  1. Ok in all seriousness, for those of us who have no idea what that means could one of you computer guys give a "dumbed down" explanation of what that is? I have gmail as my primary email and would like to know if I should be doing something. Thanks!
  2. Ding ding ding we have a winner. Hell, I wish all of our starters would be on the sidelines for the rest of preseason. I love the preseason for the simple fact that I am crazy and it is some resemblance of football, which I haven't seen in months. It makes me nervous as hell though, and getting through it without any IR type injuries is a win in my book.
  3. Pats Sunday nighter last year was it for me. A couple posts in this thread pretty much summed up the atmosphere there that night as well as the behavior of *'s fans and Bills fans. I also had large groups of M!@#$s to deal with that night. I was in line for beer after it was about 28-7 (needed one bad at that point) and a group of * fans were in front of me in line. They start running their mouth talking sh-- about the Bills, the city, the area, etc. They're not talking to me directly, but they're talking loud to each other and glancing back to see if I'm getting riled up. I bit my tongue for about 6 or 7 minutes but they finally said something that I couldn't take (wish I could remember it!). I started giving it back to them and if I wasn't alone, it probably would have went down right there. Still fuming, I return to my seat to watch the *'s start running up the score and playing starters into the 4th quarter with the game clearly in hand. At that point I started screaming for one of our guys to break Brady's !@#$ing leg. Definitely my worst behavior at a game so sorry to those in 109 who remember some drunk guy screaming for Brady's leg to be broken. There was a lot of anger in the air that night and it got me too.
  4. I think I speak for many when I say that I like reading your posts and enjoy your insight, but the whole "Jauron only picks 1st round DB's / the way to win is to spend high draft picks on O-line crusade" is getting tiresome. We understand your position and many agree that the O-line (and D-line for that matter) of this franchise has been neglected for years. However, In the last year or two, both have been strengthened significantly and are finally NFL quality lines. Some better depth would be desirable, but you can't have it all. To continue to throw in the "Jauron will surely draft a DB in the first round" argument in about every thread that you possibly can just makes you sound like one of these "sky is falling" whiners that eat up the Jerry Sullivan / Mike Schoop BS. I think we all know you're better than that.
  5. Was I happy with the way the first team offense looked last night? Of course not. Am I worried about it? Hell no it's the first fuggin preseason game. When week 1 comes and ya know it actually matters, then I will be concerned with a performance like that. Get a grip.
  6. Offense looks terrible so far. Trent has looked shaky at best. Two false start penalties and poor run blocking by the line. I really hope Peters is back in the near future.
  7. I'll take Columbus, Ohio or better yet ANYWHERE, U.S.A over freaking Beijing!
  8. WTF? What a sh-- idea to have the olympics in that hellhole.
  9. The Labbatt will be flowing here in Columbus. I'll be pounnding brews and grilling out for the game. Got the NFL network so I'm ready to rock. Think I'll even throw on the Marshawn jersey and fly the Bills flag outside for good measure!
  10. Absolutely. No way we draft him there with his return skills as the main factor. We already have two of the best returners in the league. He was drafted to be a solid #1 corner, his return abilities are gravy.
  11. I hope you mean that "post injury". If not, I nominate that statement for dumbest post of the millenium.
  12. As far as I know, doctors don't fill scripts for pain meds in triple digit quantities..... "Yeah Doc I'm addicted to oxys so can I get a couple hundred instead of the standard 40?" "Oh Yeah, sorry I forgot you were an addict. Here ya go."
  13. You must have some serious ADD if that movie couldn't hold your attention...Great flick. As everyone said, Ledger's performance was amazing. Good storytelling, special effects, and quite a few funny lines (mostly from the joker). The theatre I was at also gave a round of applause at the end.
  14. I got my dad the same thing last year from BB.com. No problems for me either.
  15. It's actually: Guy in rehab: "Marijuana!? Marijuana!? You in here for some Marijuana!? Man, this is some bullsh*t." Saget: "Marijuana is not a drug. I used to suck d*ck for coke." Guy in rehab: "I seen Him!" Saget: ""Now that's an addiciton man. Ever sucked some d*ck for Marijuana?" Chapelle "No, Can't say that I have." Saget: "Didn't think so" Guy in rehab: "Boo this man! Booooooo!"
  16. Glad you were there to give us the report...
  17. Let me preface this by saying it's pretty pointless for all us to sit here and argue about "character" for guys none of us know personally, and opinions of whom are formed by what we read in the media. Now let me throw in my meaningless 2 cents. These guys are young millionaires that come from a variety of upbringings. I came from a middle class upbringing in a nice town in WNY. I have done PLENTY of things in my life that I am not proud of especially while under the influence of alcohol. If I had millions of bucks in my bank account, my mistakes may have been more serious. I feel that when I have had these relatively minor incidents, I have learned from them each time. I have driven a vehicle when I was too inebriated to do so. I have experimented with some drugs I am not proud to admit to. However, I feel like I have learned from these "mistakes" and think that I am a better person for it. Just today, I took a cab ride from a sketchy cab driver in a small midwest town that was quite uncomfortable so that I could go have a couple beers and watch some sports on tv. It would have been much easier to drive my company vehicle. It goes back to more about how we glorify athletes, especially those on our favorite teams. Have these guys fuked up big time? Of course. The facts are very vague and still I think we can all mostly agree on that. Does what has happened necessarily make these guys Satan spawns? I personally don't think so. I hope that this incident is the final wake up call for these young guys. If more things happen in the future, I'll lean more towards the "lowlife" label. At this point I'll chalk this up to a BIG !@#$ up involving alcohol and panic. For those who have never experienced that, you are a better person than I. Like I said, this is just my meaningless 2 cents and my ultimate hope is that these guys have learned from their huge mistake and that they all are able to help the Buffalo Bills win games in 2008.
  18. That's a perfect summary of The Strangers.
  19. You see the same movie I did? Thought it sucked big time. Took forever to "get going", no plot, typical slasher/horror movie. Save your $ folks.
  20. I know this has been asked a million times but does anyone know a place to get an authentic jersey renamed? I have a Losman authentic and for obvious reasons I'd like to get it switched to something else. I know there is an old thread with some links in it but the one that specialized in authentics got in trouble by the nfl for trademark violations or something. Since it's an authentic jersey, I just want to make sure the numbers and name font and color trim is exactly the same as it should be (not just some generic stuff from a print shop). Any help would be appreciated
  21. Having been born and raised in Pittsburgh and a die hard fan of their other teams, how did you become a Bills fan if I may ask?
  22. For certain posters around here who think that the Whitner pick was a "waste" or "reach", you had better listen to this interview. The guy is my age (24?) and you can tell he is wise beyond his years. How can you not like this guy after listening to that? I really think that with the additions to the D, he will thrive this year and be the game changing playmaker that we're all hoping for. Aside from what he can do on the field, what he brings to the team in the locker room is just as important. We're very lucky to have him as a cornerstone of the defense (hopefully for many years to come).
  23. Man I will be pissed if one of those WR's is still there when we pick and we pick a LB or something.
