So, basically JP bailed out the defense today?
ThePebble19 replied to IndyMark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He looked like turd all day...The only reason we won was because of our defense and Favre being a horrible QB at this point of his career...The coverage was blown on the Evans TD....My Grandmother could have hit him for a TD... -

The way things are going, just give it a few years, and you can watch them in their new stadium out there. -
I agree with Jay Mariotti...Between all of the players, the helmet swinging, the announcer approving of his former team whipping ass, and then the jumping around afterword by the Miami team like they were happy about it, they should both be given the death penalty for the rest of the year.

Troy Polamalu picks off Huard. As he's running it back, Larry Johnson leaps and grabs his hair, and tackles him by it. LJ gets hit with a 15 yd unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. What a bunch of crap. The NFL should mandate that there should be no hair from underneath the helmet.

I am working on a job for my small business and I need to put together a poster. The two logos I was given to work with are kind of small and somewhat pixellated... Is there anyone here that would be willing to vectorize these images for me? It would be a great help if anyone has some extra time that they could lend me. If anyone is interested, reply and I will email the pictures.

Question for out-of-towners who go to the Ralph
ThePebble19 replied to Stevie Ray's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ouch...Yeah, I havent stayed there in a few years...The last two times we have been to Buffalo we have either stayed with family in Cheektowaga or at the Holiday Inn Express in Cheektowaga right by the airport... It's really an easy drive from out there too. -
Question for out-of-towners who go to the Ralph

Can't remember if it is a holiday inn or a days inn in Hamburg, but there is a bowling alley attached to one...I have stayed there a few times. Oh, how I miss living in Lakeview and being only minutes from an NFL team... -

Get that 3some man....you go get it. -
Awesome. Unfortunately, he is still killing my fantasy team with NO FRIGGIN TOUCHDOWNS. I started him over Frank Gore for the first two weeks and it killed me. Thought for sure with Buffalo against my Jets this week, McGahee would be in the end zone at least once.... Again, I was wrong. And furthermore, I finally play Gore this week since LT was off, and he gets hurt. I hate Fantasy Football.

Not sure if they do this in Buffalo, but I have seen it in baseball, in Baltimore...If you come to the game and are the designated driver, you can go to a stand and get a wristband that will give you free soda all game long. With the band on, you cannot order any alcohol. This is a good idea, I think, but the last time I was in Buffalo for a game, we sat in front of a guy who had snuck a bottle of rum in the stadium in his jacket, and was mixing it in his giant souvenier soda all game long...needless to say, by the end of the game, he was really, really, rediculously drunk...A scary thought with as many altercations as it seems there was yesterday, that security could be bad enough to allow someone a glass bottle in the stadium that could be used as a weapon. I love going to live football games, and I have been to Buffalo for games many, many times. But it is the kind of people who drink so much they vomit on others, and get so riled up that they start fights not only with opposing fans (who in many cases were being quiet all game long) but the home teams fans, that keep me from bringing my wife or kids to a live game. A shame, a real shame.

Extremely Disappointed
ThePebble19 replied to billsfanmiami(oh)'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have the same feeling about any sporting event I attend...If I spent money (sometimes, depending on the team, a lot of money) for tickets, beer, food, etc. I am going to stay until the game is OVER. It pains me to see the people that leave the stadiums in the 4th quarter when their team is down, but you see it all the time. To tell you the truth, I was surprised I didn't see it in the 3rd quarter of the Jets-Phins game last week when the Jets were down 24-0. -

