Hate Crime Bill Discussion
ieatcrayonz replied to IDBillzFan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I think anyone who commits murder should automatically get life so that wouild solve any discrepancies with "hate murders" versus "regular murders". I am wondering about what lower level crimes might be included and that has me worried. Are stupid people categorized as a group? If you can be punished for duping stupid people out of their money our whole economy is going to come crashing down. How about mockery? Sometimes mockery can motivate someone to do better. Sometimes when you mock a stupid person they can see they need to improve and they do. Yes, some are almost as hopeless as Canadians and mocking them would be mean, but some people are motivated in different ways. Can you mock illegal aliens like Canadians because they started it by showing up here ilegally in the first place? There are more questions than answers. -
I am not an Edwards fan and think his stinkiness had nothing to do with his concussion, but it sure would be nice to be wrong about that. If I'm wrong, then he has a chance to make it. Either way, these concussions are a bad deal and I hope he never ever gets another one.

I am not a terrorist sympathizer because I realize humans are better than animals. Don't get me wrong, I realize that humans are not perfect and I won't defend terrorists or cry when they are killed. And yes, it is hard to see the difference between a mammal and a Canadian at times, but mammals are animals and people are not. Don't get me wrong, I think cows, deer, dogs, frogs, birds and other mammals can be beautiful and do not suport killing them in a cruel way, but if they must die so that we may live, so be it. -
I don't know the dude in post 32 and I never pay attention to Beerboy.

Day 1 of the NBA set up the Stern storylines perfectly. Of course we knew that the Laker/Celtics finals would be set up. One game doesn't matter but to have Celts/Cavs scheduled for the opener was perfect. We're supposed to believe a computer randomly generated that one for the opener? Now when the Celts are winning in the playoffs, the networks can go "all the way back" to opening night and show the "foreshadowing". What a joke. The Lakers get a patsy to get their defense of the title rolling. The Clipper curse continues with the fake injury to their top pick. It seems like Stern is leaning one way on where LeBron will end up next year. I'm not sure this is set in stone and there will be a lot of back and forth to get the masses engaged, but I am starting to think this is his last year in Cleveland. They actually called him for carrying the ball. Are they serious with that? When is the last time an NBA superstar got called for carrying? Two days after the ref strike ends and you don't think that call was straight from the mind of Stern? If you look closely, when LeBron complains it looks like the ref says "This wouldn't happen in a large market big man". It is still possible Stern is just trying to pry more money from the new chinese owners of the Cavs and will let LeBron stick around but I think he'll try to extract money on both fronts.

You are sick. Sammy is pretty safe because there is a lot of security around here, but house pets everywhere should be on high alert. Scroll doen to the 9th post and beware of large felines.

He's gonna sue that gate for everything it has because he doesn't have to follow the rules. -
I'll bet house pets have longer memories of things certain owners did to them.

It is a type of spandex but only for bike nerds. It stands for: Let Your Cycle Run Amok They think it makes them cool even though they had no prayer of playing real sports when they were in school. Unfortunately for these post modern hippies there is also another acronym which applies: Hey everyone move over really readily or have appendages get eradicated -

Some of those tubbys are indeed on their way to get Big Macs while others are actually producing for a society that builds the roads you have taken over. Some of these drivers, unlike bicyclists, might even understand concepts of physics like mass, velocity and momentum. They are not spandex wearing Marys pedaling where they don't belong just looking for an opportunity to disrupt and whine. Some of them have jobs which require them to drive to their place of business. Some of them might even work for spandex companies. You wouldn't want to make them late for work as it might delay the release of this fall's fuschia/chartreuse color pallettes. As a matter of fact some of them might not even be tubbies at all. Some might be in shape due to their manly occuapations or participation in manlier sports than biking. By manlier sports than biking I mean stuff like soccer, badminton, curling and pretty much all other sports not requiring streamline clothing. Of course cycling doesn't require goofy clothing but it might help you get that 7:00 minute mile instead of 7:01. -

Your post highlights who is really at fault. It is the government's for being a bunch of Los Gatos and not standing up to the bicylists. The "main roads" were physically designed for cars, not bikes. Some roads have added a bike lane to pander to the spandex mafia. When there is no bike lane, there should be no bikes. It is a matter of physics. If bikes cannot go the proper speed, cannot stop in a timely manner and have physical characteristics different from the cars for which the road was designed, then they have no business on the roads. The cyclists belong on neighborhood roads, period. It is a matter of safety for the bicyclist. Talking about cars driving defensively is a joke. If there is a gnat flying at your head do you alter your course or stop until the gnat flies by or would you expect the gnat to do that? Cars don't need to "defend" against a bike any more than you need to "defend" against a gnat. Having bicycles on car roads is EXACTLY like cars driving up and down runways at airports. -

Do you see all of that blue stuff surrounding the whale? It is called water. Do you know why the whale is surrounded by water? Because a whale is fish!!! -

Great. Another hippy. Just what the board needs. Humans are the same as animals. We are no better or worse. We've heard it all before dude and guess what? Humans are better than animals, including mammals. -

Human farts do not contribute to global warming. It is only mammal farts. -
For several years, it has been known that cow farts cause global warming. It is not just cows, but all mammals. Cows evidently fart the most because they take a lot of flack over the whole thing. I have been saying that we should kill all the mammals so that humans may live. Now this idiot is saying that we should stop eating meat. How dumb can he be? If we stop eating meat the cows will just keep reproducing and there will be farts everywhere. The real solution is to kill all mammals so that humans may live. If we kill them, we also get the meat for food. It seems to me that increasing meat eating would reduce global warming.

You are making my point for me. How do the Bills suddenly get good on 4th down when they sucked on 3rd down? It is the same skill set. That is why the stats will even out. These are just numbers so please do not be offended. I am not trying to have a sucky demeanor.
-
Tiger Woods has more skill than his competitors. He also has more dedication and preparation. I doubt he stops winning. A 4th and two situaion is not a competitor. It is a statistical situation. It is math. It may not seem like a coin flip, but over time it becomes one. P.S. By OR i meant Operating Room, not Oregon but I think you knew that.
-
The Patriots cheated. I could flip 100 heads in a row if I rigged the coin. I suppose it is possible the Bills can steal signals on 4th down, but if so why not steal them every down? As for the Lions, I think Matt Millen's ineptitude is greater than Tiger Woods greatness.
-
Is this like one of those warnings they give detectives in the movies when they get too close to the truth?
-
Were you in the OR? Did you violate Hippo and get his medical records somehow?
-
Look, it's ok to be intimidated by advanced concepts like regressing to the mean. It is hard for some people to understand. To sum it up, statistical flukes even out over time. The stoppages the Bills have had are lopsided on a percentage basis. If they are better than the other teams at 4th down then they might beat the norm by a little but not a lot. Right now they are beating it by a lot. Look at it this way, Tiger Woods is the best golfer. He has arguably the biggest current advantage over his competitors in all of sports. Over time this proves out to be true as he wins a lot of tournaments. But he does not exactly get a hole in one on every par 3 he plays. He can't beat the par 3s every time just because he is the best. This might not be the perfect example but I think you get it. Right? I doubt you're calling the Bills defense the Tiger Woods of football so you'd probably agree now that they will start giving up a lot of 4th downs.
