Do you ever find that one mixed in with all the baseballs that implodes the second you touch it?

2019 Movies You're Most Excited About?
shrader replied to Halloween Land's topic in Off the Wall Archives
They've done pretty well with the last two movies. I feel like they may finally get it now that they're focusing more on solo stories. I don't really know enough about Phillips to comment on that portion of the post. I do like the Phoenix choice, but at the same time, he feels a bit old for the role. Even if he's playing someone well below his actual age, there still looks to be a huge gap between him and the young Bruce Wayne who shows up in the trailer. On a side note, he looks like he's gone to Christian Bale levels when it comes to preparing for the role. Someone get the guy a sandwich. -

It definitely has a chance to be very unique compared to the rest of the comic book stuff. There’s so much potential with the character so please please please get it right. -

DC released a trailer for Joker today. I really hope they get that one right. -
Exactly. John and plenz's positions are not mutually exclusive. I can see plenty of support for both. The lack of talent is pretty glaring and the way this team quit, at least to me, is a reflection upon the coach. I know some might want to say that they've been in this same position every year, but I won't agree on that one. In the previous years, they sucked from start to finish. While the streak may have been a mirage, there were still some signs of life even before it this year.

But you can't confront an employee about anything controversial (email, picture, crappy drawing, whatever else...) without actually presenting to them the controversial item. Maybe there might be better ways to handle it, having specific people in the room, but what was described in this case is hardly something to realistically hold against the school. But hey, you're suing them, so you throw every last piece of crap you have against that wall. In this specific case though, if you're looking to hand out beatings, there's an incredibly obvious place where you should be starting that search, seeing as how only two people originally have that picture. Maybe the ex let the picture out accidentally (someone stole the phone and found the picture, that's definitely possible), but there's no more obvious place to start the search for who to beat.

I love the suggestion in the story that the school was trying to embarrass her when they asked whether or not the picture was her. I know you have to try whatever you can when you're suing someone, but that's one hell of a stretch.

I feel like I'm looking at green Chargers jerseys.

I hadn't thought to check this number until just now. The Rangers are the only team in the league with less ROWs (any non-shootout win) than Buffalo. Some might say a win is a win, but looking through the standings, it's amazing how clear it is that the ROW stat is a predictor of making the playoffs. 40 is a clear cutoff point. Whoever loses out among the 3 team eastern conference wild card race will be the only team in the entire NHL with >40 ROWs to miss the playoffs. Only one team in the league will make it with <40, likely Colorado taking the last spot out west. The other obvious stat is goal differential. Unless there's some crazy scores to end the season, there will be 17 teams with a positive goal differential. Again, it will be only that one non-wild card team in the east that misses out on the playoffs. It's amazing how clearly defined the top half and the bottom half of the league are this year.

Hell, it's not even Bill Murray's first run at zomcom (I hope this becomes a thing and officially replaces romcom).

It looks like they haven't really advanced things too much. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I'm surprised that the graphics look the same even though it will be on the newer systems.

The "seasoned" portion might be in question a bit, but your description there pretty much fits the Bylsma hire. So I don't really see a pattern here of hiring inexperience. The only other was Rolston, but that was just an interim position. Now if we want to apply that inexperience hire comment to the front office, now we have a pattern. I'm with you though, I think the next one definitely has to be very experienced.

The popular theory is going to have to be Maggie. The underwhelming choice would be Alicia from Fear. They were all over the radio waves for a while, even if it was 6 or so years ago. -

This one's very specific to where I live... That 2-3 day window where weather is absolutely perfect for lounging on the porch, right before the pollen and the humidity quickly take over. -

I just don't get why someone would call in a favor to save this guy, if that is in fact what happened. Why would you waste any capital to save such a small fish? It would be like me calling in a favor with one of the mods to save that kid who used to post reviews of the Smurf movies from a ban. A complete and utter waste of a favor. I think I know exactly where responses to this question will go, but it should be interesting to hear them. -

They pretty much have to. They can't exactly start a big fire outside to keep warm while they're surrounded by that massive walker herd. It would be kind of funny if they never showed back up ever again because they migrated somewhere completely different after the winter. That wouldn't make for good tv though. It sounded like a female voice to me, but I can't see any way of figuring out who it was. People will hear what they want to hear though, so it should make for some fun internet theories over the next couple months until they release a trailer for the next season. -

Not at all. That’s really the only negative I have for him. If I’m looking for a whipping boy, I’m not starting with the guy who nets nearly 40 goals, even if it’s in a contract year. Mine would be whoever didn’t realize this season was going off the tracks until it was way too late. For me, this is whole season boils down to one of two possibilities. They either didn’t realize everything was crumbling, or they did but had their eyes set on a year or two down the road. I’m not too crazy about either, but that first one terrifies me.
