  1. No doubt the government i a disaster, but a company offsetting its revenue with expenses is neither a technicality or a 'loop hole'.

The government gets away with this crap so easily because people regurgitate sensationalized headlines and meaningless cliches rather than understanding the issue.

Please explain how BP reporting legal business expenses in the calculation of their tax liabilities fits that definition in any way.

    Don't stop him. He's on a roll.

  2. I've got my work caught up, so I started to think of other Cher song titles that I could use for today's political threads.

President Obama --- "If I Could Turn Back Time"

    Elizabeth Warren --- "Half-Breed"

Sandra Fluck --- "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)"

    Middle-Class Americans ---- "Believe"

    .

You sure know a lot of Cher songs.

  3. I sell homeopathic baby, there is not one atom of baby in it which makes it all the stronger because the more you dilute it the stronger it gets, send your money now it cure whart ails ye - btw I call bull **** on the whole story.

    Why don't you believe it?

  4. Agreed.

Remember his tribute to Sean Taylor after which Joe Gibbs admitted he didn't even know the defense was gonna do that?

Remember after Gibbs stepped down, Greg(g) threw his hat in the ring and was interviewed 4 times by Snyder?

Then after all that, Snyder ended up hiring Jim Zorn.

I generally don't like enjoying other people's misfortunes but I have to admit that I found that hilarious.

There's just something about Greg(g) that I never liked.

I hope they send him a letter 5 years from now that notifies him the bounty suspension has been lifted but that he is now suspended for life for "douchebaggery".

  5. Couldn't agree more. The existence of a complicated self-defense case in this country, of which the facts remain largely unkown, precludes me from taking any position whatsoever on poisoning school girls. Afterall, if one citizen of my nation possibly committed a crime then who are we to judge anything no matter how black and white or heinous? Can we really speak ill of the Holocaust knowing one man in Florida shot a teenager, allegedly in self-defense?

Better check with Birddog. I'm pretty sure he'll see this whole thing as gray.

  6. Info about the Cleveland wanna-be bombers.

Bunch of scholars. Look at the first mug shot

You can march all you want, but as soon as you touch any one or any property, you should get the wood shampoo and the pepper spray rinse.

Five men charged with plotting to bomb a bridge linking two wealthy Cleveland suburbs

People should read with a more discerning eye. Wealthy? Cleveland? Two? Really?

And somehow this wasn't a planted story? Common man, think while you read.

I don't even know where to begin making fun of those people qouted in the article. There's too many options.

    I'll start:

In a one-hour recording of a Friday evening general assembly meeting of the group posted on its website http://occupycleveland.com/live-stream/, occupy leaders expressed concern about Anthony Hayne's name being on the lease, which strengthens his link to the group.

"We have a person facing terrorism charges on the lease of our warehouse," said one of the leaders. "If this gets into the media, it would be a disaster."

They were worried about the info getting out to the media so they had a meeting to strategize: OK I guess.

They filmed the meeting: Bad idea Paris Kardashian.

They posted the film to the internet already knowing they were under scrutiny: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:

If this didn't involve knowing how to use a video recorder and how to post things on the internet I would have thought these people were Canadian level dumb.

BTW....That is the only part of the article I have even read so far.....I hope it doesn't get stupider.

  8. There were like 3 suicides of ex NHL players this summer.

And it just goes to show you that no matter what you have or what you achieved, depression doesn't discriminate. I love the big hits and hate the way the game is becoming flag football, but this shos that they do need to continue with the changes. RIP Seau and if you are honestly making jokes about this, you're a sad human being.

I was not making a joke. I don't know why you thought that. I was just trying to say that I did remember a baseball suicide which was a question/point from a previous poster.

  9. I just posted on a previous post how my wife wants me to clean the turtle tank. Aquatic turtle.

What can I do about the green algae? Not the cleaning part. Controlling the cloudyness.

I'm now at the point of cleaning this sucker every 7-10 days. The filter is working properly. In fact the water is clean. Its just the green coloration that makes the tank look unattractive. Like I didnt sign up for this.

Most people dont have turtles. I think I know why.

I've been doing this for a year. I'm almost ready to call it quits.

    Any advice.

Enter him in a race against a rabbit and make sure to get really really good odds. Bet TONS. It will help if it is an arrogant rabbit.

  10. I am telling you right now, Ron Brooks is going to be a major talent at the NFL level. This guy would have been a premiere corner on any other major college program in the Nation and he is going to turn a lot of heads around here. Seriously loving our DB's right now. I loved the Byrd pick 2 years ago on draft night and I loved Aaron Williams pick last year (once I got over the initial disappointment of not taking Mallet...although I am still perplexed we didn't grab Mallet in round 3)and love the Gilmore pick this year. I think both young corners have a tremendous ceiling and now you add Ron Brooks into the mix who I think could prove to be a very good DB in this league and we have the makings of one helluva young secondary with Byrd as well.

