Or maybe we give the Jets, Packers and Vikings a Jewish QB and give the rest of their divisions Mormon DEs.

Dude he wasn't drafted until this year. The bottom line is that you should go to college with a goal in mind. When you achieve that goal it should be sayonara. Bill Gates left to start Microsoft. Michael Dell left to start a PC company. I think Compaq. The bottom line is that, when you're done, you're done. Some people take longer than others. LeBron James was done before he started, Gates and Dell had a couple years. Admittedly sometimes it takes longer. Some kids go off to Ithaca and their goal is to gain first hand knowledge of the female body. This might not happen in four years. Then there is a Masters, then a PhD, then a Doctorate and maybe even Grad schoool after that. If the goal hasn't been achieved even once, you stay at school until some chick gets drunk enough or come up with a new strategy. Byrd had 3 and a half years and that should be it. He got drafted. Time to cut ties.

Dude he is a professional now, not a college kid. He can blow off finals and quit school. He was at the school for football anyway.

Asperatus Clouds, A New Cloud Type Discovered.

Dude Vincent Van Gogh was a long time ago. I have as much or more respect for old people than anyone but they are way too brain dead to predict the future. There is no way he could have predicted global warming in paintings. -
If he was dedicated he would tell the NCAA to stick it since he doesn't need them any more. I hope this does not turn into McCargo level laziness.

Clearly this poll's question is tough to answer. I am interested to see if the TBD and PPP populations come up with the same answer. Please vote in only one place.

Stern's coronation of Kobe takes an unexpected reminder slam from a surprise source. Manny Ramirez: Manny doesn't want to play second fiddle in LA I guess. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4246848

Dude this is the story line.

Obama made a very nice speech in Egypt the other day. He decided to apply pressure to Al Quaeda with nice words. They have now bombed a future US Consulate site in Pakistan. That was not a very nice thing to do although if there was construction needed to convert it from a hotel, AQ may have saved us some money. I am not very political but I have to say a Los Gatos attitude has no place in foreign policy or NFL QBing. Do you guys think Obama move away from the Los Gatos approach soon or will it take a while? I think he is smart, but I'm not sure how smart. The sooner the better. I wish I could say the same for Brandon/Jauron.

Donte Whitner having some lady troubles
ieatcrayonz replied to SageAgainstTheMachine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem with these little DBs is that you get a few drinks in them and they have a problem. Linemen on the other hand can drink and drink and drink because of their size. If we had only drafted a lineman instead of Whitner we would not have a team alcohol problem. -

It is difficult to believe in something so wonderful that you have never seen or experienced. Let me put your mind at ease on two points: 1. Although I have never seen God, I have spoken to him via Googlebot. Any time you'd like to ask him something just let me know. I will relay the questions and let you know the answers. He has a few rules. You are not allowed to ask about the future, like lottery numbers or something, and you are also not allowed to ask "why" about anything. This offer is open to anyone on the board. 2. I can confirm that certain female body parts you have never seen or experienced are in fact real. You can believe in them kid. Maybe someday you'll see one too. -

A couple of things about that are indeed fishy. 1. I doubt he was totally naked. I'm sure he was wearing a t-shirt. I just wonder what it said. 2. Karate guys can sometimes put themselves in a state of suspended animation. Clearly he had suspended himself so he was at least halfway there. Maybe he got the whole way and is still alive. I sure hope he doesn't wake up 6 feet underground. That would be a tough way to go.

