  1. Pegulas are multi billionaires that love sports and particularly love sports in Buffalo. Traditional logic doesn’t apply. And as Bills fans, we’re very fortunate for that.
  2. Rockpile tickets available for only $800 a piece! (Per game)
  3. Hated sitting in the Oranges, felt like I was going to tumble right down and over the railing. Luckily only had to sit there a few times as we had shared seasons in the lower blues. Was only 12 when the Aud closed but man, I miss watching hockey there. Key bank is a soulless library compared to the Aud.
  4. Where general manager’s Brandon Beane’s phrase du jour is “the process,” similar to the Philadelphia 76ers famous, lengthy rebuild, the coaching staff’s may be “nothing is earned.” Sorry to be the grammar police but, what a horribly arranged sentence. Also wouldn't it be “everything is earned” or “nothing is given”?
  5. Fire department? Mayors office? They get the itinerary mixed up with the local Cub Scout pack?
  6. ? on all accounts. I’ll stand by the grill all day and drink as long as someone else is wrangling the kiddo!
  7. Haha yeah seems kind of counter intuitive but it feels good enough to probably handle the non check / loosely competitive nature of the “beer league” hockey team I’m on. I won’t be teeing up slappers or anything like that. I probably could golf but it’s still a little tender to be taking full cuts over and over all day long. And of course when i inevitably hit the ground and take a huge chunk of earth with it, that’d probably sting a bit. It was a minor procedure (nerve related not structural) so from a healing perspective I can’t really “mess it up”. Still think I’m a couple weeks from golf though.
  8. I’m one of the lucky ones. Playing hockey early afternoon and grilling out some steaks later on for everyone. Only thing missing is golf but had elbow surgery a few weeks ago so still not quite ready for that yet. Raining anyways so would have been a bad golf day (but good drinking day!). Did have to do 730 am church with a 2 1/2 year old tho
  9. I have Kyle & Freddy that I still wear proudly. (We don’t speak of the section of my closet in the back filled with treasures such as Whitner, McGahee, Losman, etc. Oh and a Trent at one point, but we burned that at a tailgate when he came back with the Jags..) ??‍♂️
  10. 6 days in Nashville? My liver is shuddering...Great town
  11. Same here. But love the band Ghost. They’re a satanic pop metal band from Sweden. Guessing they probably have a few appearances on that list! Lol
  12. That’s all you can do sometimes! I know the feeling ??‍♂️
  13. Master bathroom redo is definitely like lighting money on fire. We did it about 6-7 years ago. Obviously most of the time it’s a cost you’d never come close to recovering, but we’re selling our house right now and if we had not had it done, it would stick out like a sore thumb. The rest of the house had been extensively remodeled before we bought it but the master bathroom was just horrible. Like salmon colored tiles and olive colored paint type horrible...
  14. I’d put it towards one of the next trips we’ll take. If we were talking 50k, I’d get more creative. On the other hand, as someone already mentioned there’s always hookers & blow....
  15. How did they pull Charlie away from Old Country Buffet?
  16. Back to the topic, for me it’s anything in the smoker or just good ole fashioned steaks. From the smoker, I’m pretty good with the standard items: pork butt, brisket, ribs, etc. Less regularly I’ll do salmon or wings. One thing I’ll do from time to time that always is a big hit, is burgers in the smoker. Got the basic idea from a bbq cookbook but then tweaked it with my own rub and ingredients. 80/20 ground chuck, make your own patties with diced onion, jalapeño, green & Anaheim peppers mixed into the meat. After they’re all made, rub each liberally with dry rub. Throw em in the smoker for an hour or two with some hickory or fruit wood. Throw some cheese on, let em go another 5-10 and there ya have it. Not completely original but got my method down to a science and they always turn out great.
  17. Just spent a week there with the family in May. I churned this out on the last night. Super easy and fun, also best meal of the trip!
