That's an awesome idea....Someone should start a company that does that. Call it motivation corp or something like that.

Oh man it is awful. I was just about to start a thread about this but I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels the same way. Tracy Morgan's little Nelson Mandela thing was awful on many levels. On a side note, I bet the Bills win best team!

I'll admit it....I read the title of this thread and laughed. -
Roethlisberger - A Complete & Utter Moron!
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to Glory Bound's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ok I went to Miami, have met Big Ben, and agree that he is an ass. I know he is in a mess of an image situation, but COME ON! If the cops were called every time someone picked a tree on a golf course and took a leak, golf would be illegal by now. -
Yeah but imagine if the Bills or Sabres drafted a hometown kid who almost singlehandedly turned the franchise around and became the premier player in the league. Do you honestly think the citywide reaction would be any different? Like others have said it's just another sad example of one of the "little guys" in sports taking it from one of the big glitz and glamour cities. I really don't give two craps about the NBA but I don't see how a Buffalo fan could not be sympathetic to what Cleveland fans are going through right now.

Philadelphia Flyers fan pranked by girlfriend
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Off the Wall Archives
Wow props to that guy. #1 On the girl, and #2 (perhaps more impressive) for not completely flipping **** when she came clean. I know I would be pretty pissed off. Although my wife would know better than to pull some stunt like that in such an intense sports situation -
To answer the question all of them.............This subject is dear to my heart. My wife and I are both drinkers and like different drinks for different scenarios/occasions. I'm a "beer guy". I have had many of the higher end beers mentioned in this thread as well as all the usual suspects. I love trying different beers. I'm a big fan of pale ales and I'd say as a whole, the Great Lakes Brewery out of Cleveland is my favorite microbrewing company. As far as imports go, I love Hoegarden, Duvel, Spaten and a number of other Euro beers but also love a good Red Stripe on a hot day. I've started to get more into wine as I've gotten a little older (from my college days). My wife is a pretty big wine fan and I'd say in the last year or two, Malbecs are our current favorite. She took a viticulture and enology class in undergrad ( I couldnt get in ) so she knows a bit more than me, but we are pretty much wine novices. I always love a Pinot Noir and my current fav is the Rodney Strong. About $20 a bottle. Like I said I don't know wine near as well as I know beer so I don't know if this is considered a decent wine or not. As for liquor, I've toned way down since my undergrad years. I rarely drink liquor anymroe but if I'm drinking a mixed drink it's either a bombay sappire and tonic (maybe weddings, company functions, more upscale events) or captain & coke (trying to get shitfaced). I drink captain like its water so I don't dabble with it too much anymore. As far as shots go, I don't get into them like I used to 5 years ago. I'm to the point where if I'm doing a shot it is either a Jeager bomb, car bomb, or Patron straght up. I can't do crown, Jack, any other whisky, or crappy tequila. Sorry for the long response but as I said it's a subject dear to my heart Oh and although I understand and appreciate the "good beers", my everyday beer is Bud light. If I want to get drunk on beer it's gonna be BL unless it's a Bills game day, then it's Labatt Blue light.

Nfl sunday ticket; Who's signing up?
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to Clippers of Nfl's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll be trying the same threatening to cancel trick that I used last year. I got the ticket with superfan for $160 last year. I also get center ice so hopefully that will help. ...If not I'll still probably renew even though I have season tickets and go to all the home games. There's just something about being able to drink as much as I want in the comfort of my own home to watch the Bills find new ways to make me insane -
Joran van der Sloot Eyed for Murder in Peru
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to DPR4444's topic in Off the Wall Archives
News is reporting now that he killed the girl with a baseball bat. They have footage of him getting sent back to Peru in a bulletproof vest because people are "waiting for him". I know the legal system keeps society in check.....but in instances like this I say take away the vest and let this scumbag get whats coming to him...Makes me sick. -
Man, the sororities at Miami are dropping like skirts at one of the aformentioned formals. My wife's sorority beat these recent groups to the "suspended" list. A year or two ago I believe, their chapter went on self-imposed suspension not for a crazy party, but for hazing incidents. Those girls don't mess around!

