If you could go back in time to high school
shrader replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I'm a 2000 graduate, so I'd go back and tell myself not to bother watching football anymore. -
Quite honestly, I'd say that Murray's biggest error was that he pulled the trigger too soon. That group should have been allowed to grow together a bit before they made all the trades to add in the bigger pieces. So far that appears to be the difference here. I fully expect the trades to come, but the team is going to be allowed to gel first. And yet I have no idea what any of these words mean. And should never be mentioned again, an annoying clique mentality that ruined a lot of good things.

And defense is the one position where I'd say that you can never have too much talent. I think you can overcome deficiencies among the forwards much easier than among the blue line. Now I know some might say that Pittsburgh won back to back cups with a mediocre group of defensemen, but that's a hell of a lot easier when you've got a center combo of Crosby and Malkin. Also, right now, this isn't about winning the cup. It's about getting back to respectable hockey, a team that actually wins a good number of their games.

2 episodes in so far. I really have no opinion at this point. -
The iteration that had McCabe going over there made the most sense to me. If they're moving Pareyko, they're going to need something coming back on the blueline. Maybe they would make that replacement on the free agency market, but I think they'd much rather get the guaranteed return of depth from the trade itself.

Its June 18th- And I hate Summer Already

I have to leave a fleece jacket on my desk chair each day even though it's currently 90 degrees outside. I almost need to leave some gloves here too. And I'm a person who almost never gets cold. At the same time, my boss's office is about 20 feet away and she's always saying it's way too hot in there. Maybe they'll finally get it right when we move to a new building later this year. -
It's been ages since I've seen that show. Was Garak the main cardasian? And I hate that I can't name that alien race right now with cringing a bit thanks to our modern day pseudo-celebrities.

The bonus is meaningless at this point. Buffalo can make the trade today while still paying the bonus. It would be listed as future considerations and then once the bonus has been paid, those future considerations are officially announced as O'Reilly. That or they reach a deal and then just wait the couple days to make it official.

And the gimp? edit: Oh yeah, it's obvious... Wesley Crusher

I was a fan of the drums originally. My dad and I would always be racing to find as many of those as we could. At this point, I think I'd want a 50/50 split. Both have their moments.

Sorry, I thought your original stance is that there would be no market for him, thanks in part to the contract. Now that we do know there's interest out there, I'll be very curious to see how this chatter changes once Buffalo has paid that July 1st bonus. I really don't have any expectation for what will happen with him, but as you're suggesting, it's going to come down to what exactly this team wants in return. If I'm the one calling those shots, there needs to be a player or two that can step in right now, more than likely some young prospects (25 or younger) about to step up to the NHL level.

I'm not talking about realism. I'm completely ok with the suspension of belief as long as the story makes sense. This whole thing expanding to what we're suggesting here (trying to stay somewhat vague for the sake of spoilers) just does not make any sense. They're going to chase people off quickly if they start trying to make too many leaps. I kind of wish they left the last one as a standalone because it's all going to go downhill from here. The fear of being confined in small spaces is what makes these kind of stories go.