Add in McGee and those are 4 very good corners IMO going into this season. They may bring Ron along more slowly than Gilmore simply based on the combination of the Vets we have (McGee and Florence) and his draft slot as Gilmore I think is penciled in as a day 1 starter unless he fails to impress and struggles in camp.

Man, even as I write this I just can not help be get giddy with excitement over the potential of this D. It is still premature, but this D has the potential, talent wise, to be one of the best in the league as soon as this year and for years to come. We are suddenly very deep at DB, have talented safeties, drafted some very intriguing young LB prospects that have the potential to challenge for reps early, and have what I believe is the best front 4 in the NFL right now, at least from a talent perspective (still gotta prove it on the field).

Byrd and Wilson holding down the safeties spots...two young physical corners in Williams and Gilmore...a proven vet and a physical Brooks coming in on nickel and dime packages, Barnett leading the young LB's and Dareus and Kyle pushing the middle and Mark and Mario flying off the edges...holy sh*t that sounds bad ass! Then there is still the additional wild card of a healthy Merriman and being able to rotate him around the DE and OLB spots to bring more heat...

Wow, this FO has completely transformed this D fast! Again, its premature, but on paper I am like holy sh*t the potential is high!

I was getting excited about Brooks until your Mallet comments made me doubt your evaluation skills. Mallet is a crack head with the speed of Frankenstein. If you can name one crack head that runs like Frankenstein in the NFL Hall of Fame I will revise my opinion. Until then my guess is that Brooks will suck.

  11. Sad news. This stuff really doesn't happen in sports like baseball (at least to this extent).

I don't remember a whole lot of suicides in any sport. There was the retired football player just lsat week but the only other one I remember was Donnie Moore, a baseball player.

  12. There must be more to this story than meets the eye, otherwise it just makes no sense to me. Was the ticket signed by the purchaser? I know there are different lotteries, but from what I understand that's the only way to prove ownership of the ticket. If she didn't sign it, how does the judge know it belongs to the woman who claims she threw it away? How did the woman who found it in the trash know it was a winner? Just pure luck? This is very odd, but there has to be one BIG piece of information missing from this story, otherwise I don't see how the judge can order the woman to give the cash back to the woman who claims to have purchased the ticket originally.

The way I see it you have two choices:

    1. Web show investigative report.

    2. Somehow find Steely and give him 14.2 seconds to figure out the whole thing and type up a post.

  13. so you're not arguing that things really aren't gray and that things are black and white? you're saying that recognizing that things are gray doesn't fit your political beliefs.

I think that is a quintuple negative but I will try to answer what I think may or may not be your question definitely possibly.

When something is black liberals see gray.

When something is gray liberals see gray.

When something is white, liberals see gray.

When liberals see gray they look for reasons that someone else should do all the work and that any benefits of the work should be split evenly.

This applies to most, not all, liberals.

When something is black conservatives see black.

When something is gray conservatives see gray.

When something is white conservatives see white.

When something is black, gray or white conservatives look for ways to produce something from the black, gray or white and extract profit from it. Let's say their work and investment create 50% of the output. They want 100% of the profit if at all possible. If they need to allow others to profit so the others keep working and the gravy train keeps rolling, they will, but they will never ever ever settle for less than 51% of the profit created from their 50% of the input. The closer to 100% the better.

This is true of most conservatives, not all.

When commies see black, gray or white they don't really care what color they see. They want to trick people into thinking it is whatever color gets them the most power and allows them to work only at flapping their gums and showing off how smart they are and demonstrating why they should make decisions for everyone else. This is true for all commies.

When capitalists see black, gray or white they don't really care what color they see. They try to maximize the output from the black, gray and white resources realizing they are operating in an environment that should be controlled by supply, demand and the rule of law. They do not try to change the rule of law so they can produce 51% of profit from 50% of the work. They realize that ultimately supply, demand and truth will trump even the rule of law so they work within confines they do not control. This is true for all capitalists.

Unfortunately there are far far far more conservatives, liberals and commies than there are capitalists.

  14. sure, to believe in that ideal (the good of the many, not your misapplied paraphrase) necessarily means you're a nazi or espouse fascism. geez, that really deserves a forehead slap. seems, at its extremes more in line with another german political philosopher whom the nazi's despised. yet, you see a striking similarity.

uh huh...it's liberals who are the dualists, seeing life in black and white and never gray.

I am not too political but you'd have to be numb not to notice that liberals are laaaaaaaaazy. This good of the many crap simply means "wouldn't it be nice if I slept all day and presented myself as needy and other people paid for all my crap?". Liberals want everything to be gray because if it is you they can make an excuse for laziness in just about anything.
