Arizona Cardinals New Stadium design
simadafuma replied to buffalobillsfootball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I lived about 2 blocks from where that stadium is being built. It was a giant bean field when I lived there. It's a great boost to the east side of Phoenix as the only other thing there at the time was Luke AFB (Where I was stationed). Now Glendale has the hockey area and the football stadium. Glad to see improvements in the old neighborhood. -
(OT)NewOrleans has no one to blame but...

http://americanradioworks.publicrad...cane_print.html A natural disaster that the local government should have been better prepared for. That article is from September 2002. 3 Days warning???? Try 3 years warning. Yet the Local New Orleans government allowed and encoraged people to build and reside in this area. Where does the problem lie? The local and state government. -

I took over the team last season for a guy that got kicked out. I had little to no talent coming in and kept McNair and Dillon from the squad the previous year. Moulds was my best WR and didn't want to keep him. I was solid at RB and almost kept Dillon again and let WM go. I could only protect on RB. I could have protected Shockey but felt I could do better drafting ( I feel that I did). Good points about the late rounders and building for next season. That's how I got WM last year, but most, if not all of the players you mentioned where gone. I was pretty loaded by the end of it so I can't say for sure.

This is a keeper league. You can not keep two players at the same position. I didn't have another option other than Brooks. These where the players that were protected and I drafted 3rd. Westbrook Holt Brees Barber Brooks McGahee Portis Moss McNabb Lewis McCallister C Johnson Holmes Harrison P Manning James Culpepper Alexander Tomlinson Owens R Johnson was my best option with the 3rd pick. Could have taken Green or Dillon but I feel that Johnson is going to put up better numbers. I agree with your analysis of the QB's. Vick was attractive because of the double points. I hate having Brooks and tried to deal (Martin, Dillon) for a starting QB. Even offered Dillon for Delhomme and the player decided Barber was better than Dillon and rejected the offer. Harrington should be decent. I think the wideouts will be fine. Muhammad and Moulds both have QB questions, but they're going to get thiers. Burleson is the man in Minnesota. Stallworth filled a spot and Curry and Curtis were drafted in the last two rounds. Not too concerned. I thought I did well with Clark at TE considering Gates and Gonzo went in the 2nd round. Troupe was a reach but there wasn't any proven tight ends available. As far as an F at kicker goes, I'm not drafting a kicker in the 4th and 5th round, which is were Vanderjagt, Vinatieri and Janikowski went. Longwell was taken by the guy just before me in round 8. Stover and Graham were also taken before me in round 8. But as you said, a kicker is a kicker. Chicago will do fine. There are quality DEF left in Free Agency in case something should go haywire there.

This is a 10 team Keeper League. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF You get double points for: QB - run/catch RB - catch/throw WR/TE - throw/run PK - throw/run/catch QB - A Brooks (10) Kept QB - M Vick (8) QB - J Harrington (3) RB - W McGahee (9) Kept RB - R Johnson (10) RB - M Bennett (5) RB - TJ Duckett (8) RB - W Green (4) WR - N Burleson (5) WR - M Muhammad (4) WR - E Moulds (9) WR - D Stallworth (10) WR - K Curtis (9) WR - R Curry (5) WR - R White (8) TE - D Clark (8) TE - B Troupe (10) K - J Carney (10) K - J Hanson ( 3) DEF - Chicago (4) DEF - Indy (8) What's everybody think?

Buffalo needs to do this NOW!

No, but I heard that Sundowners was discussing it. -
I'm drafting tomorrow night in a keeper league. I have Willis McGahee, Curtis Martin, Deshaun Foster, Terrell Owens, Eric Moulds, Jeremy Shockey and Aarron Brooks as potential keepers. It's a snake draft and I can keep two players. The two players can't be at the same position. I draft third. I'm keeping Willis for sure. I'm wondering who else I should keep. I can only keep one player and get an extra pick before the third round. Another possibility is to offer Martin, Foster or TO for a QB. Most if not all worthy high pick RB are going to be kept. Top QB's will be kept as well. I might keep Brooks and hope to get Martin back with my 3rd overall pick. Any thoughts?

IMHO, He's better than Bledsoe.

That's the funniest thing I've read in a while!
-
I agree completely. He isn't going to be available in the league I was referring to because it's a keeper league and the salary hit is minimal since he was a last round pickup last year. I'm keeping him cheap. I wasn't saying anyone in my league had him ranked #1 overall but a couple FF experts (whatever that means), have him ranked #1 overall. Can't remember the magazine it was in.

The dude get's paid to catch the football. He deserves the beating that he takes for dropping the football.
-
I wouldn't think he'll be around that late. I took him in the last round last year in case Henry went down and I could trade him. He ended up kickin butt for me and I'm keeping him this year. I keep seeing him on magazine covers and reading about his fantasy value. Alot of people have him as the number 1 overall pick.
-
Is anyone else worried about all this hype Willis is getting? I honestly believe he's going to have a killer year, but all this attention about his Fantasy value has me worried about some kind of Madden like jinx. I'm keeping him in one league. Hell of a last round pick! Hope it doesn't jinx us.

Welcome.

Strong a WR and decent at RB.... with only 6 guys you should have been able to better at QB, but Collins should be decent and Bulger is solid.... If Janikowski get's ahold of Collins he may get back to his PSU form.... Really drunk and really good!

For those angry at Terrell....

Many, many deer. Costs me the $100 comprehensive deductable. As a matter of fact I hit a deer on the way home from my last Bills game, just south of Olean. The way I see it is hitting them is better than wrecking your vehicle completely when you swerve to miss them. -
My girlfriend and I have two new friends......
simadafuma replied to CentralVaBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A few years back, my dad, brother, my brothers friend Aaron and I went to a Bills - Colts game. Aaron is a big Steelers fan but had never been to a football game before. It's about a two and half hour drive to the stadium from here. The entire way to Orchard Park, Aaron is running his yap about how he was going to wear his Steelers jacket into the Bills game. We get to the stadium and get parked, right of the exit. We have a pretty long walk to the stadium and I can see that Aaron is quite nervous about his decision to wear gold and black into Bills country. We didn't get 100 yards from the car and he'd had enough abuse and headed back to the car to drop the jacket. Even now, years later, I still dog him about his disloyalty to the Steelers. Best part was it was a Colts game! -

As a six year old, I remember how excited my die-hard Bills fan grandmother was the day the Jim Kelly was signed by the Bills. I watched the first season game at her house with her and have ever since been a faithful Bills fan. That first game is one of my earliest and fondest memories. -