ThePebble19 replied to billsfanmiami(oh)'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have to agree...I can't believe how empty that stadium was in the last 4 or 5 minutes of the game...it looked almost like a 3 to 1 empty seat to person ratio. I even said to my Dad after Buffalo recovered the onside kick, "and 2000 fans go nuts!" -
JPs post game press conference's
ThePebble19 replied to Rayzer32's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he will...He showed a lot of heart today. He did everything he could to try to get his team the win. I agree about the press conference. I like a QB that takes puts the blame on his own shoulders. -
Has anyone given the Jets credit?
ThePebble19 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fact of the matter is, the Jets took advantage of every opportunity they were given. Their coaching called all of the right plays and they put points on the board when they needed to. Let's face it, From mid-2nd quarter on, the Jets owned this game. Maybe not in yardage, but they controlled the tempo. They got the turnovers when they needed to, and they made the stops when they needed to. More importantly, they put the points on the board when they had the opportunity, and controlled the clock with great on field leadership from Pennington. It has nothing to do with who is better. The Jets simply out-coached the Bills today. This is the 2nd game this year that the Bills coaching staff has cost them a win. After the "Let's go for it" call against the Pats that cost them the momentum, and ultimately, the game, they come into this game with a horrible fake FG call and completely suspect playcalling. I'm sorry, but when Willis had been slamming the ball down our throat all day long like that, what is the point of running a PA Bootleg on the 2 yard line? Between that and the non-use of the challenge flag, the Bills were simply out-coached. I am a Jets fan, and will tell you that the Jets with continuous defensive play like we had today, we will win no more than 6 games this year. However, if this staff can get this young team to play better each week, we might be able to squeak out 8 or 9 wins this year. Not bad, considering most "experts" were giving us the #1 pick before the year started. -
This was a good, hard fought game. Can't place all the blame on JP. He played well, and McGahee was a monster today. However, it was the turnover battle that the Jets won, and in the end, wound up getting them the win. I still can't believe that Jauron kept abandoning the run...McGahee should have had a career day today, by running all over us and getting to the end zone, but every time he was stopped for a short gain or a loss, Buffalo would go back to the pass...Also some real questionable Buffalo playcalls. Good heart shown by the Bills to stay in this game and not give up when they were down 15 with almost no time to go. Way to stay in there, which is more than I can say for the people in the stands...I can't believe how fast that building emptied out. Again, good game, still one more of these to go this year.

Anyone who spends any time on that board will know that 90% of what comes out of SAR's mouth is sarcasm.

I will agree with that. However, I was implying more that the Herm-led Jets were less apt to come back when they got down. His playcalling is just way too conservative, and I think it is proving itself to be true in KC this year. The Jets I'm sure will try to get the run going early, and it will be key for Buffalo to shut them down out of the gate...the Jets have had NO rushing attack, but it doesn't mean that Barlow, Blaylock, Houston, Washington, or even Brad Smith don't have the ability to put together a big game. If Buffalo shuts the door on the running game early, like Tennessee and NE did against them, it will force Chad to throw 40 times again this week...Not that it has been a a bad thing, since he has thrown for 650 yards and 4TD (with one meaningless Hail Mary INT). It is going to be a tough week for me overall, even moreso than usual. I watch the games as the only Jets fan in a family of Buffalo-born, Die Hard Bills fans. I'm talking parents that were 17-year season ticket holders. It is easier now that I am older, and married and out of the house, but for these two weeks a year, My Dad and I have a great time watching the game and jawing at each other...It will be especially hard this week, because I have McGahee on my fantasy team... Ah well...I will get through this week, and next week I will get on with cheering both of my football teams on. -

This is going to be a close game, closer than I think a lot of people are saying it will be. As a Jets fan that grew up in Buffalo, I still follow both teams like they are my favorite...The Jets are coming off of a great 2nd half of football against the Pats where a couple of big plays for them almost got them back in it. A great play by Cotchery, Interception, Great play by Coles, Sack Brady and recover a Fumble, Field Goal, and then a blocked Field Goal that led to a drive that just ran out of time. This IS NOT your Herman Edwards' led Jets squad...Eric Mangini has these boys playing with heart, and they will be in high gear until the final whistle blows. Buffalo MUST get to Chad quickly to get this game going in their favor. He has a quicker release than ever this year, and is probably playing the smartest football of his life. The Jets' "Dink and Dunk" style will play to their advantage with the very fast recievers that are good at making people miss, as you could all see in the highlights of the Pats game. The Jets have NO RUNNING GAME AT ALL, which should make the Bills objective simple. Get to Chad, Win the Game. On the other hand, if the Jets shut down McGahee, which is something they have had a lot of trouble with in recent history (as well as with every other back they have played this year), they will win this game hands down. I don't think JP has the ability to take over a game and win it if he is forced to throw 25 or 30 times. Under that kind of pressure, I think he will buckle and make some mistakes that will cost Buffalo the game. My prediction is Jets 17, Bills 13. -
I'm almost not looking forward to the Jets
ThePebble19 replied to Arkady Renko's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't be too sure of that. Getting ready to face a QB that has just thrown for 300 yards in two straight weeks. Not to mention two recievers who have just lit up Tennessee and New England. All of this despite a lack of a running game. Don't sleep on the Jets, or it will be a long day on Sunday. -
Not to mention that catch and great run by Jericho Cotchery in the Jets game...I haven't seen a WR play that crazy since Antonio Freeman's catch a few years back.

Wow...I think I would give up body parts for that weekend...I am really getting excited about this Bulls team...He just has these guys playing like a real team! GO UB! Beat NI this week! Here's a thought...If UB holds Garrett Wolfe to less than 170 yards on the ground, does that mean that they have a better run defense than Ohio State?
