This is an addiction...
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to Sen. John Blutarsky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dude spare us the theatrics. We all feel the same way. They piss me off more than they should but I never question my allegence to the Bills. At this point we're 0-0 and have a 1 in 32 chance of winning the big one....Or at least save these kind of posts until after we smoke the Pats in week one and have a third quarter 3 td lead on the fins in week 2, then blow it en route into an eight game loosing streak. -
3 FRICKIN DAYS TILL BILLS FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love it that the Bills are being dishonest!
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to Pyrite Gal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Personally, I'd rather have a team that comes out and says what they are going to do and then goes out on the field and does it. Those are the kind of teams that win superbowls. BB is not loosing a second of sleep over the fact that Josh Reed is listed as a starting WR on the depth chart of the team's website while other media outlets report that it's Peerless Price. I'm fairly confident that this administration is not trying to do that kinda thing at all. Probably just something as simple as a miscommunication. IMO, the kind of thing you're alluding to is pretty "busch league" and something that the previous administration would resort to. I'd like to hope that Jauron & Co. are above that. -
Just watched the hour long special and as if I wasn't already excited enough about the season, that put me over the edge. As frustrating as our beloved team has been in recent years, football season is probably my favorite time of the year. The show started with a nice overview of all the major storylines from the offseason, then had some good interviews and a couple roundtable discussions with Vic Carrucci. Like many, I was somewhat taken back by some of the changes at OBD during the offseason. I don't know why, but for some reason I find myself feeling good again about the direction the team is heading in. I think we may finally have an organization that has the front office, coaches, and players all on the same page working towards a common goal. Will we be a playoff team this year? Probably not. Will the games be exciting to watch and will we see signs of promise from the young core of players on the team? I think so. I'm usually pretty optimistic about my sports teams but the last few years have proven that blind faith doesn't mean sh--. For some reason though, I just have a good feeling about the combination of coaching, personnel, and management that is in place now in Buffalo. A few random thoughts that crossed my mind while watching the show. 1. Marv's still got it He doesnt look or sound 80 and he may be new to the job, but when he speaks people listen. It's probably a good thing to have a GM that players will respect and try to play hard for instead of a pompous control freak that scans the crowd for negative signs before games. 2. We have some young players to be excited about I like the young core of players on this team for both their skills and potential on the field, but the way they seem to carry themselves and approach the game. I'm really starting to like this year's draft class and I think we will see more than a couple make a significant impact this year. 3. The previous coaching regime was retarded. When Murph asked Crowell about the differences from last year's system to this year's, he kinda laughed and said something like it's "more normal" without all kinds of crazy blitz schemes and schitt. All across the board the coaches seem to have the most basic philosophy of "do things that make sense and are pretty simple, do them perfectly, and do them with full effort". 4. Dick Jauron is really goofy looking. 5. The o-line could be decent and get better, but one injury and they're f'd. I hope for JP and Willis' sake that they stay pretty healthy and continue to improve as the season progresses. 6. I think our D could be surprisingly good this year and VERY good in upcoming ones 7. I can't wait to crack my first beer of the day on 9/24 at the Ralph decked out in one of my jerseys (undecided which one) and my giant foam chicken wing hat. 8. TKO is going to get a huge roar when he gets announced at the home opener. 9. It's going to be so much more fun following the Bills if they're finally on the upswing again. 10. I can't freakin wait till Sunday GO BILLS!

To any college students out there...
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to smokinandjokin's topic in Off the Wall Archives
There are actually a ton of excellent looking girls at Miami U in Ohio. I just graduated in May and felt a little sad a couple weeks ago when school started because I knew what I was missing out on. The first couple weeks of school were always amazing, as thousands of girls in skimpy outfits paraded around campus partying and bar hopping. And of course the best thing was the packs of freshman girls that would timidly come up to the fraternity house and ask if they could come into the party. Ahh good times.. -
I wouldn't waste a roster spot holding on to two defenses. Overall, defenses aren't that important in fantasy and they can be pretty erratic for scoring purposes. Other than that, pretty solid overall.

