While I respect your opinion about Ball State, since you do seem to be a pretty big fan of them, I think your view of Buffalo is tainted just because they are in the other half of the conference. Let me start by saying that I follow UB, but by no means am I a fan. I follow them because I am a Syracuse fan, and am from Buffalo, and since the 'Cuse has sucked so bad, I had to find something else to gain interest in. Buffalo is not as bad of a team as you make them out to be. Are they going to be going to a BCS game anytime soon? No. Are they one of the top teams in their conference? Absolutely. Let's not forget that Buffalo is a FG doinked off the uprights, and a late 4th quarter collapse away from beating BOTH Central AND Western Michigan respectively. Not to mention that they played respectable games against both Missouri and Pittsburgh, both better OOC teams than Ball State has played this year. Yes, Ball State beat Indiana, which should be commended, it is good for the conference. But Indiana is BAD. I think your recent success this year has darkened the rose-colored Ball State sunglasses that you have on. Don't forget that Buffalo and Ball State were in relatively the same position a couple of years ago. Both were complete laughing stocks. Both had coaches come in, get recruits, and take their program to new heights. As far as Willy goes, over his career he certainly is not the QB that either Davis or LeFevour is. But over this year, they are not that different. NAME CMP ATT YDS CMP% YDS/A TD INT RAT Nate Davis 201 299 2822 67.2 9.44 24 6 169.0 NAME CMP ATT YDS CMP% YDS/A TD INT RAT Drew Willy 206 325 2348 63.4 7.23 18 4 139.9 NAME CMP ATT YDS CMP% YDS/A TD INT RAT D LeFevour 201 298 2153 67.5 7.23 15 4 142.1 In actuality, Willy and Lefevour are having almost identical years. It would be great for the MAC if somehow Ball State gets into the BCS, but I don't see it happening. Especially with Utah and Boise State still hanging around. If both of them had one loss, I would say it's a possibility, but without it, they both have much better quality wins than Ball State does. I am really excited to see the Ball State - Buffalo matchup. I think it will be a much better game than you think.

Snowstorm looming for Monday night game?

This will be the biggest bag I have ever packed for a one day trip. I am bringing clothes for every possible situation. -
Those are some nice shots. Just seeing it lit up at night is giving me goosebumps. Next week will be my first nighttime Bills game ever....

Not sure, but that lick that Cook put on the gunner on the Miami punt was unreal...nothing like seeing a decleating block on a punt.
-
This is correct. 4 division winners, and two wild card teams per conference. Previous poster might have had baseball on the mind.

Not really similar, but during halftime of the Oakland game, a guy got really tired of waiting for a urinal, and busted open the janitors closet, and peed in a mop bucket. That was pretty entertaining.
-
There were a lot of key differences. Edwards controlled the ball, and sustained drives. We got pressure on Rivers, which we did none of in the last game against Warner. And, like one of the previous posters said, it was a home game after a bye week. We were flat out prepared for this game.

Gate 7 and Gate 6 at RWS
ThePebble19 replied to Offside Number 76's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It took us about 15 mins at gate 7...that was around 12:15 or so. -
A 3rd sometimes also happens to be like a Coy Wire.

Just watched it. And it hurts... it still hurts.

I was 8 years old in 1991 when that happened. Cried my eyes out after the kick. I still shed a tear last night when I watched it on DVR after taping it...The worst part was towards the end when Scott was walking off the field and then stopped and turned back around toward midfield like he couldn't believe what just happened...like there should still be one more shot... -

WOW Bills fans, you brought it today!

It was unbelieveable. That crowd before that last 3rd down the Raiders had that we stopped them on was so loud, I couldnt even hear myself talk. I actually said out loud, "This is absolutely un-****ing believeable!" During the kick, I think everyone in 204 was holding hands, and when it went through and you saw that the Raiders didn't get the time out off, it was just pure celebration. There was another guy in the section with me that kept running up and down the aisles, even after the long Oakland TD, "We're not losing to the ****ing Raiders!" I gave that guy the biggest hug after the game, everyone in our section was hugging, high fiving, singing... Best football experience I have ever been to. That is the kind of game that makes season tickets worth every penny of the price. -
When Thurman went up on the wall, he was in the Fieldhouse for 15 minutes signing autos and taking pictures before the game. Maybe Bruce will be the same way.

