he doesn't need practice. he's been returning punts for a couple years now, and im sure he is plenty comfortable with it. why risk injury having him return in a preseason game? also i'd think we would want to see who else can do a good job as maybe it would factor in a decision of who to keep in a close battle for a roster spot.

Around here we call it "the gallon challenge". I know it has been attempted by a bunch of guys in my Fraternity but I don't think anyone has been successful. I'll have to double check though.

During the 6-10 year if I'm not mistaken, we went something like 6 or 7 straight games without an offensive Touchdown. I don't care if you have Ralph Wilson and Marv Levy as your starting wideouts, if you're a 12 year "pro bowl" caliber Qb, then you find a way to get the ball in the end zone. That stretch of games was some of the most atrocious offensive football I have ever seen.

my prayers go out to the Herrion and 49er families. things like this and korey stringer a few years ago kinda put things in perspective when i think about my obsession with the nfl.

Where's former enforcer Dane Jackson when you need him?..lol. Anyone remember when he played a few games up from Rochester? I'll never forget playing Philly at the Aud one time and the game got out of control about a minute before the 2nd period ended. There was already like 3 fights that game then Jackson beat the crap outta someone with about 40 sec left in the 2nd period. Then like 20 sec after play resumed Barnaby got taken out in front of the net and chos ensues. May comes flyin in, everyone starts fighting. Barnaby's down and the goalie (Garth Snow I think) pokes him, then he jumps up and beats the shznit out of him. Fighting goes on for like 10 min. Barnaby and Brind'Amor battled for about 5 min alone. Trefilov came down and fought Snow (Trefilov got killed I think), and they ended the period early to figure out penalties and stuff. Don't know why that random game popped into my head but man it was crazy.

Loved that one from the Jets game, and I forgot about that incredible one handed one he reached back for and hauled in during the Fins game in Miami. Only like a 12 yard reception but man it was sweet.

Watching that just got me even more pumped for the season. One thing I noticed was how timid and skittish Bledsoe looked throughout the entire year. Pat...pat pat...When watching those highlights again, I saw a ton of crappy spirals and off target passes. Made me feel a little better about JP. This TEAM will win games this season just like last year. I think we're in store for a fun season, especially if we don't bomb at the beginning. On a side note, anyone catch the Dolphags 2004 video yearbook right before the Bills? It was laughable at times. They didn't even do the game by game analysis type thing. The show was mostly about this years team improving under a new coach with some highlights from their couple wins in between lol...Oh yeah the best comments were about Travaris Tillman solidifying the D and AJ "touchy" Feeley rising to the challenge of being the starting qb.

I think that speaks volumes about people who give their biased opinions about things they obviously know nothing about.

Hootie played for free this past Saturday night in Buffalo down by the naval yard. A couple of my friends went and said it wasn't a bad show for free at least. I can't remember what they said but it might have just been Darius Rucker now that I think about it.

Just found out this past weekend that I'll be attending my first home opener. I'm so phyched. The atmosphere at the Ralph must be crazy. On Sept. 11th I'll have my drinking shoes on early, thats for sure.
