Shot a fully automatic machine gun for the first time. It was a blast both literally and figuratively!

What's your Christmas/Holiday bonus like?
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I work for a smaller closely held corporation that's family owned. It's a very demanding job with extensive travel for about 8 months a year often working anywhere between 50-75 hrs a week. Usually it entails being on the road 2,3, and sometimes 4 weeks at a time with maybe some weekends at home between. It's tough, but we get significant year end / Xmas bonuses. It basically ends up being your "performance review" for the year. I think my bonus this year was 50X what I got my first year (7 years ago). We also have all week off next week and had a really nice Xmas party a couple weeks ago at a nice restaurant. Every year is tough and there is many times throughout the year I have to remind myself of how it feels when that check hits. Like every job there's pros and cons but I'm very thankful to have one that helps my wife and I to do the things we enjoy doing when we're not working, and will keep providing a good foundation for future children. -

Official Pre-Game Thread: Week 14, Bills at Buccaneers

Anyone ever have experience watching games outside the country? My Sunday ticket mobile wont allow me to watch games outside the US. I know about nfl game pass and thought I used it a few years ago but when I go to that site all I get is info for the audio game pass or nfl rewind. I surely am not losing any sleep about this but if I can also get the game on my iPad while drinking a cold one on the beach I surely would! -
On the surface, it seems like a no brainer. However it's a lot easier said than done. I work in the railroad industry so I have a little background on how this stuff works. The biggest reason and simplest explanation was referenced in the article, cost. I can't even begin to quantify how much money it would cost to even start implementing systems like that. Railroad signaling systems are not universal, though they often share basic principals. They can vary greatly along a route even within a single railroad. A lot of commuter trains also run on track that's owned by another railroad, or sometimes have to cross tracks controlled by other railroads. When you start adding all these kinds of variables in, the logistics of trying to integrate all these systems together would be staggering. The railroad industry as a while is very regulated and very safety oriented. It's become a huge area of focus over the last 20 years or so. Like anything that involes a human component though, there will be mistakes. Very sad and saying prayers for all the people hurt, killed, or affected by it. Oh and to another earlier question yes engineers & conductors have strict hours of service requirements.

This team makes me sick
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to billsfan_34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Still bitter about this one today. Just brutal the way it unfolded. I'm going to the carribean in a few days with the wife and yesterday's game still has me in a foul mood! That's so sick but its true. I'm sure once I'm on the beach with a cold one, I won't be thinking about it anymore but come Sunday afternoon ill probably be watching on the ipad. I really would just like some meaningfull december games for once. I guess I always take it hard when there's that final loss that is the nail in the coffin. Sigh, another long offseason ahead. -

My wife has a 2011 jeep grand Cherokee. First year of the "new" models. Absolutely love it so far. A few minor issues here and there, of course taken care of by the dealership. Thing rides great and has all the bells and whistles you can think of (overland trim). Lots of bang for your buck when compared to others in the same class. It's what steered us towards the jeep and away from a newer X5 which we had also liked a lot. -
I haven't been using twitter much at all this year because I usually just put out post game drunken hate tweets. I got retweets from Nick Barnett, Merriman, and Thurman last year. Also had a pissing match with local favorite timmah. I think my twitter blew up the most when I had an exchange with Brandon Spikes basically calling him out after he cheap shotted Freddy last year. He retweeted it to his 500k followers and I started getting bombarded by m!@#$ pats fans. Pretty entertaining.

We're you at the game today? Not trying to be a dick but that single play completely changed the whole "mojo" of the game. It completely deflated the crowd. If we go up 14 there, the place is wild the next possession. The D really seems to feed off the energy of the crowd and there simply was none after that play. It was a glaring reminder of Tuels shortcomings and was pretty much like a kick to the junk. His play greatly declined after that sequence. Missed guys left and right and had obviously lost confidence. Not good qualities in a QB.

What to do with TJ Graham?
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd cut him tomorrow. Absolute waste of a 3rd and actually moved up to get him I think. Unreal. -
We ran the ball like gangbusters today and that's why we should have won easily. Tuel was 18-39 for 229, 1 td and 2 picks. Everyone is acting like he lit the world up minus the pick 6. Without the Goodwin TD, we're all taking about one of the worst Bills QB performances in recent history. And that's with gems from Trent, JP, and Holcomb to choose from just to name a few.
-
Without the TD pass to Goodwin, 17-38 for 170 and 2 Ints. Was directly responsible for a 14 point swing. Hard to recover and win games when that kind of stuff happens. CJ and FJ made this game winnable, Tuel made it not.

If it was a called pass then yes, he should take some blame.
