  1. According to Chef's post, that cop was 100% right. It doesn't matter if the crack actually obstructed your view. It only mattered if he believed it did. The fact that you're citing that law to him only hammers home the point that you are very well aware of the crack and that it could potentially lead to some trouble if pulled over. Maybe you do happen to know that law for other reasons, but it will definitely raise suspicions when you bring that up immediately.
  2. It's not like they have 3 of them. It can't add too much time to the game. If they really want to mess around to increase scoring, I'd expand that no change after an icing rule. Don't allow a change after any rules violation. You put the puck out of play? No change. Offside? No change. The huge one would be after a penalty. Imagine the scenario where a defenseman takes a penalty and you are stuck with 3 forwards and 1 defenseman on the ice for a defensive zone faceoff. That right there would spike scoring a bit. The only times you get to change are on the fly, after the goalie covers the puck, or when the other team makes one of those rule violations. My only concern with all of this is it could lead to some faking of injuries. You'd have to allow a change for injury.
  3. Directv? I lost any show I was DVRing last night. Now I need to figure out when AMC makes this available online.
  4. Kind of defeats the purpose of fast food though, doesn't it? Even if that line moves quickly, it still sounds like more time than it's worth.
  5. My neighborhood is stuck in a crappy situation right now with a lot of work. We're new construction, so there's a lot of warranty related touch ups where we are stuck with the people the builder used. Those guys aren't interested in the warranty work since they make no money off of it. So they delay as long as possible. We had a column on our back patio that needed to be replaced. From start to finish, it took them 8 months to take care of that as they just abandoned it mid-work and then no showed for months. It took the lawyer threat to finally get that taken care of. My personal favorite is that when I do have the patio screened, that pillar will be replaced again. My current ongoing experience is actually vinyl siding related. Some of the more energy efficient windows they use now can actually cause the siding to melt. The windows wind up reflecting a focused beam of light onto the siding it over time, it melts. So now I'm waiting on one contractor to replace my next door neighbor's windows and another to do my siding. They're ready to go on the siding, but they can't do that until the windows are gone. That company is probably the slowest one in the entire neighborhood. I'm guessing that's probably not much of an issue up there, but it could be something to keep in mind with the vinyl siding.
  6. Good luck to you. My neighbor just ran into both extremes with two jobs he had done on his house. The first was putting in a screen porch. The work was very quick and looks great. On top of all of that, the price was surprisingly low. Part of that was because my neighbor had to paint it himself prior to the screens being put in, but it was totally worth it. The contractor actually stopped by unannounced a couple times just to check in and see how the painting process was going. The wife and I plan on getting ours screened as well, so we already know who we will get for the work. Right after that was done, he had another contractor put some crown molding in his house. The workers showed up 5 hours late and then only took measurements. They then came back the next day late again (sunday of memorial day weekend) and where there until like 10PM. My neighbor missed out on the neighborhood cookout thanks to all of this. They then said they would come back this past saturday to cover the nail marks and paint them. Again, the two workers showed up hours late. And instead of actually doing anything, they argued the whole time, right in front of my neighbors, about how to break up the payment between the two of them. They wound up not doing any work at all. One guy came back by himself yesterday to finish and was again there until after sundown. Long story short, keep doing what you're trying here and do your homework. It's not worth the hassle of finding that second guy from above.
  7. I know it was pretty much more of the same from just about every Will Smith role, but I didn't mind Deadshot in that one either. But yeah, the entire thing was all about Harley. I'm not so sure there's enough there to work with when it comes to getting her in more movies, but hopefully they find more for her.
  8. Their sandwiches are probably better than most of their mainstream competition, but I don't really see why they are so popular. But then again, I'm the type that only eats at fast food places if I'm in a serious time crunch. So in those occasions, I tend to head somewhere else mostly because I don't like the waffle fries. I usually wind up at another southern chain that's big on chicken, Zaxby's.
  9. That's such an odd way of reporting it. Don't they say that about every single player, "if the price is right"?
  10. He was originally a practice squad player with the Bills, right? I'm sure that's not what people are going for when the mention him, but he was in fact cut by the Bills.
  11. Judge him once he has an NHL caliber Defense in front of him
  12. I hope Trey Parker was given a bit of freedom to be Trey Parker in Dispicable Me 3. Granted it would have to be a toned down version, but I hope he added in some ad libbing that made its way into the movie.
  13. That's for the guy who sticks around college beyond that four year mark. Petersen would have been that guy if he had stayed for his senior year. As for Eichel, you missed the very important portion of the CBA quote where it says the later of the two scenarios.
  14. I wonder what kind of odor the officer was mentioning at the start of the video.
  15. Yeah, that was such a long wait to sign Antipin, what with his pesky little existing contract in the way. Even the law is out to screw over the Sabres.
  16. In other words, he makes this announcement with the sole intention of heading to free agency. If your plan is to sign with Buffalo, the first announcement made is that you signed.
  17. It has to be much closer to 7-0 at this point, doesn't it?
  18. The only thing that really sticks out to me is that Mike's storyline may seem completely insignificant if you watch BCS first. I can't picture that fitting in very well with the rest of the show if you're starting here first. He was my favorite character out of all of them, so in a way, I almost wish he had been the focal point of the spinoff instead.
  19. Why not? It worked for Eddie Murphy... oh wait, no it didn't.
  20. You haven't been introduced to 4mer yet, have you? The bold portion answered your own question.
  21. "Arm/hand laying across sleeping son's lap" does sound a bit awkward. But of course they're going to sue over losing 1 hour of their day.
  22. It's impossible to prove. Other than maybe dragging the drug maker's name through the mud a bit, there is absolutely nothing to be gained. If you try to go up against them, you quickly realize exactly how much money they have.
  23. What is Kim's deal anyway? Is she simply overworked or is she having money issues too? I almost got the feeling that she wanted Jimmy to back out of the lease so they wouldn't be in the building anymore.
