"Canadian plan." Good one. Unless "bumbling through life" just became considered a plan, I don't think we have to worry.

When you have an anti-trust exemption, you don't have competitors. Thus, the rule.

Is Bush from the family that makes the baked beans? To be fair you should include Kerry in there because there is no way he marries tha hag without all of the ketchup money. They should definitely have a requirement that all senators and presidents are rich and not from inheritance or marriage. This way no poor people get in there trying to steal money and none of the frat boy types get in either. People like John Edwards who got rich by bilking his clients out of 33% because he got them money from corportations so they didn't care about a third are the type of people we need running the show. I don't think you can do it in the house though because no way can 400 + people figure out how to be really good scheisters like Edwards.

Does the rich guy even have to look up a link for you so you can give to charity? I guess the poor really ARE lazy.

Dude he asked Obama a legitimate question which Obama answered in a communistic way. This was right in front of a camera. I seriously doubt Obama wanted any on camera communism before the election. Even if Obama should have known there would always be a camera nearby, this "plumber" should still keep his mouth shut. Who does he think he is talking to? The bottom line is that the guy deserves to have his life examined in the national media and to have his kneecaps busted. How did McCain use the guy? He can look like a stupid old man just fine without the help of a plumber.
-
That's good because he crossed Obama. People who get in the way of Obama making this country less mean spirited should have their lives put under a microscope and have their kneecaps broken. How dare this guy ask a loaded question like that to Obama. Obama's answer that he wants to "spread the wealth around" should be ignored if this guy turns out to not be a plumber. He didn't really mean it for anyone except plumbers.

John McCargo was on the table but the table broke. It was one of Peterson's favorite tables so the deal was off. -

McGargo to Colts for a draft pick

It has nothing to do with the fines. I'm sure those are being paid. The Feds are looking pretty bad right now with the economic turmoil and my guess is that they didn't want to look even worse. They probably didn't report this as a Sox violation because if it looked like the NFL was trying to get around Sox then others might try. One big bank trying to get around Sox because the NFL did would make the markets very jittery. The quieter the better for the Feds. Behind closed doors Goodell is getting lambasted by the Feds over this. You may have noticed that the return of McCargo has been pretty hush hush. ESPN is spending a lot of cycles on "reaction" to the Roy Williams trade which was done on time but little to none on a reversal like this. The whole thing with Pacman is also a smokescreen that is starting to unravel as you can see. -
Obama wants to punish your success!

Dude I have started many businesses and none of them have failed. When you are in my income level there is very little risk. But I am really not a fair comparison. The guy you describe has no guarantee that his income will go from 50k to 150k. It may go from 50k to 0k. He might risk trying for the 150k if he got to keep 125k but not risk if he knew he'd only keep 100k. Most people that start their own businesses do not have multiple billions like me. If their income goes from 50k to 0k after trying something, they can't just walk down to the safe in the auxiliary Italian marble storage area, pop in the combo and grab a few 100k in case they need it for the weekend like me. They need to shelter their kids. They might be averse to risk and more taxes would make them even more averse. Don't get me wrong, I like Obama's plan because it keeps these peons out and allows me to make even more, but I'm just saying you are missing the point. -

I wonder if in his dream Trent sucks all year long just like Flutie did and has to have the defense win every game by holding teams to 3 points. -

I'd be interested to find out if you are sticking with this claim after the trade was reversed because McCargo "failed his physical". It's a pretty big coincidence that this got reported late and was summarily reversed don't you think? -
That page said the Sun is in an unusually quiet phase. Is it running out of gas? It looks like global cooling has already set in. We might have to crank up the SUVs to combat it. Cool pictures.

Dude you are missing the point. Entities with anti-trust exemptions have to adhere to the rules of public companies. Even before you get to the Packers thing that seals it. But if you had to go to the fact that the Packers are public, that would also obligate the other teams under the equal protection act of the Constitution. -

Sox forces timely and accurate disclosure. The word "timely" is one that is subject to interpretation. IMO, the NFL, Bills and Colts are walking a fine line here for reporting an hour or two late. In the other thread, people were claiming that trades might be reported the next day. That is in no way timely and the Feds would be all over it. A couple of hours late may still be considered timely, but since Polian worked for the Bills at one time, there will be worries about collusion. The Packers being public really doesn't come into play. Like I said before, the NFL is considered a public company because of their anti-trust exemption and must comply. The Packers are merely one of 33 holy owned subsidiaries consisting of the 32 teams and the administrative functions of the league. -
Both the Dallas trade for Roy Williams and the non-trade of Tony Gonzalez were reported almost exactly at 4. But I suppose this has nothing to do with Sarbanes Oxley right?