My wife and I are Miami U alums and we were both in Greek organizations. In fact, we met at a "four way" party...(2 fraternities, 2 sororities...not what you pervs are thinking ) It was a pretty wild party with some of the same things going on, but it was literally at a barn & surrounding farm about 10 miles out in the country that an older couple had turned into a bar/event space. The underground freedom center?... No excuse for the behavior, but what the hell were the organizers of the party at the underground freedom center thinking? What a horrible idea for a venue. We at least knew enough not to throw our hornet's nest into a place like that. We always did weekend trips for formal so you'd better keep it somewhat under control or you'd be looking for a new place to stay and how to come up with the $ to get everyone's security deposit back. In my experience, the events hosted by a sorority were always more of a s---show compared to events hosted by a fraternity. At my wife's senior formal, the seniors got to ride in a big limo while everyone else took the bus. About 25 of us in the limo and some girl pukes....Lovely. Seems like more girls who might not normally be huge partiers go "all out" for formal. Not much different than say high school prom. Some of these sororities have 125-150 girls in them. Now us guys, we'd be drinking heavily every night so we could keep it somewhat under control...

I've eaten at the one in Columbus a few times and liked it. Bison meat is "leaner" than normal ground beef so might seem like less flavor than a normal burger but I still like it. I think they have chili made with bison meat too that is pretty good when combined with cheese and fries!

Welcome to Columbus! I live over on the east side. There is a Bills bar just a little north of you off 270. Take 270 north to Sawmill road and go north. About half a mile down there is a little shopping plaza on the right with a play it again sports and some other stuff. There is a bar in shopping plaza called Spoonz that is a Buffalo bar. It's where the Central Ohio Bills backers meet. Owner is from Buffalo and there's a bunch of Bills & Sabres stuff in the bar. No food, but plenty of Tv's, couple pool tables, etc. I have season tickets and the Sunday ticket at home so I don't usually watch the games there but have been to a few. Watched a handful of Sabres games there too. Always nice to have some fellow fans around in a "foreign" area.

I'll be at the Cincy game. I live in Columbus now so short drive, and I still have a bunch of college buddies in Cincy that are Bengals fans. Went there a few years back for the game when TKO picked off a pass and returned it for a TD and Peters blocked a punt in the endzone. It was a good time messing with those silly Bungles fans.

Anyone get a good seat upgrade this off season?

Good advice! Rocco's is awesome and be sure to get a late night chicken finger sub from P-dubs. You'll be sure to see some shennanigans as well! -
I want to punch the Valu Guy in the face.
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to ACor58's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wan't to punch Derek Roy in the face.....And Tim Connolly.....but don't want to be charged with murder because it would obviously kill him. -
What an uninspired effort. Guys just standing around in the defensive zone, giveaways at the slightest hint of pressure, and of course no forecheck. Time to do a major overhaul, but we all know that won't happen. We'll still be watching ice fairys like Roy and Connolly out there floating around.

Draft grades mean NOTHING!!!
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to billsfanmiami(oh)'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah exactly....It's just too bad the Bills only had one pick in the entire draft last year and that one pick obviously makes an entire draft... -
oh boy..... ...looks like he may have jumped the gun just a little bit...
-
nice analysis. I agree with pretty much all your points. I think the "tough" thing for us as fans is that the new regime is actually taking the approach that we've needed for years. They're blowing it up. In this draft they identified the areas of weakness that they thought could be improved upon the most in this particular draft. They didn't panic and draft a qb that wasn't worthy of the pick just because we "need" one. I will admit though, I'm troubled the OT position wasn't addressed until late. Seems like that Nix & Co. are ready to do a complete overhaul over the next few years to get this team back to being competitive. Even though it may take a couple years, I'd rather have that core built up instead of trying to make some new gimmick the new hope for the playoffs (ie:TO, no huddle, etc.)
