Booked flights within minutes o schedule release. My flight free on rapid rewards points, wife's was $295 RT. We leave cbus that Friday at 710 am land in NOLA @ 925 local time. Head back home Monday at 5:55 pm local time. Staying at the staybridge suites a few min away from the quarter. Free room with priority club points, guess heavy work travel has a few perks! Working on tickets now we have a pretty big group overall that seems to keep growing so will probably end up in one of the upper corners. Looks like it should be a great weekend can't wait! Hope to run into lots of Bills fans down there and looks like that wont be a problem!

Yes it is -
Gut feeling is that they think sanders can play or else we would have picked up someone in FA or late in the draft.

What a messed up name for an ice cream truck. "Hey kids come grab some of this delicious mr. Ding-a-ling! Don't tell your parents!" -
Haha wow that's great.

I usually wait for a groupon for my hookers and blow. Every little bit helps! -
Opinions needed - company relaxed dress code somewhat

I tend to agree but it depends on the style of sneaker. If we're talking full out hi-top bball sneaks of course. However there are a lot of more "casual" styled sneakers that go perfectly fine with jeans. I usually pair my jeans with a non sneaker type shoe but I do have a pair of black rockports, a pair of grey polo, and a couple pairs of Nike casual sneaks that can go well with jeans without looking too cheesy. Luckily my wife is pretty into fashion and I run a lot of stuff by her to make sure I don't look like an ass. She's actually turned me into a complete jean snob after I used to make fun of her for it. -

Shocking that he didn't "cut his losses"! Sensationalism anyone? I was expecting at least a 7 figure loss wtf. Pretty sure that fairly average people blow that in Vegas in a day and still go about their business -

Comparing Buffalo to Chicago in almost any way is like....well hell I've drank too much to even make a reasonable analogy. Someone help me out here! -
LAMP-Running a marathon tomorrow
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to Stl Bills's topic in Off the Wall Archives
We actually ran the half there in January also. I was the guy in the Bills shirt Pretty humid wasn't it? A lot different than our training runs outside in November and December in Ohio! Congrats to your family and especially for your mom doing the goofy. I'm pretty much in awe of all the people that do it. I think I prefer the half followed by drinking around the world at Epcot! We completed both. Have you heard about the Dopey challenge for next year? If not google it. It's a step up from goofy. Pretty intense! -

Congrats! As someone who is pretty new to distance running i have a great respect for people that have it in them to run a marathon. Have done 2 Halfs, just signed up for third this fall. My wife has always been a runner and she got me into it a couple years ago. I mean I did some running for soccer and hockey but never any real distance running. It sure is a lot about the mental aspect especially once you have been training for a while and are pretty much in shape. My wife wants to do a marathon and I may try it sometime but it would obviously be a much more strict and serious training schedule than for a half. For this fall hoping to crack 2 hrs or be close to it. For me, the 1/2 is a perfect distance. http://www.rundisney.com/wine-and-dine-half-marathon/ This is the 1/2 we just signed up for. Nothing like running 13.1 then following it up with some vino! -
Buffalo Bills UDFA Signings

Yeah was bummed out that the Bills didn't draft him. A good buddy of mine is his agent, I wanted an inside line to OBD! Said he's a really great kid. He told me that the Bills had expressed interest in him, but a lot of other teams also took notice after his pro day. -
The NFL has completely murdered the draft.

Anyone here play adult league hockey?
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I play fall and winter sessions in a league in Cbus. They surprisingly have a pretty large and well run Adult league. Played 2 years of A league when I moved there and it was a little too much for me. Only 4 teams and some really good players. Most played 3 nights a week and I travel too much for work to be able to do that. Took a couple years off then got hooked up with a C league team after they dissolved the A league. It's perfect. Just enough good competition to make it fun, but not too serious or out of control. My team is a real fun group of guys that meet at the bar before every game for a few pops. Aside from the often very late ice times followed by early work, I love it. -

Kolb on John Murphy: Impressions
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to ajzepp's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I understand your point but I don't think that's necessarily true. The draft is like a game and its all about perceived value. Just because a team passes on a guy in the first doesn't mean they've determined he can't be a franchise QB. Just means they think there is more of a risk he won't be. There are so many variables that go into picking a QB and the ones that last a little longer have more ? about them. The niners didn't take Kaepernick in the 2nd cuz they thought he'd be a good backup. He was less of a "slam dunk" but had every bit the physical upside of a franchise QB. I think the obsession with qbs is slightly overrated actually. Sure there are 3-5 elite guys that can win with any roster in front of them. But there is also a group of 6-8 qbs that can win the big one of the right things fall into place although maybe not year after year under all circumstances. I think guys like flacco, Eli, roethlisberger, ryan, romo, schaub, etc all kind of fall in there. -

I know what you're trying to say but don't totally agree. I mean really if you're not a top 6 or 8 pick at QB you may as well be a second rounde or later. Pretty sure the Bengals expected Dalton to be a franchise guy and Seattle got one in Wilson whether they believed it or not. Kaepernick too. Just cuz they didn't go in the first doesn't mean a team thinks they will be a carreer backup, just maybe the risk of that particular guy reaching his ceiling is less than some others. -
Schedule release set for 8 PM

Yeah I did see that thanks for the heads up. By big I mean like 10-14ish. If we can't be exactly together no biggie but will obviously try and group them as close together as possible. -

Schedule release set for 8 PM
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Same here. Have a good buddy from the south that had moved to Ohio to work for the last few years. He's been a Saints fan all his life but we brought him to the Ralph for a game a few years ago and he got hooked. Got season tix with our group the last 2 years before he moved back south. The Bills have clearly become his #2 team but he's still a saints fan at heart so we've had this game circled for a while now. Got a big group potentially heading down so really hoping it fall on a good week. -

Have wore Bills hear in Cincy (3x), Indy (2x), Miami (2x), and Jax. Cincy isn't too bad just the usual good natured stuff. As long as your not wearing Black and Gold they aren't too bad. The Bills owning the Bengals for a while probably helps too. Indy is a joke I don't know if anyone even said a word to us this past year. There were a lot of Bills fans there and we were pretty "visible" around town throughout the weekend and at the bars pregame. I at least expected some good natured banter c'mon Indy fans! Jax is also a joke as we all know. It's too bad because the setup down there on the river is pretty cool. Stayed at crowne plaza across the river and hopped a water taxi over to the stadium. Only cost a few bucks and no open container restrictions. Tailgating is pretty weak and confined to an area under an overpass. A group of Jags fans were pretty cool though and invited us over for some shots and drinks. Miami has gotten a little dicey both times I was there. First time we blew a 4th quarter lead so we didn't get much crap until after the game since it looked like we were in control. 2nd time was the slopfest a couple yrs ago when Freddy broke his leg. Awful game and Bills got destroyed. Had met up with the Bills backers down there and did the pre game party and arranged transportation from their meeting place in Hollywood. Awesome group and party but the combo of that and the game made for a less pleasant experience. Couple groups got aggressive with us. Looking forward to doing New Orleans this year and possibly Jax again if I can combine it with a work trip.