The most important Opening Day question.
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm finally back from being on the road working all summer and I think its time for a jersey update. I have a McGahee blue replithentic and a Milloy white replica, which is out of the question. I think this week I am going to pick up a McGee and an Evans jersey, one white and one throwback (don't know which will be which yet.) It'll be a tough decision between the three but it may depend on the weather. Suggestions? -
I can attest to that. Watched him for four years at Miami and he is a playmaker. Would be a great pickup on the PS. I really hope Nance gets on the PS too because I still think he can be a good player in the NFL at some point.

Yeah I'm sure when JP started off 11 of 12 or whatever and led 5 straight scoring drives that's what you must have been thinking. -
From my inside Sabres sources...

Are would your Sabres "sources" perhaps be the article that ran in the Buffalo News yesterday that said there would be about 5,000 tickets available for all 3 games? -
These Guys are good....

I was surprised that he used it again after using it for Connoly's tying goal in game 1 with 10 sec left. It just seemed like such a spur of the moment / one time thing. That being said, yes it's a freakin AWESOME call! Go Sabres! -
Gentlemen, your 2006-2007 Buffalo Jills!

There's some cute ones, but there's definitely a couple WTF picks in there. I know a couple of them from high school. -
Official Sabres-Sens Game 2 Thread
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to ans4e64's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great win for the Sabres. I'm real lucky that I still have my internet on here(graduated from college Saturday, in the process of moving out) and was able to watch the game on comcast. The bar that I watch all the Bills games and Sabres games (that aren't on tv) at was closed for a couple days and I was real scared for a few minutes that I wouldn't be able to see the game. I'm heading home Wednesday and I'm DYING to get to the game Thursday. I start work in a couple weeks and will be gone the entire summer working every day, so I gotta get to a game while I'm home for a week or two. I might grab some off stubhub or ebay or just try and scalp some, but if anyone has some they're looking to sell let me know; I'd be very interested. GO SABRES!! -
That's cool Dog. It's a great movie that's very powerful. It's definitely a "night ender"; you won't feel like doing much of anything after you watch it (well except some heroin of course ). Pi is a good movie too. Really f'd up.

"Me and my Buffalo Sabers yeah yeah yeah yeah". I'm blasting that song and a bunch of RJ audio clips right now just so I can piss him off before he has to wake up and go to work...lol

Connolly's amazing goal

I just woke up and I'm still drunk as hell. I'm graduating from college today, so last night was quite the shitshow. Anyways, I just woke up and I was in my Sabres jersey and I had a mix of Rick play by play calls playing nonstop through my stereo. Yeah apparently at 6 am when I was blackout drunk I still had the good sense to throw on my jersey before I went to bed and make a nice RJ mix to fall asleep to. I'm still on cloud 9 -

Wiley rode my bike around one time at training camp. He was popping wheelies and stuff. I was real scared because I thought he was going to break it. True story. -
Best episode in a while IMO.

Moussaoui gets life in prison
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to Lori's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah while you have 3 meals a day, shelter, clothes, and other stuff that many people don't have (at the cost of taxpayers). I'm not saying it's a good time by any means but for me at least, it's a hell of a lot better than being dead. For those who fear death, it's the ultimate punishment. For those who don't, who cares they'll be burning in hell a lot sooner and at a lower cost to everyone else. May sound cold, but that's how I feel. -

Schools pulling non-diet pop
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to Ramius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe if you took a second and thought about it you would have actually understood my argument. Did you really think I meant just because you can legally buy something, it should be sold in school? Yeah I think porn, tobacco, and guns should be sold in school to anyone 18 and over. Yeah that was it. I meant that by the time you're in high school, the law has granted you some pretty significant rights and the ability to make some pretty important life decisions. Therefore I think that a high schooler should be able to decide for themselves if they want to drink a fuggin non-diet coke or not.
