Since everyone was afraid to take me up on my bet offer there is no need for me to apologize. I think the Pro Bowl probably opened up some eyes nationally in terms of AFC/NFC. Although the final score favored the AFC they needed a false touchdown on an incomplete pass, they needed to take out the starting NFC QB with a cheap shot and then they needed a ref who wanted to avoid OT at all costs. They got all of them. Good for the AFC. Yay. I'm sure the game on the field opened up some eyes here. I'm darn sure Moorman now realizes the nature of the physical play in the NFC 2006. With free agency and the draft the AFC could very well catch up to or pass the NFC in '07. I don't really care so much as long as the Bills keep getting better.

Researchers Test Herpes as Brain Cancer Treatment Glioma is the most common form of brain cancer, and most of its victims are adults in the prime of their life. There has never been a successful treatment for the deadly brain disease, but doctors at Methodist Hospital in Houston believe they have finally found a cure. The hospital is one of the only medical centers in the country using the treatment. One patient using the new treatment is Connie Radford. She has spent the past 20 years as a Houston-area school teacher, and while she had to step away from the job she loves for cancer treatment, she plans to get back to her students soon. "I think I'm like your average school teacher. I want to work hard and work smart, do the right thing and leave a legacy for my kids. In this case, my students," Radford told FOX 26's Melissa Wilson. Radford is taking part in a study that uses herpes as a brain cancer treatment. Doctors say they believe herpes is a possible cure for glioma because it infiltrates the brain well. Dr. New at Methodist Hospital is the principal investigator in the study. She explains doctors can use herpes, or the common cold virus, as a "cargo ship" to carry a herpes virus gene into a patient's tumor. To carry out the unique procedure, a neurosurgeon injects the virus into the brain tumor during surgery. After which, the patient takes Valtrex, the oral medication that treats herpes. Valtrex kills off the virus, and as the herpes virus dies, it is also blasts the cancer cells, making them self-destruct. As part of Radford's treatment, she also completed chemotherapy and continues to undergo radiation. "I feel great. I have no side effects, no headaches. I occasionally take a Tylenol, but that's a pretty phenomenal thing," said Radford. Doctors say it's still too early to tell what Radford's outcome will be, but it's giving the teacher the hope she needs. She knows she's just a patient in a study, but she's confident by participating in it, it will help others in the future.

Huge HIV vaccine trial in SA Last updated: Friday, February 09, 2007 The world's first large-scale trial of a vaccine to protect against HIV - the virus that causes Aids - is set to begin in South Africa, BBC News reported. An international team of researchers will oversee the four-year trial, which will include 3 000 HIV-negative men and women, aged 18 to 35. Researchers hope the study will offer insight into how the vaccine works in heterosexuals and especially its effectiveness in women. During the trial, some participants will receive the vaccine and others will be given a placebo. All the participants will receive education about safer sex, BBC News reported. Reviewed and approved The study was reviewed by the US Food and Drug Administration and was approved by the South African Medicines Control Council and the South African Department of Agriculture. Even if this trial provides positive findings about the vaccine, created by the drug company Merck, further studies would have to be conducted before the vaccine can be licensed. There is no live HIV in the vaccine, which contains copies of three HIV genes. It's hoped that exposure to these genes will prompt the body's immune system to recognise and destroy cells that contain HIV, BBC News reported. – (HealthDayNews)

Just one in a never ending stream of disappointments I'm sure. Maybe you can impress her by stealing some stuff and telling her you actually only infringed it. -

Can I get a package deal on all those pirated DVDs you advertise in your signature? You would be saving on shipping. Do you pirate any other good stuff? How much optional tip do you want? I was thinking about zero or so. -
What round pick do you think it would take. With Parcells gone my guess is a thrid would do it. I think he would accept being a #2 receiver behind Evans.

