I do think the Bills would address OL if they traded Peters for a pick. You have to remember that one of the first things the new regime did was to sign Walker and Dockery. Although it did not work out with Dockery, he was highly regarded. In one day, they spent a ton of money on 40% of the line. I think the drafting of Bell was an attempt to again catch lightning in a bottle a la Peters. It is ok to try something like that and I think we all hope it works. IF Dockery had worked out and Peters was happy with his contract, we would be in pretty good shape at OL and looking to draft a Center and depth. That didn't happen but not all plans work. I think Levy/Jauron at least had a plan. Donahoe did not fully address the line at all. Parrish/Everett? That is a lot worse than McKelvin. If Peters is gone for a #1 though, you simply have to draft a top flight LT prospect and/or sign a bridge player like Pace. The Bills will realize this. With respect to DBs I don't share your opinion. I think each of our drafted DBs have been a result of looking at the roster, the defensive schemes and contract situations. We drafted Whitner because we had an absolute void there and a player like him is needed in Jauron's preferred defense. You can certainly convince me that the Cover 2 is not our best choice, but if the cover two is a given, a Whitner is needed. McKelvin is very talented and the status of our DB contracts entering 08 helped dictate that this was a reasonable pick. I know McGee's contract is up and I doubt we'll pay him enough, but I also think the Bills will see the bigger picture this draft. We may draft a DB sooner than you'd like...maybe in the 4th or even 3rd, but we won't use a high pick there unless a real stud safety drops into round 2.

I think the team that gets Cutler has a better than 50/50 chance of getting good value for their trade. With 6 or more teams in the mix, Denver will get a lot of picks with some being pretty high. Cutler has talent and my guess is that his feelings towards being disrespected are genuine. He is not the first to feel this way aboout how Bellichick and his team treat their players. Branch, Law, and Milloy jump immediately to mind. Denver may have been set back even if they get value. Who is their current 2nd stringer? I can't imagine any team packaging a viable NFL starter and meeting Denver's overall demands. I suppose a trade including Jason Campbell is possible given Snyder's fascination with "big moves". I don't think Cutler makes sense for the Bills. Maybe a year from now he would. Trent Edwards is not a perfect QB but he has shown sgns of being efficient and offers continuity to the Bills. That is something which is desperately needed. He deserves to be the starter for 2009.

I agree with you about setting the priority on the line. I don't think the Bills have done enough of that. I'm not so sure I agree that we simply need to pay Peters a huge salaray and hope he will put more effort into 2009. To me, that seems to put a lot of our future into hoping for the best. When we had guys like Hull and House, we knew they were coming to play. Those guys had talent and desire in equal measure. It was obvious. The talent is obvious with Peters, but the heart is not. I would like to see the Bills get Waters and then do some serious drafting along the OL. I'd like to see 2 of the 1st 4 picks be OL. With Peters, I am of the opinion that you have to look at all options. You can only do your best in guessing how he'd prepare and play if tons of money were to be thrown at him. If they think he'll step up, then sign him. If not, I'd prefer a trade to letting him pout and play poorly for two years. If they pay him and they're wrong about his work ethic, then we will be in a long term bind. Be careful Bills.

I don't think the Bills will go QB at 11 either. To defend Lombardi though, the Bills have drafted for need in the recent past. Maybe he looked at our need positions and went from there. It makes sense if you look at it that way. I agree that the Bills will and should go with best available player with their pick this year. That will not be a QB.

I just hope we get some easy games like the Lions.

That quote is more like Benito Muscatelli than Hitler. It's not good either way, but we should be accurate. -

That is very perceptive of you. When you read the entire story, it is very easy to tell what really happened. The kid is most likely the culprit of the fart. He is only at the school because he was a trouble maker to begin with and now there is more trouble. One look at the father tells you that there are going to be some awful smelling farts coming from him and his offspring. Even a skinny kid like that can drop some real bombs if they have that kind of gastro-intestinal lineage. Now imagine you're the bus driver. You have drawn the short straw and are in the process of transporting the punk kids to their punk school. You are already on edge from these punks, you're not even smart enough to use the word "stink" in a sentence and one of these punks rips one out that makes the paint peel off the bus walls. You've had enough and kick the kid off your bus. In the big picture a fart is not really a big deal. Yes, if it were a cow fart or that of another mammal it would contribute to global warming. This is a human fart so there is no long term problem, only a short term smell. The bus driver probably should have either just let it go or maybe retaliated with his own chili-for-lunch induced counter attack. Was is a rash decision? It probably was. But it is still understandable. -
I am hoping for a five way tie at zero because Brady is not ready on time and because there is no trade. We can't afford to have a QB that whines to the coach. Let me rephrase that. We can't afford to have a QB that whines about the coach. There. Now we're ok.

Now if he could just schedule the worst defense in the history of organized sports every time it got a little nippy out we'd be all set. That plus hope Jackson runs 82 yards of an 85 yard "TD pass". -

As I stated in the other thread, I'm pretty sure it is just that his teleprompter was made in Canada.

That teleprompter must have been made in Canada because the Prez sure is saying stupid things.

She is the attractive young woman who is pictured in my profile section. As with many young women, it is possible that she has taken a lover. Spring is here and this is often the time of year for such things. It saddens me to report this, but I have to be realistic. I hope she returns to post here again. -
Sbarro in 7 minutes? You're lucky if the people behind the counter wake up in 7 minutes.

Jay Cutler: I got a stronger arm then John Elway
ieatcrayonz replied to Yasin's BILLS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trent Edwards has too much class to claim his arm is stronger than Elway's. Either that or a solid grasp on reality. -
Leigh Bodden "one of the best cover corners in the NFL"

That's the point. Chad doesn't remember anything because he was knocked out. Is this a schtick where you act like you're Canadian? And of course there are "average Canadians". That's just like there are average contestants on Rock of Love. They are average within their own group only. -

Well I think you proved my point about "extra dumb", but you didn't make yourself look any smarter. Myers and Carrey are both dudes so your assertion is impossible. Plus, if you think they are "fine" please keep that to yourself.