Predicting the Patriots to win is one thing as is predicting the Lakers to win. Predicting their victory on the basis of an injury to a key Celtic is quite another. Keep my predictions. You'll learn the fast way or the slow way. The slow way is fine.
-
I predicted that a key member of the Celtics would go down with "injury". Then it happened. I also predicted Big Brown would be "injured" before having to face the good older horses. That also happened. In each case it keeps the "injured" party's reputation intact and increases the money making chances for ownership. You decide how real the injuries were. Think with your brain, not your heart. My predictions were very specific and you are convincing yourself they were vague. I should have been able to see it would be Garnett because he is a bigger excuse than Pierce or Allen so I could have been more specific then. How could I have predicted both injuries if they were real? The fake ones are the easy ones to predict. I predicted the Lakers would face the Magic or the Hawks. There is another one that came true. How many people said Lakers/Magic or Lakers/Hawks in February? I will admit I thought the Cavs might make it for a while but I never flat out said they would. I was unsure. I got confused by the story line of LeBron's frustration. LeBron will not win until 11-12. 0% chance. He will either be a Knick or a Cav in 10-11 and 11-12. 60% chance of Cav IMO. 0% chance of any other team. His non-handshaking, non-press conference are just the beginning and they were well scripted. I didn't see that coming. In 10-11 there will be some heart wrenching story and a one time flukish champion. The Finals next year are set as Bos-LA and may even be played legitimately. It will probably go 7 and I would lean toward LA having home court and winning. In summary everything I have said well in advance has come true. They were not all "easy" predictions as you try to say. You know this. I have made predictions moving well into the future. For my final prediction I will say they will all come true and that you will still not believe the NBA is fixed. That is exactly what Stern wants. As for predicting the BOS/LA of 07-08 I did not. I did not try to make any predictions that year but if I tried I would have probably gotten it wrong. This is because it was the beginning of a story line so it was much harder to predict. Once the story gets going, that is when it gets easier and why I knew someone on the Celtics would get "injured". The beginning of the LeBron story line confused me this year too. That one I should have been able to figure out because it wasn't really the very beginning but just an early chapter.

I can't answer all of your stuff because it is too rambling but I will answer a few of them. Technically I told you before it happened. And then it happened. Stern would have had Kobe face a few post-Shaq failures and then rise up to win sooner, perhaps even beat Shaq's team in the Finals. The problem with doing it sooner is that Kobe's actions reflected poorly on the NBA and Stern had to wait a few years so everyone would forget what Kobe did to that woman. It is sort of like everyone forgetting that Hulk Hogan was once a bad guy. Not exactly, but sort of. Stern could not control that the original incident happened but he could wait it out. The Spurs are indeed a curious case and you are correct in pointing them out. It must be that someone in or around San Antonio has something on Stern. Nothing else makes sense. No other teams from markets like that are ever allowed to win. Teams not allowed to win: Pacers even though they have traditionally been a well run franchise. Toronto Cleveland Milwaukee Orlando Atlanta Charlotte Washington Dallas New Orleans Memphis Denver Portland Utah Minnesota OK City Phoenix Golden State Clippers Kings NJ until they move Their only shot is in 10-11. That is over two thirds of the league.
-
Yes. 4-1 if you call it winning. I also predicted that Hulk Hogan would win a couple of Wrestlemania Main Events.
-
If you haven't figured it out, I'm not sure explaining it will help, but I will try. It is really all about maximizing the profit over the long haul. If Boston and LA made the Finals again this year, it would be a two year story line. When the Finals were over, the story would be over as well. The way it is set up now, the NBA accomplishes two things: For the 08-09 season, with the fake injury to Garnett, the Celtics have a "legitimate" excuse. This sets up the 09-10 season and a third year of milking profits from easily duped fans. It also allows for Kobe Bryant to get a championship without Shaq, which is a continuation/end of an older story line. This would have happened sooner, if Kobe had not, well, you know. Anyway, everyone has forgotten that and Stern knows it. The selection of Denver as the other Western Conference Finalist cemented that angle. With the C's healthy next year both teams will have a good run to the Finals. As I stated in my original post, it may even be allowed to be played as a legitimate series as long as it goes 7. Additionally, the Orlando entry into the Finals as a pawn allows for the beginning of the LeBron story which will be the next major headline grabber. Having these stories overlap is one of Stern's best tricks. When the Lakers/Celtics story fades, the LeBron story will hit center stage. The only thing that goes on and on is the revenue train. LeBron will win either in NY or Cleveland in 11-12. The 10-11 season is likely to see either a crazy longshot win it or some heart tugging story like a member of the winning team having suffered a great personal tragedy. Dismiss this if you will but you have already seen my "prediction" come true, complete with the fake injury. You will also watch the other predictions come true. You can wait until then to believe and continue being fooled by Stern or you can believe me now and watch and laugh.

