  1. 17-0 Rams =
  2. They just need to start executing better...
  3. quote of the day?
  4. Im still sticking by my gut feeling that the King is going to be the first overall pick in the draft next year. He's such a playmaker.
  5. I'm assuming that this is a serious question (if not sorry I missed the sarcasm).I'd probably guess a combination of things. It's cliche, but like many people have said weather is probably one thing. I mean honestly every time I meet someone and say I'm from Buffalo the first thing they say is "man you got all that snow there." It's like people think it snows in Buffalo year round. I'm sure the fact that they're closer to home is nice for family and friends to be able to see games. It seems to me like the schools here do show a commitment to winning and being contenders each year. I know this is kinda related to win/loss records but like someone else mentioned earlier the prospect of some national tv games must be exciting. I mean we have 4 national tv games this year and we probably won't even win the MAC. The schools are for the most part nice campuses in smaller, middle of nowhere type college towns. Its a fun atmosphere to be in at college not having to worry about "big city" stuff. Also, I know at this campus the fact that rich extremely hot girls seem to multiply by the day can't hurt. I know there are great looking women at every school, but man at this campus its something else. I'm sure anyone thats been here can vouch. Overall, its probably just a combination of many things that make it more appealing to stay close to home than to the "unknown" of UB.
  6. Wow quite a pickle there huh?....
  7. Another thing to think about is the overal lquality of high school football players in the immediate area. Here at Miami U, we get a bunch of the good players that dont get scholarships to OSU, Michigan, etc. I'm from WNY but since I've been going to school here in Ohio, it's very obvious that the quality of high school football here is way above that of WNY. The best big school teams from WNY could probably get worked by some of the smaller division teams here. They're sure as hell serious about their football in Ohio.
  8. No way UB would have "developed" into a program that could have joined the Big East. There are about 5 programs in the MAC that are light years ahead of UB that would definitely be asked first.
  9. looks like Big Ben might be ok. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2187451
  10. lol...didn't catch that watching the game. musta been too wasted.
  11. Just got carted off at the end of the game...
  12. I still think the Saints will be the most likely candidate to move. There were problems before and unfortunately, Katrina may have been the last straw.
  13. This was the first I have gotten to see of the Sabres this year, and even though I only got to see the 3rd and OT it was great. Lots of back and forth action and the Sabres seem to really have some guys who can score and make plays offensively (Sabres have some offense? who woulda thought). Miller looked very good from what I saw too. Probably won't get to see many other games unless I am at home but it was a nice treat to catch the tail end tonight. Go Sabres & go Bills!!!!!
  14. Woo hoo! Finally they put on the Sabres game right at the beginning of the 3rd.
  15. We have Time Warner cable. Its just strange because I have OLN on, it says on the guide that its NHL hockey Penguins @ Sabres, but they have some stupid sailing show on. Oh well guess I'll just have to watch MNF in a bit.
  16. I definitely have OLN on right now and no Sabres ....Must be cause I'm out near Cincy or somthing
  17. What the hell!? I just put on OLN and I'm getting some countdown show about worst jobs. It even says on the guide that it should be Penguins @ Sabres....dammit!
  18. Good luck man! If all else fails, I bet Mr. Daniels, Mr. Cuervo, Mr. Morgan, and Mr. Beam will be there to have your back.
  19. lol....yeah if we loose tomorrow Jason Peters may find himself trying to clear waivers....
  20. Being from WNY, I guess I really didn't realize how big the Bills national following and devotion was until I started reading the boards. It seems like every week there is a new thread about someone looking for a place to watch Bills games on Sunday. Almost always, people reply with a few "Bills bars" or hangouts that are frequented by fellow Bills fans. I know I'm just stating the obvious but I think that's pretty freakin cool. I don't know but I doubt you're going to find a Seahawks or Vikings bar in most cities. Sorry for the random observation but it was just something nice to think about when things seem so screwed up right now at OBD.
  21. Man I just listened to that audio thing from that article and freakin Janerette gave me goosebumps. Just listening to him made me excited for hockey again.
