  1. We're better off getting rid of anyone who actually needs that type of training. That and many times, the people who are really good at something are unable to teach it. Think of the incredible coaching career of Wayne Gretzky.
  2. And then there's some of the parents who are trying to show their kids stuff. I've seen this one father a few times getting his kid to use a leg press machine. Every single rep, the kid locks his knees as the father watches. Maybe at that age, they can get away with it, but it makes me cringe each time.
  3. What if she's a couple of years removed from being 400 lbs. Would you listen more closely to her advice?
  4. I hate the internet I want boyst's laser so I can take out my neighbor's drone. I'm not crazy about him always taking pictures of the neighborhood.
  5. Why was that posted on weather.com?
  6. And they might as well be three conferences within one bigger league. Their champions and a host team play for the memorial cup, Canadian junior hockey's Stanley cup.
  7. Actually, I'd say one looks like a football player and the other looks like he never played any sport.
  8. I'm picturing the consistency in something like a snickers, but I guess they could go harder than that. I'll just have to buy the things and find out.
  9. If you're worried about missing a lot of things, that kind of commute could hurt. I'm around 30 miles from my office and wind up away from the house for about 12 hours. That includes around an hour and a half at the gym and some bad traffic, so you could definitely trim down that number a bit. What kind of traffic would you expect?
  10. Any chance they can throw these things or something similar on the roof of any future dome built for the Bills? Seems like a great marketing opportunity for them.
  11. If we're going to talk about a single game, I think there's a much bigger factor than giving up home ice. I'd be more concerned about playing a game under completely different conditions than the other 81. Weather, sun, ice conditions... there are so many variables in place with these outdoor games where they're not really a regulation NHL game anymore. I still think they need to scrape the whole outdoor regular season game and instead use that for the all star game. But yes, I know this idea has no chance because there's way too much money to be made.
  12. My brother killed a canada goose years ago with his tee shot. It wasn't as crazy as this one though. The bird was on the ground and the ball got it square in the head during its descent. So a lot less speed on the ball at that point, but it still did the job. I consider it a victory for all as it was one less bird to crap all over the course.
  13. I don't think it's a big deal to most of the fans to lose one game at home. The crazy thing is playing a "home game" deep in the heart of another team's market.
  14. It feels like Jessica Jones has been lost in the shuffle thanks to that process. Daredevil got his second season. Cage was introduced in her show and then got his season. So far, she hasn't been seen since and it has been a long time. Her show was so good, I wish they could have found a way to include her a bit more prior to this point.
  15. If I had to guess, I would have said M&Ms would be the top seller. Then again, that's going to depend on the location of the machine. M&Ms are probably a bigger seller with the kids, so an office machine could skew away from that. And speaking of M&Ms, I've been seeing caramel ones in my gas station lately. I'm curious to see how that works out, an M&M with a liquid filling. I don't know if they've done that before. They've definitely gone overboard with some of their flavors, but you can't go wrong with the combination of caramel and chocolate.
  16. I like it for no reason other than the uncertainty that comes with any GM change. We have no idea what kind of moves he might like to make and it makes for a more interesting offseason.
  17. Wait, what? How on earth can they justify that? I see in a TSN link that there's some contractual thing where all Rag home games need to be at MSG, but that's just odd. I wonder if they split the gate differently between home and visitor teams in these games.
  18. That and Letterman went away a couple years ago. It's a shame what has become of late night tv. I'll admit to only seeing random clips here and there, but it's completely changed.
  19. I've always wondered if they factored this into BMI calculation. If you lose one limb, you're still the same height, so you've cut down that BMI quite a bit. Now if you were to take off both legs, you're lighter, but you're now also much shorter. Now I don't know the weight of two human legs, but you may very well have increased your BMI. So it seems like if you need to cut back so much to the point that you may need to take two limbs, going with one arm and one leg would be a better option.
  20. The other thread got me thinking about this. Sometimes the wrong people disappear. Who is that celebrity that you wish would just go away? After seeing the trailer for the latest Pirates movie, Johnny Depp is at the top of my list.
  21. Just like Butterfinger being on both lists, Crunch and Krackel are the same exact thing. But anyway, I'm still not convinced that anyone has ever bought a full size version of any of those hershey's minis, other than the regular milk chocolate bar.
  22. I didn't even know they made full size versions until recently. I know it's obvious that they do, but I had never actually seen one. Anyway, I've always been a Nestle's Crunch fan. If you want to take that up a notch, the 100 grand bar is good too.
  23. More speculation than spoiler, but I'll play it safe:
  24. I understand the producing part since he actually has to do something on those movies. This one has to be the cushiest voice acting gig of all time. I hope Cooper makes more from these movies than he does. It only seems fair.
  25. I went to Guardians yesterday. I enjoyed it, but I think they went a little over the top with the humor. Did Drax have more than one line that wasn't a joke? On a side note, I'd love to know how much they payed Vin Diesel for these two movies.