Woah...lets not get crazy...Im happy at 2-0 going into this Oakland game. Reading the Jets boards is hilarious right now though...It's like everyone can't figure out why they looked so bad this week...as if barely beating Miami last week was a fluke, and Miami was just very good. Looks like reality is setting in in NYC.

GREAT QUOTE RE: WILLIS MCGAHEE
ThePebble19 replied to THE GASH STATION's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's Classic. One more reason why my jersey is better off as McLovin than McGahee. http://s141.photobucket.com/albums/r51/the...19/DSC08543.jpg -
Like I said...I got the font, measured it out to the size I needed, and used photoshop to get the name and outline. Took that design to a screen printing place, and had them screen it on a tshirt. Then when I got the shirt back, I cut the name out of the shirt, and used a sewing machine to outline each letter to make it look embroidered, even though it wasnt. Then I just lined it up, and sewed the tshirt over the existing nameplate.
-
I just got my gameday jersey done last night. Got this idea early in the offseason, and began planning how to get it done. Turned the McGahee Jersey into a McLovin jersey. About 3 months after I had the idea, I saw a Youtube video of a guy who had put a piece of tape over his jersey to say McLovin...I think mine blows that out of the water. Got the Bills jersey lettering font, and had "LOVIN" made up on a navy shirt in white with Royal outline. (Cost was 10 bucks) Took a sewing machine and outlined the letters to make them look stitched, and then cut the "LOVIN" off of the T-shirt and sewed it over the "GAHEE" on my jersey. The result? Magnificent: http://s141.photobucket.com/albums/r51/the...19/DSC08543.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r51/the...19/DSC08544.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r51/the...19/DSC08545.jpg

Hotels in Buffalo convenient for going out on sat
ThePebble19 replied to kenny3000's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Im staying at this Econolodge for the Oakland game coming up...as long as I don't feel like I have to sleep in my clothes on top of the covers, I think I'll be ok. The other games I am coming up for, we are staying at the EconoLodge Buffalo South, on milestrip near orchard park, I think... -
Sounded very impressive on the radio. With that kind of offense, next week could actually get interesting. Biggest thing for them next week, CONTAIN. LESEAN. MCCOY. The rest can fall into place.

Bought a Poz jersey tonight...

The ones on the Bills site are the ones with screened numbers. The EQT jersey has sewn numbers and letters, on a replica jersey. -
Bought a Poz jersey tonight...
ThePebble19 replied to ThePebble19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No offense taken. I think his attitude really makes a lot of people like him. He was a pretty big beast in college too, so that probably had something to do with it. I live in PSU country, and this year was the first time I had even seem them pop up around here. Usually the only Bills jerseys I see around here happen to be a XXL McGahee or Moulds that has been on the clearance rack for a couple of years. -
So, I had decided that I was going to get one of those EQT Premier jerseys this season, but I couldn't decide on a player. I already own a Lynch throwback, and I wasn't really sold on an Evans jersey, especially with his contract lingering... I had pretty much made my mind up that I was going to take money with me to Buffalo when I go up for the Oakland game, and buy it there, because there would be a better variety of jerseys to choose from than here in PA. However, at the local sports store here in the mall, I noticed a Poz EQT jersey there tonight. It is 110 dollars, and they had a kickoff deal going that if you donated 5 dollars to the CMN, you would get 20% off your order. Immediately, I started considering this jersey...I like Poz, might be one of my favorite people on the team, but am concerned about health and the longevity of my jersey. Ultimately, I decided that I liked him enough to go ahead and get the jersey. Got it for 93 bucks (since there is no sales tax on clothing here in PA), which I already knew was a great decision over the 110.00 plus whatever ungodly sales tax is in Erie county right now. My question is...did I make the right decision going with a Poz jersey? I like him, but something seems to bug me about my purchase... any thoughts?

Yep, 1st time season ticket holder here too...Im in 204. Looking forward to it. I won't make it to every game, but I bought the tickets so my family could all go to Bills games. Parents, sister and her husband, the wife and I, and two of my buddies that live down here in South Central PA are all Bills fans, and I got rid of the rest of my tickets to them for face value. Ill be up for Oakland, San Diego and Cleveland.
