Opportunity missed before draft
ieatcrayonz replied to ieatcrayonz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To your points: Pac Man has had 6 arrests. 2.5 of these were clearly in error and he is all done with that stuff. He would play if he came to Buffalo because Goodell is from Jamestown. Playstation 2? I have not had one of those in 8 years. I am now using a Playstation 4 test machine direct from Sony's labs. -
Who does TBD want to see in Round 1?

Then argue with the board consensus, not with me. -
Opportunity missed before draft

The odds of Pac-Man playing again are probably about 75% and would be 95% if we got him, because Goodell is from Jamestown and would cut the Bills a break. The odds of picking a 4th rounder that would, like Pac Man, be one of the best in NFL history at his position, are.......let's say less than 95 %. -
Opportunity missed before draft

Last I checked players don't get to decide where they go and Tennessee would like our 4th better than Dallas'. And don't you think the thug thing is over by now? Statistics say it must be. -

It is pretty much a consensus on this board that our positional needs are: WR CB Owen Schmitt DE TE OL depth But you did not list either a TE or an Owen Schmitt. Why? -

You may have missed it, but Dallas got him yesterday with a lesser 4th than ours. -

And you can keep your dinner, because you can't cover the soup and salad for $700 at the places where I hang. -
The draft is all about opportunity. You are going to have some hits and misses no matter who you are. That means when a rare sure thing presents itself, you should grab it. If you were a team that had the positional needs: WR CB Owen Schmitt DE TE OL depth and you had the chance to use your FOURTH round pick not only to take one of those positions, but to fill it with a proven commodity, would you do it? Of course you would, but the Bills didn't. It is not even draft day and Brandon has failed his first test miserably. Pac Man Jones is a no brainer and we let him get away. Now we are on to the draft where we will inevitably have some hits and some misses. Like I said, everyone has hits and misses and Brandon should not be expected to be perfect. But I do think we as fans have the right to expect him to act on obvious situations like this. I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

Bills schedule reminds me of a college schedule.

Are those code words for "aging hippies"? God I hate hippies.
-
It is called a "sign and trade". It happens in the NBA all the time and the players are down with it. With Boldin and Evans we can play them off against each other contract-wise and sign whoever comes cheaper. We can draft a #2 wide receiver next year that way. It frees up this years draft for areas of need like CB,LB,Owen Schmitt,DL and LB.
-
Did you get to spray a bum? It wouldn't be as fun as spraying a hippie but still pretty good.
-
He wouldn't stay in Buffalo. That is the whole idea. We would trade him. Arizona probably has cap problems due to Boldin until they trade him. Edgerrin James is even older than Alexander. It is a good fit for everyone.

You really could have combined items 3 and 4 quite easily. -
If we had this 40 years ago and called it the hippie-bot, the world would be a much better place. Link

Wikipedia and Global Warming
ieatcrayonz replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
But the other guy who said he talked to Peiser is ok. This makes sense to me. The other guy said it first. And it would be total BS if Peiser tried to refute it himself too. He should not be able to take back what the first guy said he said especially if what the guy said he said makes the crisis look worse. I for one am sick of all this arguing and think we should start killing mammals so that humans may live. I think Wikipedia sitting around all day and squashing any arguments against this theory is a really good idea as long as it helps us solve the problem. If people want to argue against it they should start their own site called: Idontbelieveinglobalwarmingsoletthemammalsliveipedia -
Maybe this is just wishful thinking on my part. I won't be able to take all of the TV commercials for the next two weeks.
-
That's more of a baseball tactic. I'm not saying it is a bad idea, but it may confuse some GMs to have a baseball tactic and a basketball tactic in the same trade. This is a busy week for these guys and if they get confused they may just blow the whole thing off.
-
Not unless we give him a big signing bonus. Sign him to a back end loaded contract and then package him in a deal. It is called a "sign and trade". It is done a lot in the NBA but not too much in the NFL. In the NBA, it is usually done by the guy's previous team like the Seahawks would be. Now they they have cut him, anything goes.
-
I don't really care about them burning up their junk. They were probably just trying to keep warm.
-
365 is not divisible by 3. They could only take 1 1/3 years each during leap years. And don't think they wouldn't argue over the extra day.
-
You can whine and complain and try to get him run out of town in favor of a glove wearing Mary.
-
Do you think if we signed Shaun Alexander and then packaged him in a trade for Boldin it would work? Maybe Alexander and a 4th rounder?