Oh, Look. My "prediction" has come true. What a shock!!!!!! Ask yourself this: How can someone perfectly predict the outcome on a professional sports league 4 months ahead and have this prediction include the reason the defending champs would be eliminated? Answer: The league is fixed. How else can it be explained? Want me to do it again? Keep in mind I've already told you the Finals matchup for 09-10. New "prediction": LeBron's staged act of fake pouting at the end of the Magic/Cavs series will lead to mass speculation about him leaving Cleveland. Cleveland will make the playoffs next year and be eliminated easily in the second round. There will be a lot of turmoil about LeBron going to the Knicks. There are only two chances left for what will happen: He will either go to the Knicks or become a major hero by staying in Cleveland. Either way LeBron will win a championship in the 11-12 season as 10-11 will be a rebuilding year. The NBA is hedging their bets right now and either the Knicks or Cleveland could still end up the winner but he will go where Stern wants. Most people think it is the former but due to heavy Chinese investment in the Cavs I think it will be the ladder. I don't think the plans are 100% done yet, but they'll be done in plenty of time. What gets me mad is that a dirt bag like Kobe is about to be handed a championship. He couldn't do it on his own and the NBA needs a west coast start so boom, down goes Garnett and in comes Kobe. It's sick.

Well, now you are confusing me. I don't think you're going to be a good TV producer if you yourself are unable to control your emotions. On our show we simply must demand that cops control their emotions in a matter of seconds. If not, they must lose their jobs and they must also be relentlessly mocked. No line can be drawn between the mocking and the loss of job. They must be seen as one and the same. Furthermore, all cops must be lumped together like "animals in a habitat". You are doing a good job at that part. Now a TV producer doesn't have to control his emotions nearly as quickly, but over a multiple-day period he must. If he doesn't, he runs the slight risk of coming off as a rambling vendetta bent moron who is completely unable to use reading comprehension to understand what other people are writing. A little of this is good because the object of the show is to distort reality, but too much of this just exposes the producer as the vendetta driven moron I mentioned above. Do you think you can control your emotions long enough to read and understand a paragraph or two?
-
Dude, I'm not an enabler. Like you, I enjoy judging people and classifying them as animals based on 11 seconds of their lives. It is not enough that they lose their jobs. They need to be called animals and I am glad you are here to do it. You have just settled on the wrong format with the comedy. It needs to be a more serious format. It needs to be one that leaves the viewer angry and bitter, not laughing. It needs a producer who sees everything in black and white. It should be someone who has very few reading comprehension skills or ability to interpret film because that may help them understand reality and reality just gets in the way. It needs someone who is unable to understand that there is a difference between stepping over a line when full of emotion and "being an animal". It needs someone whose mind, by their own admission, drifts away from the facts in an effort to keep up the vitriol against the cops. Ideally it would be someone who displays an irrational hatred for all cops, and thinks they are all "animals in a habitat". Who knows why they're irrational, the important part is that they are. It should be easy to find someone because people with attitudes like that are everywhere since it is the easy way out.

You have parted ways not only with me, but with reality. Are you also strung out on whatever that driver was smoking? The officers have already been held accountable by losing their jobs. The show is about mocking them and pounding into the heads of society that we demand super human behavior for $60k a year. It is not enough for them to sacrifice their livliehood, they must also be humiliated and called animals by faceless dimwits. The show is about the humiliating part. The firing part is already done. The city can take care of that every time. In order to be really idealistic, we need to call the cops animals, preferably in every public forum possible. You have given it a good start, but a reality show will go much farther. If you have it be a comedy show, you lose the outrage we should all have that cops displayed emotion a full 25 seconds after their friend was left for dead. Only on a secondary note is the show is about the perp. And you don't need to burn your mouth on coffee to get rich. You just need to strung out on your drug of choice and drive around town trying to kill people. We could probably have a whole separate show about that.
