish, Reed, Price, Nance
  21. YEAH BABY! THAT'S MY BOY!!!!!! Marv, your draft has been questionable and then you go and do something like this.......and TOTALLY redeem yourself!
  22. I know everyone is well aware of the lovely boards on flyersphans.com by now but if you want a couple easy laughs check it out. It's pretty much the same "officiating is awful, Buffalo is cheap, Buffalo fans are classless" crap but there's some classic stuff getting posted. I was a fan of post #10 in this thread: http://www.flyersphans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61921
  23. My old username there got lost in cyberspace somehow too. Not that I visit there too much, but sometimes its good for a few laughs. That place at its best is like here at its worst multiplied by 10.
