  1. That's the book that I used when I started getting more into grilling/smoking. I have made sauce from one of their recipes and it turned out pretty good. There are a lot of great recipes in that book. One of my favorite "easy" ones is for some dry rubbed, smoked burgers that have been mixed with peppers & onions. Have gotten great reviews every time I've made them!
  2. Sad sad story. I wouldn't kill this little POS that'd be too easy on him. I'd surely give him a damn good ass kicking and would graciously accept my punishment for assault or whatever. Sure it doesn't bring the person back and I know it's not "logical" but screw it I don't have much sympathy for murderers. Hopefully he's punished appropriately for his crime and not out of prison in 12 years.
  3. Yeah flying freaks me out....
  4. I have a bit of a fear of flying. My wife an I vacation in St. Martin pretty regularly (I think our 5th trip there was in December). Every time we come in to land I think we're going right in the drink or into the people/beach bar. There's been some close calls as shown by lots of YouTube videos. Taking off isn't much better either as it's a short runway and there's mountains in front of you. Pretty much as soon as you get in the air they're banking hard. This year we actually took off "in reverse" towards the water. I've never seen a plane take off in that direction in all my time there, and I've spent a lot of time out on our balcony watching planes come and go. The guy next to us said "in my 30+times here we've never gone this way!". Comforting...It's real crazy watching the huge KLM airlines jets takeoff & land there.
  5. Booking flights right now!
  6. It won't necessarily stop the A holes from doing that and it will surely make getting into the stadium a pita.
  7. I think the banning of cigarettes completely is a horrible idea. I also was against getting rid of the smoking areas outside. I'm a former smoker fwiw, quit in 2006. I think that this new proposal would create a nightmare at the gates and lead to lots more confrontations.
  8. Couple years ago the wife and I did a long weekend. Stayed at the Sterling Inn & Spa a smaller hotel off the main drag. No view of falls but rooms very nice. Walking distance to Clifton hill and the Fallsview casino. The restaurant in the hotel, AG is the top rated restaurant in the region. We did the tasting menu with wine pairings. Expensive, but one of the best meals I've ever had. We also did a full day wine tour that included a guide, transportation, lunch, and tastings at 4 wineries. Fun trip. Another thing I'd recommend depending on the time of year is the whirlpool jet boat tour. Very cool but we did it in late fall and it was freezing. You get completely soaked. I'd like to do it again in the middle of the summer. Nearby Niagara on the lake has a bunch of shopping and nice restaurants. Pretty short and scenic drive from the falls. Have enjoyed a couple meals there at Zee's, they have a great patio!
  9. I don't have an electric but I do have a propane smoker and I like it a lot. Pretty easy to control temp, water pan keeps meat from drying out and is a good barrier from the flame. I've turned out some pretty good stuff from it. If I had a little more time and didn't travel as much for work id have more of a charcoal and wood type setup but I have no complaints about the results from the propane! Only drawback is having to replenish the wood chips/chunks every couple hrs.
  10. Sorry to nitpick but wasn't No Goal in the 99 cup finals? That would have been after the music city miracle right?
  11. Mario Kart will never be the same..::
  12. NFL radio on Sirius just said the Toronto Star is saying the Bills cannot be moved before 2020. The highly reported $400 million lease buyout doesn't exist. Don't shoot the messenger!

  15. This. Any pipe dreamers who think a new stadium will bring a Super Bowl to Buffalo, need to pack up another one.
  16. IIRC, it's not exactly that he "makes up his own routes". Instead it was kind of more like a timing & place thing. Stevie may do some unorthodox, bball type stuff at the LOS or before making a break and getting to a spot. Gailey said fine as long as your in your place at the right time and open, don't necessarily care how you get there. It obviously works as Stevie has never had problems getting separation or getting jammed at the line despite his relatively small frame. The drawback being as another poster said, EJ may not necessarily know extacly where he is while the route is developing, and if protection breaks down he then is locking on to him and or potentially making a risky throw. Hopefully this year the game "slows down" a bit for EJ, and when that type of thing happens he will be better able to find his 2nd, 3rd option.
  17. I sometimes lurk in here but almost never post in this forum. A quick scanning has reaffirmed my feelings for libs. Because you're a racist and it's W's fault. Isn't that how everything works in their heads?
  18. Cheers on the recycling! My wife and I are both drinkers and I can only imagine what the neighbors must think of of our weekly mountain. It's especially horrific during the fall for obvious reasons. For Bills away games we usually have anywhere between 10-20 at our house drinking and eating all day.
  19. If the Bills had resigned Puz, Mario probably isn't on the roster and I'm taking Mario all day long. Puz was ok, and I know he makes some plays here and there but I just dont see him as a "difference maker" for some reason. I dunno its hard to explain. I want a Patrick Willis type angry monster in the middle and he just doesn't seem to be that.
  20. Preseason always scares the **** outta me.
  21. Here's my take. Not so much an age related term, it's kind of become a regional term. For reference, I left WNY for college in 2002. I can remember my whole life growing up hearing about so and so's stag party. I never moved back to wny, have travelled a lot for work, have made friends from many areas of the country, and have attended countless weddings over the past 6-8 yrs. During that time, I've never heard the term stag party. Including the friends I have from WNY that have moved elsewhere. Now, the married friends I have from WNY that still live there all called it a stag party. Even in the last year or so. Am I imagining this or in that dialect quiz that was floating around online, was there a question about this? If so I bet its one of the best indicators for a WNY background. Anyways, sorry for the rant congrats and have a great time! PS I went back home and incorporated a Bills weekend into mine. Night before the game ended with niagara county sherrifs pounding on our door at the holiday inn on the falls. Good times!
  22. A little harsh perhaps but yeah Memphis is pretty rough. My company has an office in Memphis and I've spend more than a few nights there over the years. Beale st is cool, and yes there is great BBQ, but man there are some awful areas. Yes I know all big cities/metro areas have their own blemishes but for me Memphis, Gary, Detroit (and a handfull of other Michigan cities) are the pits.
  23. Not debating the logic just answering the question.