I didn't start that. Pardon me if I can't sit by every time Artest gets mentioned for year after year. Also pardon me if I find it funny that you think JHC is Ed. -

You're all very funny with the picke juice references. Ha ha ha. You all accuse Ed of being fixated and you're right, but then you claim somehow to know that JHC is Ed. No way, no how. Ed is away on his honeymoon and JHC has been pwning you all. I bet anything when Ed gets back JHC stops posting just so you all think he was Ed the whole time. -
Doesn't that tie the record for most combined goals by two teams in a soccer game? Seriously, I have as much or more respect for old people than anyone, but couldn't a bunch of 87 year old women in wheelchairs with cholostomy bags have scored as many goals as Mexico did? Answer: Yes

Then Oakland must be seen as a joke because last year they wasted a pick on some dude whose nickname is "Mr. Irrelevant". Gotta be pretty bad to get that name. -
KKK becoming increasingly popular in the US By YANIV SALAMA-SCHEER The Ku Klux Klan has undergone a surprising and troubling resurgence in popularity in the United States due to the "hot-button issues including immigration, gay marriage and urban crime" the Anti-Defamation League has said. The ADL, which monitors the activities of the KKK as well as other racist groups and relays their findings to law enforcement and policymakers, view the recent increase in Klan activity in the U.S as troublesome, owing to the fact that the Klan has been relatively under the radar in recent years. "If any one single issue or trend can be credited with re-energizing the Klan, it is the debate over immigration in America," said Deborah M. Lauter, ADL Civil Rights Director. "Klan groups have witnessed a surprising and troubling resurgence by exploiting fears of an immigration explosion, and the debate over immigration has in turn helped to fuel an increase in Klan activity, with new groups sprouting in parts of the country that have not seen much activity." The KKK has taken advantage of the phobia Americans have developed for Muslim and Arab immigrants, as well as the growing anti-Immigrant feeling in the American south stemming from the overwhelming influx of illegal workers from Mexico. New hate groups have emerged, and have manifested themselves by holding anti-immigration rallies and recruitment drives. These groups have also been active in distributing racist literature with a new emphasis on the immigration issue and Hispanics, and have been able to effectively communicate with their supporters and publicize events through KKK sponsored sites on the internet. According to the ADL, the KKK believes that "America is drowning in a tide of non-white immigration, controlled and orchestrated by Jews, and is vigorously trying to bring this message to Americans concerned or fearful about immigration." While certain Klan "strongholds" such as Alabama, Arkansas Mississippi and Tennessee which are historically active communities have rapidly expanded in size, the emergence of new activity in Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania have created racial issues inside of communities that have been untroubled by such activity in the past. The KKK has also been cooperating with neo-Nazi groups based in National Socialist Movement. "Although some Klansmen may still hold cross-burnings dressed in robes and hoods, today's young Klansmen are more likely to look virtually indistinguishable from racist skinheads or neo-Nazis," Lauter added. "Today's Klansmen may be as likely to gather at white power music concerts or socialize at so-called 'unity rallies' with other white supremacists, as to participate in ritualistic cross burnings in the rural wilderness." The ADL has noted that Klan groups have become "Nazified" over recent years. Klan members are choosing to engross themselves in the neo-Nazi subculture. Between 2000 and 2005, hate groups mushroomed 33 percent and Klan chapters by 63 percent, according to Mark Potok, director of the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks hate crimes. Precise data is difficult to pinpoint, but Potok's group counts as many as 150 Klan chapters with up to 8,000 members nationwide. More than 800 hate groups exist around the country, Southern Poverty research shows. The FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting Program which deals with monitoring hate crimes throughout the US, has substantiated the claim made by the ADL based on their findings of an increase of hate crimes since 2004. According to the FBI study which was released in October 2006, 54% of hate crime violence is racially motivated, while 17% was motivated by religious bias and 13% was due to national origin.

Canadians is so dumb they can't even spell Center. C-E-N-T-E-R. There you go Rogers. Got it? I would have to hope that the NFL is not willing to sell a team to someone so blatently stupid.

This happens every day with Canadians flowing over our borders. This only made the news because of the lame excuse. We should stop ignoring this problem and build the fence. -
Lisa Nowak is an American hero and the press will make her sound crazy. At this point, even with all of my contacts, I cannot help her. She was right in the middle of fighting the good fight. Our side has lost a great ally.
